National Cycle VStream Tall Touring Windscreen Suzuki V-Strom 650 2012-2014
After a few thousand miles with this screen...
I got the tall windscreen. I'm 6'1" 195 lbs. I have the screen mounted on the highest setting and this eliminates wind from hitting any part of my helmet. The buffeting that I experienced with the stock screen is gone. However, there is still buffeting but it's VERY mild. It feels like a back and forth movement of air filling the void between me and the screen but again it's VERY mild. This is something to be expected with any screen and I think it does an excellent job all around. It's definitely changed my entire riding experience on and off the highway to the point where I think I will keep this bike! (Yes... the buffeting from the stock screen was that bad)
The quality of the glass and mounting hardware is really really impressive and the bugs come off easily with just plain water and a rag. No water spots or any discoloration yet and on that note... The rain protection is awesome! MPG's have stayed relatively the same (if not better). So after a few thousand miles with this screen I think I've found the one. If anything happens, I will buy this screen again.

Great design, great quality
I'm coming from the gigantic Cal-Science windscreen to this.
I do a ton of highway riding, so wind and noise protection is a priority for me. My Cal-Science windscreen was cracking near one of the mounting points and it flopped around significantly in the wind, so I decided it was time to replace it.
The "glass" and mounting hardware both seem to be way better quality and durability than the previous ones.
This V-Stream thing really seems to work! At first I was disappointed to see that the screen was significantly smaller, both in width and height, than my previous one. But, after test riding, I'm pleased to report that the V-Stream provides the same amount of noise reduction and significantly better wind reduction compared to my old one. Given that, the smaller size is a bonus because it looks better, lets me turn my handlebars farther, and is more out of my visual eyeline.

Good windshield, Not a bad price.
The Vstream windshield performs admirably in all but severe crosswind conditions. The bubble created by shield keeps the bulk of the wind from buffeting your helmet and reduces wind noise if air conditions are basically quiet. The only problems I encountered were during periods of severe crosswinds and when battling substantial headwinds the shield had quite a bit of deflection and movement. I don't think it negatively impacted performance but is somewhat distracting and disconcerting. Overall a 4Plus on the windshield. A little more rigidity wouldn't hurt it.

A big shield for highway touring
The helmet buffeting, it's gone! This is a huge windshield. Installation was simple, just remove your old windshield and install the new one into the same well nuts with the included replacement hardware. Only downside is this windshield might almost be too big, so be sure you're ready to commit to a full touring windshield. The stock mirrors on my bike do touch the windshield a bit when steering is at full lock, but there's enough rubber in the mounting hardware that the windshield flexes and moves out of the way when the mirrors touch it. I'll admit that I've had second thoughts about having such a large windshield on my bike, but overall I really like the protection it provides from the wind and bugs when riding on the highway. However, if you want more of an inbetween windscreen, then I'd recommend you look at one of their smaller sizes.
