Great design, great quality
I'm coming from the gigantic Cal-Science windscreen to this.
I do a ton of highway riding, so wind and noise protection is a priority for me. My Cal-Science windscreen was cracking near one of the mounting points and it flopped around significantly in the wind, so I decided it was time to replace it.
The "glass" and mounting hardware both seem to be way better quality and durability than the previous ones.
This V-Stream thing really seems to work! At first I was disappointed to see that the screen was significantly smaller, both in width and height, than my previous one. But, after test riding, I'm pleased to report that the V-Stream provides the same amount of noise reduction and significantly better wind reduction compared to my old one. Given that, the smaller size is a bonus because it looks better, lets me turn my handlebars farther, and is more out of my visual eyeline.

Good windshield, Not a bad price.
The Vstream windshield performs admirably in all but severe crosswind conditions. The bubble created by shield keeps the bulk of the wind from buffeting your helmet and reduces wind noise if air conditions are basically quiet. The only problems I encountered were during periods of severe crosswinds and when battling substantial headwinds the shield had quite a bit of deflection and movement. I don't think it negatively impacted performance but is somewhat distracting and disconcerting. Overall a 4Plus on the windshield. A little more rigidity wouldn't hurt it.

A big shield for highway touring
The helmet buffeting, it's gone! This is a huge windshield. Installation was simple, just remove your old windshield and install the new one into the same well nuts with the included replacement hardware. Only downside is this windshield might almost be too big, so be sure you're ready to commit to a full touring windshield. The stock mirrors on my bike do touch the windshield a bit when steering is at full lock, but there's enough rubber in the mounting hardware that the windshield flexes and moves out of the way when the mirrors touch it. I'll admit that I've had second thoughts about having such a large windshield on my bike, but overall I really like the protection it provides from the wind and bugs when riding on the highway. However, if you want more of an inbetween windscreen, then I'd recommend you look at one of their smaller sizes.

Phillip B: Stock Windshield was not tall enough to prevent wind noise and buffeting at speeds above 50 moh. I found it too hard to hear my music even with sound isolation ear buds. I recently went from an Electra Glide to a V strom as my riding group is getting in to adventure rides - Electra was the most comfy bike in terms of wind/element protection for the rider but lousy off road! . Trying to recapture some of that nice ride and reviews give this product a good rating for wind/noise reduction.Sep 6, 2014
Frank d: Have tried two other screens but still a lot of buffering .After a friend told me to look at the vstrem the design made sense .So hopefully it works because I am sick trying to fix the buffering on my vstrom . Apart from that it's best bike I have every had. Fingers crossed.May 24, 2014
