Visual distortion terrible I mulled over whether to go back with a stock shield that was original on my 04 GW but decided to go with the vstream because my brother had an older ztech on his 1200RT and really liked it...installed the vstream, not anywhere as thick as the one on his bike but the real bad part is the visual distortion through the shield especially when looking at an angle through it. You can't read anything through it and the ground is so distortred it gives a real trouble with depth perception...should have returned it but such a pita to do it I just left it on and put in lowest position so I don't have to look through it much. Surely wish I had gone back with stock shield. August 11, 2015
Fast Shipping - ordered one day and got it the next day. This windshield is a must for the 2014 Goldwing. Had a lot of buffeting with stock windshield. I thought I would try the V-Stream. I am 110% satisfied. Took care of the buffeting for me and the rider. Would definitely recommend the V-Stream for those who like a quiet ride with no buffeting. 5 Star for sure! Easy to install, took about 20 minutes. John May 12, 2015
Great product.. all Wing Riders need this screen. I am 6'7" and ride with my wife 90% of the time. She was getting quite a bit of wind movement to her head with the factory windscreen. This was recommended and it solved the problem for her. Installation was not hard but not super easy either. A++ March 16, 2015
Perfect Upgrade My bride and passenger needed an updated windshield that had less buffeting for her queen pillion. This did the trick. As a benefit to me, there is now some nice cooling air on my arms and sides along with less buffeting and a windshield vent for those intensely warm days. Super fast shipping. A perfect buying experience. July 25, 2014

Brian B: Not much an inch or so, I did not find it stopped the wind buffiting as much as they say, it also chips just as easily. Hope this helps

L O: I know it's a few inches higher than stock and is a great addition to the Gold Wing, it's a lot thicker than stock and looks nice too. Jul 18, 2014

A shopper asked: Good evening,
What's the difference between the Vstream windshield and the (se) special addition? Is the price the same for each product? Is the height of the Vstearm /Se series taller and wider than stock gl1800 windshield?

Please advise

Brian M: The SE was another $100 on the manufacturers website. The only difference I can tell is a special coating for the shield. The VStream is taller than stock, but a bit more narrow at the base. This is nice for cooling on hot days as the wind now hits right around the armpit area. The improved shape and design worked much better on me and my bike. And my passenger said its better too.
P.S. Get the vented shield if you don't already have a vent. Makes a big difference.

Lee C: I purchased the V Stream and the design of the windshield is different. The design of the V Stream is for the air (and rain) to flow off the outside rather than straight ahead so you get less air (and water) in your face. It fits the same holes as the stock windshield but the fit is a little tighter but still adjustable. Oct 6, 2014

A shopper asked: Does this shield still adjust like the stock unit or is it a fixed position shield? Aug 4, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Brian M: Short answer:
Yes it is still adjustable. Although because the this windshield is overall a greater thickness than the stock unit, it has significantly more resistance. Bit after living with the new VStream w/vent for a few weeks now, I find myself not adjusting it at all. The vent (which I've never had) flows copious amounts of air at speed. And, I get more air in the arm/armpit regions now. Which works well on warm days. Haven't ridden it in the rain yet.
A major improvement over my stock non-vented GL1800 windshield. Also an improvement over stock for my passenger.

Lee C: The shield has the same adjustment slots as the stock shield. Just used it on a six day trip and it did a great job of funneling wind and rain away from us. Aug 5, 2014
