Good protection and smooth air flow Tiger Explorer
I would rate this as good as the Madstad and better than the Clearview for the Explorer. I also have the OEM small shield and Batzen Bracket that I like for warmer weather. But for rain and cold this big mother is great. It big and high and in that it flutters when in the low angle position. It did not break on a 1000 mile run down I75 at speeds up to 80 so I guess I will give it 4 stars due to the fluttering at the tips. At high speeds it really does seem to stabilize the bike in crosswinds unlike a totally rounded shield. Looks like it has some serious wind tunnel testing and National Cycle is a big name in shields so I trust them more than Cee Bailey or Clearview. It works for me.

This product was just what I was wanting. All around great!
My dad was having trouble with the wind catching him onhis Triumph with the original windshield. Knowing that I went on the search for something better and I came across this one. I ordered it for him and he loves it. It was easy for him and my husband to install and it was jsut the right height. Perfect for anybody looking to direct a little more wind away from them. Two thumbs up!

Stock windscreen works much better.
Stock windscreen works much better.

I’m very disappointed with the performance. I would rate the wind buffeting on the top of my helmet at highway speeds as extreme, teeth rattling kind of buffeting. I tried it in several different positions including different helmets and nothing would make the buffeting tolerable. It looks like it’s a well made product and perhaps they make models for other bikes that perform well. For the Triumph Explorer though, this thing is just plain terrible. I’m thinking no one at the manufacture actually tested it on the model of bike it’s intended for.
