Memphis Shades Gauntlet Fairing For Harley Sportster And Dyna
If you're putting together a club-style bike, a bikini fairing is a necessary ingredient. Memphis Shades rolls out a timeless classic: The Gauntlet. Designed exclusively for the Sporty & Dyan, this fairing is proportional to the narrow forks that give these bike their unique profile. One-piece construction makes for a good-looking, gap-free shield - they tint the upper half of the screen, and black out the inside with a Class A finish, giving a glossy appearance from the exterior that is nearly impervious to color removal. The two areas are separated with a perfectly inscribed 'witness line' - a totally novel approach on an old favorite.
Two-piece appearance, but actually made as a super-strong one-piece fairing
Bold, aerodynamic shape with a hint of outlaw styling designed to streamline today's low-slung cruisers
Provides good torso coverage to help reduce wind fatigue while allowing uncluttered views of your favorite riding spots
Factory-appearing finish looks great as-is, or can be painted for full integration
Custom-fit, model-specific mounting kits feature Memphis Shades' exclusive Trigger-Lock Mounting System - allows you to go on and off with no tools, or, with the addition of a "Plates-Only" Kit, use a Memphis Fats/Slim windshield, Sportshield, or Batwing fairing (Multiple plates kits may be required.)

Looks good and works great for highway riding
Perfect for what I was looking for in a quarter fairing. Great price and only took about 30 minutes to install and get right.
The only downside is that the mounting brackets are expensive for just a couple simple pieces

Looks awesome...but difficult install
I have a Sportster Low/SuperLow XL883L 2013 and this (windshield) looks great on it, but it was difficult.
I ended up having to cut the top part of the headlight housing off so the fairing could fit over the light.
In addition I had to have a friend come over to help get the notches to line up perfect to snap on.
In the end awesome! But I sweated it out for at least 2 hrs...you'll see.

Nice alternative to a small windscreen.
Quality of the fairing and mounting hardware is very good for the price. Took some patience to get the clamps all adjusted so fairing sits straight.
I installed the fairing on a 2012 FXDC. There is a lot of reflection from the headlamp on the inside of the fairing -- to the point I find it hard to use the high beam at night. May need modify the headlamp mount to that it sits farther forward.
Perfect wind protection for what I wanted -- keeps the wind off of my chest, but still get good airflow to the helmet (full-face) and shoulders (summertime ventilation). Buffeting noticeable only as moderately increased wind noise when I'm not using earplugs. Interstate travel is much more comfortable now.

A shopper asked:Will it work with the accessory tachometer (2003 XL883/standard), or will the two gauges be too wide?Nov 1, 2013
Relda Mara B:I do not have this answer, and I am also wordering that. Because I use the tachometer (2008 883R), and I like it, do not want to put it off just to fit a fairing. Plus, looking to the photos it looks like that my turn signal will have to be relocated for the fairing be able to fit. Let's wait for the store answer.Nov 10, 2013
