A shopper asked: How much taller is this then the stock windscreen? Nov 12, 2013

Robert D: The VStream screen is high-quality screen. Unfortunately, for a 6-foot rider, it does not create the "calm environment" discussed in the advertisements. On the Honda VFR1200, it also requires you to fabricate a filler piece of trim between the screen and the instrument panel. Without this piece, which should be supplied, the installation looks incomplete. Perhaps this screen works on other machines, but it is an expensive way to experiment. I had to install a Laminar Lip at the top of the VStream in order to stop the tremendous buffeting the stock screen created. The Laminar Lip/VStream installation looks ridiculous and adds additional expense, but it works. Perhaps some day windscreen manufacturers will actually produce a product (lowers) that stops the wind from coming up from around the front forks, hitting the tank, and mixing with the wind coming over the screen - the real cause of buffeting. Oh, the VStream is 2" taller than the stock screen on the VFR1200. Nov 15, 2013

Mike C: I just laid the original screen on top of the VStream. The VStream is 11" taller. It is also 6" wider at the narrowest point and over 8" wider at the widest point.

It is a large. I am 5'10" and have a Corbin seat (2" taller than stock) and the air hits just above the visor at the top of the helmet.

Much quieter and nearly wind free.

Did I say it is large. This is my winter screen. I will purchase the medium size for summe

One surprise. The mounting bracket is brilliant. I tried 3 other screens and this setup is bomber.

HTH.

David W: Not sure exactly with the NC 700, but the one for my Kawi is about 2". Not enough to be too tall, but it makes a big difference in wind buffeting around your head. Nov 14, 2013
