Best "Bang for the Buck" for a V Strom 1000 slip on Everything in the box & well packed inside (outside was rough but it WAS shipped...) Instalation was a bit of a challange as that I have Happy Trail side mounts for my Teton side boxes.I had to cut / shim the mounting points & spacing of the mufflers and aquiring longer bolts. After Initial install I had leaks at the lower pipe joints & had to pull back down and use some "Ultra" pipe seal to fix it. I had already installed a Dobeck box & had it sorted out & with the Quiet inserts in performance was slightly stronger & sound quality is good without being too loud. Pulled the inserts & picked up a noticeable gain over 6,500 rpm with another "click" richer on the hi speed box adjustment. Substantial (feels like over 20 lbs.) weight savings over stock. 85% of a Staintune system at 1/3rd of the price. I can recommend this system. Definitely great value I compared the Leo Vince slip-ons and the Akrapovic and the Leo wins hands down in terms of value. I do have one minor complaint and that is the brackets used to mount the cans are a bit of a pain in that the black silicone is not attached to the aluminum band. Placing it on the bracket was a bit of unnecessary work which should have been done at the factory. Then having it stay in place while mounting it around the can was an added difficulty that was just not necessary. July 23, 2012
