So fresh and so clean!
I love the Motul chain clean! Simpler and more convenient than kerosene, and does just as good a job of cleaning the chain. Spray on, wait about 5 minutes, agitate with a brush, and do another quick spray to rinse. Your chain will shine!

Remember to allow the cleaner to dry afterwards though - you want your lube to stick to that nice shiny chain.

It Works! No need to brush
I have used it two times in my Triumph Scrambler chain with 4 months intervals. I combine it with MOTUL chain lube. The 9.8oz can seems to last enough for 3 times chain clean.
It easily removes old oil and dirt and the old MOTUL Lube from previous usage. I have the Grunge brush, but it does not seem to need brushing (i ride on paved roads most of the time and occasional floods when it rains). See attached pictures of the cleaner in action, i have used the grunge brush but have not seen a significant difference (i guess that is for mud or sticky dirt).
The cleaner dissolves the oil and dirt as soon as you apply it (no need to wait 5 minutes as described in the directions),
then i spray the cleaner a second round to rinse the already dissolved oil and dirt.
I wish it had a straw to aim the spray to where it should be, I use a cardboard from a cereal box to prevent spraying in undesired areas.
I have not tested it on rusted portions, so i cannot comment about it.
I strongly recommend this chain cleaner, but it is expensive since for me will last only 3 times and I have two motorcycles. I will try a cheaper option next time and see how it compares to this Motul.

Good Cleanser
This stuff works really well to loosen up grease and grime from your chain but where it shines is after you do some cleaning with the grunge brush.. spray it after that and everything just falls off to reveal shiny, like-new chain.

cleans well
Relatively low flash point solvent (evaporates quickly, I suspect it is flammable) that cleans well. With a grunge brush you can use sparingly. Reportedly does not harm o-rings. I uses cardboard between chain and wheel to keep off the wheel and on ground to catch dirty fluid. I am not a big fan of solvents on painted surfaces even if advertising says it will not harm. Less expense alternatives but have to deal with aftermath and dispose of dirty fluid. This stuff evaporates in 10 minutes. Throw away the dirty cardboard. Use outdoors.

Expensive, but fantastic
Very effective, cleans super well. Did not have to scrub excessively with grunge brush, 2-3 rounds of sprays with the Motul got nearly everything off. Finish with a water rinse and chain is like new.

Fairly expensive per can. I used almost 3/4 of a can on just 1 cleaning (370 miles, local commuting). If chain was dirtier I'm sure the entire can would have been used. Have never used kerosene so cannot comment on effectiveness comparison, but if you're OK with spending $8-$10 per cleaning this is a great solution with minimal effort.

Makes the dirt and grime just slip off, even more so if you use a brush with it. I've been doing my chain at 600 miles and I typically use 1/2 a can to get it looking like new.

This chain cleaner works great. Spray on, wait 5 minutes, use brush, and spray again to get all the loose dirt off. Wait 5 minutes and spray with lube. I use it every 600-1000 miles, works well.
