Cool air and no buffeting
I have run my WeeStrom without a windscreen most of the summer. I like the extra air and lack of buffeting that way, but not the unfinished look. I found out about this shield on one of the enthusiast forums and thought I'd give it a shot.

I run the shield in the lowest stock setting and I can hide my GPS behind it. Wind hits me upper chest and head with no buffeting. I'm 6'2".

Keeps me cool and happy with my helmet and touring jacket on. I'm use to riding sport bikes and wear ear protection...so I'm perfectly happy with the wind noise and slight neck fatigue over a full touring windscreen.

I also purchased the +4 Moose Racing windshield for longer rides / rain / cooler weather. I've fit the +4 to the bike, but haven't run it yet.

I've been considering some sort of mounting bracket for the rear luggage so I can carry both shields with me on trips and swap as needed.

Excellent price, well made.
I liked the size and shape of the stock screen, but it was scratched and cloudy. Although the Moose screen is 2" taller, it is shaped like the stock screen, and works very well. The mounting holes lined up exactly. I didn't rate this product for durabiyt because I have only had it on for a couple of weeks. so far I like it a lot, and it was a lot cheaper than either a stock replacement screen or other aftermarket alternatives.

Moose Racing VStrom +4" Windscreen
I'm 5'10" and this windscreen finally killed the helmet buffeting at highway speed. Hallelujah! Very nice screen, particularly for the low price. Also, doesn't interfere with mirrors at full turn of the handlebars.

Exactly as the prototype
This screen was first done as a prototype which was on my 08' VStrom and which is featured in the product advertisement. I purchased this bike from the Owner whom installed the prototype and I recently dumped the bike in my garage and the screen took the hit. I was very pleased that Moose was making an actual production unit and it matched perfectly to my original prototype. It's a good look and functional on my bike. Revzilla, as always, provided great service in getting me the part ASAP and restored my bike and my pride from dumping it!

This is a great windshield for the money
I bought this windshield because the one that came on the bike when I bought it used was very tall and obstructed my line-of-sight. This windshield is just tall enough to keep the wind off my chest while providing enough airflow to keep me cool. The installation is super easy, and the product looks great on the bike!

Makes me look less like a dork
I know, how can you look less of a dork riding a wee-strom.

Well, this product does that. It was easy to install once I figured everything out. Of course it makes the wind blow on your face, concentrated especially on your forehead, but if you really cared about that, you'd stick with a high windscreen.

Economical way to get more airflow
I now have three windshields for almost all the seasons. I was looking for a smaller shield for the summer time for the Strom and this is the perfect solution. I have a madstadt mount so you can adjust this shield so it makes it the perfect solution for above 60 F weather.

Revzilla was great about getting me the product quickly.

Great WIndscreen
Works as advertised! I'm 6'3" 190lbs, riding a '11 V-Strom 650 w/gel seat (about 1" taller than stock) wearing a Shoei Neotec helmet, and this screen puts more air over my helmet than at it, thus resulting in less noise! I really like it. Only downside I see is that in hot weather, you will be hotter (less wind, remember?). This could be resolved with an adjustable bracket for the windscreen.

for us taller Strom riders, getting out of the wind buffet means either expensive spacing brackets, or a windscreen the size of a billboard. option number 3 is this little beauty: embrace a little breeze, and enjoy your sportier looking Strom!

This was the best looking shield to use on the Mastead brackets on the DL1000. This and the Mastead adjustibility gave me cooling in hot weather and protection from the rain and/or cold with it in the up position. Its quite strong being lexan and 1/4" thickness.

The stock V-strom screen is too turbulent. The Givi D260St is too big. Hoping this +2 over stock is just right.

I wanted a windscreen with a slightly lower profile than the stock one so I replaced it with the Moose Racing and now it looks great and makes the bike appear a lot more sportier.

I currently have a Givi tall windscreen on my dl1000. Will I need to change anything to mount this or will it mount just like the Givi screen I have?
A shopper on Apr 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have an '08 Wee Strom and the Moose windscreen mounted to the stock mounts. I did add some rubber washers but otherwise it bolted right on and haven't had any problems. I actually have less buffeting now. Airflow hits upper chest area.
Does the 2+ windscreen have the flip (vertical curvature) at the top like the OEM or is it vertically straight?
thanks
A shopper on Aug 10, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The +2 over does have a slight curve to vertical. But I do not know what the OEM windshield was like since I never had one. Bought my DL650 used and with an aftermarket screen.
Is there a short style smoked screen for the 2012 DL650? I want one like the one displayed for the 2011
A shopper on Nov 10, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Moose currently does not make the Adventure Windscreen, smoked or clear, for the 2012 Suzuki V-Strom.
What size should I get? I'm 6' tall.
A shopper on Jun 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would suggest the largest size. I am 6'3" and every bit of wind protection on long highway rides is appreciated.
what is the width of the windshield?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The width in a straight line measuring across the back is 15". If you follow the arc around the front, it is 16.25"
