These are my first MX boots, and having had previous (non motorcycle) foot and ankle injuries, I'm glad to have the added protection. So far, these boots have been very good for me. They are not waterproof, but not advertised as such. I took a point off for comfort just because they are so stiff, but again, that's kind of the purpose. Bottom line is, I'll be using MX boots from now on, and these MSR boots are very nice.

Good boot for beginner
Good boot for the beginner that doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a pair of alpine stars. The one feature I don't like is the metal tip on the boot...

John D:I haven't submerged mine but have ridden in the rain and my feet stayed dry and warm. Im sure if you left them submerged, they would leak around the folds eventually. I bet most Mx boots would do this though. But, for regular riding in slop, they would be fine. My only grip is that the buckles do seem a bit flimsy but I've probably ridden 10 times with mine and they have held up so far. The rest of the boot seems to be well constructed for the money.Mar 5, 2014
