Best Sport Bike Tail Bag I have seen!
To me this is the best sport bike tail bag around for daily use. It's not a touring bag per say in that the volume is not nearly as large as other bags.

I like this bag because it easily attaches under the rear seat cowl and is very stable there. No need to run straps under the tail or to the passenger foot peg mounts.

Also, to my eye this is the best looking sport bike tail bag because it is very streamlined and has the exact right proportions to sit on the tail section and not look bulky or out of place.

Once attached it can hold pretty much anything you need for a long day ride like extra layers, snacks, water, wallet, phone, etc.

VERY IMPORTANT: This new version is a much improved design over the previous version which I also had. If you look closely at both versions you will see that the old version had the retaining D-Rings attached ABOVE the expansion zipper. Basically the expansion zipper was useless because you could not engage it once the bag was attached. Even if you did take it off and expand the zipper it would not really work because the D-Rings would just pull the expansion area down once you tightened up the straps again.

Great Product
Installs easy. Stays stable and secure on the bike. Looks great. Holds an impressive amount when expanded. Comes with a rain cover that I haven't needed to try out yet, but it's nice to have none the less.

The tail bag is excellent.
I bought this tail bag for my new Triumph T120 Bonneville and I am very satisfied with the size, look and functionality of this bag. The bag looks like it belongs on this bike. It could have been an OEM part at a fraction of the cost..

Super Sporty, Easy Install, Affordable.
This thing is awesome, I'm surprised how much you can actually fit inside it. The zippers are high quality and don't catch or bind on the fabric. The material seems to be very UV resilient as well, I park in the sun every day at work and it shows no signs of fading.

It's incredibly easy to install, and it looks great on your bike.
Easily fits a 6-Pack of beer with room to spare. :)

It fits my needs and the price was right.
I wanted a low profile tail bag that wouldn't look out of place on my bike but could still fit a pair of shoes and a few other small items. Based on the size, price and my experience with other Nelson Rigg products, I placed my order. As usual, the delivery from Revzilla was ultra fast!

The bag is well-constructed and mounting it on the pillion plate behind my seat was effortless. I used two of the four straps in a criss-cross pattern and the bag has not moved even during spirited riding sessions. Expanded, it holds more than I expected and fits my needs well in the standard configuration. I haven't tried the included rain cover so I can't comment on how secure it is at speed.

The only quirk is that the Nelson Rigg name on the rear carry handle is upside-down. Not a big deal...

One of the best bag options out there for sport bikes
At first I was on the fence when I was buying this bag because I was so used to bungee cord type bags which are easy on/off. I wasn't sure I would like the strap system. Seems like too much of a production. Here is what I can tell you. If you want a semi permanent solution then the straps locked directly under the seat is the way to go. Super clean look and the most secure this way. A little more ease of removal would be to use the straps under the seat frame. Still wraps under the seat but at least you do not have to remove the seat to get the bag off. For the easiest on/off go to your local hardware store and get two bungee cords. For the Multistrada I used an 24" in the front and an 18" in the back. Fit perfectly. So as you can see there are tons of mounting options to fit your tastes. As for the bag its very good I went with the smaller one because I already have hard saddlebags. Looks very cool, holds its shape because its semi hard material. Zippers are high quality and I like that it has the mesh area inside for smaller items. If this is your only storage option on the bike it might make sense to go for the larger bag. If you already have some sort of side bags or just want to hold some smaller items then go with the smaller bag. Either way you will love it.

Super versatile. It fits perfectly on either the back of my R3 or Ducati Scrambler. Expansion zipper allows me to swing by the grocery store after work, carry gym clothes, or store rain gear. The zipper upper pouch keeps items separated so you can store things you use frequently, but it's mesh, so you can see what you've got up there. Excellent purchase!

How quick does it release to take with? Can it be released without removing the rear seat since my rear seat is bolted on?
A shopper on Jul 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It quick release. One side has clips that could pull out, but they take effort. And other side if strap is looped on. Suppose you could add a buckle somewhere. I just leave it on all the time. Rain cover is solid.
Do you think it will fit a 2014 vulcan 900?
A C on Apr 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have had this bag on a Multistrada and a GSA. It fit nicely on both bikes. It is a very generic fit so if the dimensions are close to what your passenger seat is, it should fit. Very happy with it. Nice quality bag at a reasonable price.
Is this bag water proof?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't know whether the bag itself is waterproof as I've not yet ridden with it in the rain. However, it comes with a quality separate rain cover that stows compactly inside the bag, which can be fitted quickly and easily if it rains and which is held on snugly. I expect the bag would be water proof with this cover on and splash proof without.

The bag itself is great quality and a perfect size to carry my tools. I would highly recommend it.

Regards,
Russell (bag purchased September 2015)
Is this bag water proof?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It should come with a water proof cover. Contents stayed completely dry when I stayed overnight, in steady rain and rode 2 hours home. This bag has lived on my tail. Love it.
Does it have a lock?
A shopper on Aug 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. It does not come with a lock. Great bag, well made, I use it on most rides.

Will this bag fit on the pillion seat of a BMW k1300 S?
Carlos G on Feb 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: After doing a bit of research and looking at some pictures, it looks like it would fit. My pillion seat is fairly small and it fits it well so you should be fine. The straps are long enough to wrap around the entire tail. You can connect it just under the seat as well.
Will this fit my 2015 Ninja EX650?
Arlene M on Jul 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I just bought one for my 2015 Ninja 1000 and it fits great. Seems like it would fit pretty much any bike that you can strap it under the passenger seat. The straps are adjustable and there are multiple ways to strap it down, although in my opinion it looks the cleanest to take off the passenger seat and wrap the straps around the seat and then reinstall the seat.
This or the Cortech Super 2.0 Tail Bag?
Brandon N on Apr 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I briefly looked at the Cortech online. Chose the Nelson Rigg because I knew their quality ( I had an earlier version) and the dimensions were perfect for my Bonneville single seat with rack. This bag is better than the old one. Better build and design. Since it is a tail bag for me I added a strip of reflective tape (from REI) on the handle and this bag is perfect. I especially like the faux carbon fiber trim. This one is worth every penny, especially at Revzilla pricing.
Hi, can anyone tell me how this looks (and fits) when fitted to the SW Mototech rear rack as suggested for the Yamaha FZ-09?
A S on Aug 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi...This does not directly answer your question but it may give you another point of reference. I attached this bag to my 2013 Multi Strada. I attached it to the rack where my original top case connects to. The looks is very clean and It is just a perfect day-trip solution. I also had the option of attaching it to my passenger seat but when attached to the rack it looks very streamlined. Good luck!
