Yes, the cheekpads are removable on the Nexx XR1R helmet, and the Sena SMH5 is compatible. The SMH5 would mount to the left side of the helmet.2 months, 3 weeks ago

I'm interested in this helmet specifically for the race track. I'm currently riding in a Shoei X-11 which is a great helmet but severely limits my vision in the tuck position. How does the viewable area on the XR1R compare to the X-11?

Answer:
As time goes by and helmet features increase, visibility has seemed to widen/improve as well. That being said, most newer helmets will have a better/improved field of vision when compared to older models. Thus the Nexx XR1R Carbon Speed Helmet should have an improved field of vision. If you like the X-11 then you should definitely check out the Shoei X-12 Helmet, which is the helmet I use on the track. I have never had any visibility issues with this helmet and have been extremely happy with the upgrade from the RF-1100.8 months ago

Although I haven't taken this helmet to the track I would say this helmet's field of vision is ridiculous! It's almost like you don't have a helmet on. In full tuck I've noticed no helmet obscurities looking forward, the only thing that blocks any vision is the breath guard, which is removable.6 months ago
