Another great slip-on from Leo Vince! Awesome sound, awesome quality and awesome bargain you would come to expect from Leo Vince. Love the sound without the DB killers in on my VFR800. With the DB killers in, it's just a little louder than stock. Install was not easy, the instructions may as well said "remove old exhaust and install new exhaust." The only help I got from the instructions was from the parts diagram. But, if you have some mechanical skills and some help, it's not too bad. If you're not skilled bring it to a shop for the install. The stock exhaust is heavy, so the Leo Vince helped quite a bit with the top-heaviness of the VFR, being quite a bit lighter. All in all this is a great product and I am very happy with it. If you have a VFR, get this exhaust! Much more inexpensive than others, and better in my opinion. October 21, 2013
Super Fast Shipping Super fast shipping. Ordered on Tuesday and got it Thursday. Unheard of for an exhaust. I searched other online stores and found one for $10 cheaper and was debating where to get it from. Revzilla price matched for me so it was a no brainer. Like others said, directions were horrible but I figured it out pretty easily. Actually, mine didn't come with any instructions what so ever. The sound is just amazing and the baffles have immediately come out and stayed out. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs a sound boost on their VFR. October 21, 2013
Built Well The instructions suck but if you are mechanically inclined its not a problem. Bike sounds great but not that much of an increase of hoserpower. Maybe 5% June 3, 2013
Love those exhaust! Nice throaty on low RPM going to strident past 8000! Love my new V4 sound! March 19, 2013
The best bang for the buck for your VFR800! Go ahead and price other systems, you'd think their mfg's think their stuff is made of gold. I paid $540 shipped for this product and it drastically out-values the other $800-1000 slipons sold by (Two) Tool-Brothers and other European mfg's. It has a very nice growl without being too loud, though I'll admit I wish it was a bit louder. The V4 engine is meant to be heard, it is so sweet sounding. Especially now that it has this slip-on. The slip-on even came with low decibal sound inserts, which I quickly removed because they make it sound like a muffled moped, or exactly like the stock mufflers. The draw back to this product are the terrible instructions. You might as well just throw the instructions away. Yes they are that bad. I cannot believe Leo Vince USA would sell such a nice product with the instructions or lack thereof. That aspect of the product shouldn't be tolerated. There is no reason for this product to be this nice yet have instructions with no pictures and only a few sentences that try to explain how to put together a 20 piece system! Horrid. Shame on you Leo Vince. And shame on Revzilla for not even caring and allowing them to be sold with those instructions. One other item of note: make sure you lube the connector pieces with WD40 or whatever in order to get them to slip-on and be able to move them around. Having a second hand is very helpful so that person can assist in holding the can and strap in place when you are ready to tighten it down to the correct position. October 29, 2012
Almost perfect Price, appearance, durability, brand strength Perfect However, I wanted titanium, which has been a long time ago lineup ... August 27, 2012
Love the new cans, sounds great. Love the new cans, they sound a bit throaty at the lower rpm range 2-5. Then turn into a screaming monster when the V-tec kicks in. Not 'p*ss off the neighbors' loud but nice... At about 40mph the wind noise over takes the exhaust note. August 4, 2012

A shopper asked: Would I need to install a power commander with this exhaust to make it run smoothly, or will it work on its own? Nov 21, 2013

Bryatt S: It will work on its own. Straight bolt on, no big deal. To maximize power output, you will need a commander but it's not an issue without. Nov 21, 2013

JOHN R: I put the carbon fiber slip-ons on my '04 VFR 800. I'm pretty picky and I found them to be very well made.

They worked OK without any other modification, but didn't seem to affect performance much. (They're much lighter than the stock units, though.) I added a Power Commander III unit with the mapping suggested by that company, and a K & N air filter. The bike accelerates more quickly; it's clearly breathing better.

Anthony A: I have had one on since the start of the year without a power commander and it runs fine. You may benefit from the upgrade but it doesn't need it to run smoothly. Great note when you take the baffles out....I am sure you will be impressed. Nov 22, 2013

A shopper asked: I have a rear fender eliminator kit on my 04 VFR, does the license plate fit between the cans? Sep 28, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: Great bike! I also have the VFR800 - an anniversary edition. There is enough space to mount the license plate horizontally between the cans, however, the trick will be to fabricate a license plate holder without the fender. The plate itself does not have clearance, but there is enough room to run the mounting bracket between. I had one custom fabricated to move the plate high and tight as close to the cans as possible. The other option, if your state allows, is to mount the plate vertically along the underbody of the tail. This option will actually fit in-between the cans. Just be careful with this one as you can potentially have tire clearance issues. Oct 1, 2012
