Excellent face mask system
The shield fit right on my brand new Nexx XR1R system, I was slightly confused about all the different versions and hardware that might or might not be needed to install this so I waited for the helmet to be delivered first.
The removal and installation of the screen is extremely fast and easy. I am definitely happy with this purchase.

Perfect amount of tint
Great face shield. Huge view with the perfect percentage of tint. Can stare directly at the sun without issue or squinting.
Pricey visor, but more stylish then clear.. And no need for additional sunglasses. Not too dark for night riding also.

Dark tint is excellent
Tint very dark on the outside however, visibility is excellent. Cannot be worn during night rides though.

Dark Smoke. Good, but not quite perfect.
I had some problems with the visor fitting my XR1R with the FastShot upgrade. However, I think the issue was with the FastShot hardware and not the visor itself.
The dark smoke visor is very slick and makes the helmet look awesome. It's completely black from the outside, but it's not as dark as you'd think from inside the helmet. The visibility is similar to medium darkness sunglasses. Details are not lost when riding through shadows and shade or cloudy days. Although, the dark smoke is definitely too dark to safely use while riding at night.
The clarity visor is perfectly clear when the sun isn't directly on it, however, when the sun is high and raking across it, the view through the visor has a hazy quality about it. Almost like the visor is dirty. I thought it might have been film left over from manufacturing, but after washing it, the issue still persists. It's a bit unfortunate, because a good part of riding for me is enjoying the view in full clarity.
Also, bright objects, like reflections from chrome produce some rainbow lens flares. I noticed the same thing with the original XR1R clear visor when riding at night with oncoming headlights. It's a little distracting and I was hoping the black smoke wouldn't have this issue.
So in summary, good aesthetics and not ridiculous dark from the inside. But the optical quality leaves some room for improvement.

Next to photochromic, this is as good as it gets
Just the right amount of tint to reduce glare a bit, while not reducing night vision. Looks great on my neon orange Nexx helmet.

This shield has a great tint but....
I bought this shield when I bought the XR1R helmet... Not realizing that the shield is a "Fastlock" shield and the helmet does not come with this system installed standard. It's an upgrade. Finding the upgrade kit is difficult and I have had to order it from the NEXX site, but as of yet haven't received it. If you don't plan on switching face shields often I would suggest just staying with the standard system that comes with the helmet.
