Very light and wide view
Like the title says, this helmet is extremely light and has really good side vision, took a little getting used to. It fits a little snug, I wear medium in Icon and had to get a large, took about a week or two to break in. Highly recommend it.

The helmet is phenomenal. It fits on the snug side, I'm typically a medium in other brands but I had to get a large on the Nexx to ensure a proper fit. My only one gripe is the chin strap. There's a section of velcro next to the D-rings that fastens and is totally unnecessary. It ends up feeling extra bulky and rubs awkardly against your neck when you turn your head left or right.

Even the non-carbon model of this helmet is very light. The Motion graphics look great and the red matched the red in my Dainese Alien jacket perfectly. Visibility was great and operating the vents and visor with gloves one was easy.
The only problem I had with the helmet was the sizing. I'm a solid intermediate oval shape but the circumference of my head is 23" exactly. The size chart shows the medium goes up to 22.8" and the large starts at 23.2". The medium was very snug; it was an even pressure but ultimately too painful that it caused discomfort after about 15 minutes on my head. I exchanged it for a large but that one felt too loose. I tried positioning the additional pads to see if I could make it fit better but it was always too loose - if I shook my head the helmet would still have additional movement. I just didn't feel confident that this helmet would properly protect me in a crash.

A shopper asked:I had two Arai RXQs and was interested in getting a Nexx XR1R until I crashed and got knocked out. No concussion, no headache, nothing wrong. So I feel very safe with the Arai. Can I realistically expect the same protection from the Nexx? And size: does an X-small in Arai equate to an X-small in a Nexx?Nov 22, 2013
Daniel R:Unfortunatelly I can't answer that (or fortunatelly:). I can say it is very light and that does make a difference. On the down side, a bit loud and tends to fog (i use anti-fog spray to stop that).
That being said, it seems safety wise, most helmets do well nowadays, and surprisingly, many lower price helmets do as well as better as expensive counterparts (not that nexx are cheap). Anyway, good luck! I wear a size L, and it fits just like an L on my old exo400, similar to some shoei's I tried as well. A bit snug, but not in a bad way.
Rod H:While have not had an accident, the helmet feels very well built. I really enjoy its lightness, but even more I love the visibility. It has about the largest field of vision available in a full face. That might save your neck in itself. Preventive safety is even better than passive safety. I can only say in reference to sizing that it seemed to fit about right, but I am an XL.Nov 25, 2013
