Great product I installed this on my BMW G650GS Sertao to replace the stock, heavy double cans. Very straight forward and easy installation. Fits great with BMW OEM Vario cases. Makes the bike sound great--like a real thumper, and is not noticeably louder then stock exhaust. This also gave me room to put a tool tube on the right side of the bike where the old exhaust can was. All of that and a considerable weight savings. April 7, 2014
Great sounding can that'll make you forget that old sewing machine sound This was a great buy. I read about it in the forums and decided to pick it on a rainy day. I'm used to beefier sounding exhausts on my other bikes, so when I purchased my G650Gs Sertao, this was one of the first things I looked to replace. The stock sounded more like a tattoo gun than a supposed dual sporty. The space savings from removing the stock setup is enough to pick this up. I'll be fitting two tool tubes to the back rack in it's place. April 3, 2014
I like this slip-on I like this slip on due it it's great sound and awesome price. I love the weight loss this slip-on offered me from the stock goofy looking G650GS silencer. One of those stock silencer is fake and not even used. I was worried that the bike would look goofy without dual pipes, but the bike still looks great and the loss of one pipe isn't noticeable. This pipe has a great sound. If you take the baffle out, it still sounds good, and is unbelievably loud, if that's your cup of tea. I typically run my bikes without a baffle, so I removed the baffle on this one prior to installation. When I started the bike up the first time with this new pipe (no baffle), it scared me really bad and I hit the kill switch to turn it off. I now run it with the baffle. But up to you! Again, I loved the price. Installation of the pipe was really easy. Removal of the stock silencers was a hassle, but that shouldn't deter you from buying this. The pipe comes with the Leo Vince sticker already on the pipe. If you don't want that it can be pulled off (probably easier to remove prior to installation.) I recommend this slip-on to all. Good mod for the $$$ I originally made this purchase for a 2012 Sertao as a way to free up the extra space taken by the somewhat useless dual exhaust (auxiliary tank, to be specific). Now that the old system is gone, I'm even more impressed with the smoothness of low range power. The bike also no longer sounds like a sewing machine and lost some decent weight, so bonus! And a bit of a shameless plug, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw $319 for the initial price and the same number when I checked out, no tax and no shipping for a pipe that showed up two days later. The only side note is to be careful with the torque specs, as it seemed pretty easy to get close or over the recommended specs without much effort. October 28, 2013
Excellent upgrade for the 21012 BMW 650 Sertao I installed the stainless version of this slip on. The printed instructions that came with it are not very good but the only tricky part is determining where the bracket mounts to the frame towards the back of the muffler. The fit and finish are excellent and it installed on the bike as if it were from the BMW factory. A spring puller tool was provided and made attaching the springs easy. The entire install process took about 15 minutes. The Leo Vince slip on is 8lbs lighter than stock according to my bathroom scale. I created a tool/storage container from 3" pvc and installed it where the short/right can was mounted. This slip on is a bit louder than stock but very acceptable and not too loud. The pipe allows the bike to rev further between gears, particularly in the upper rpm range. I highly recommend this upgrade and the Revzilla service, shipping and price are second to none. BUY IT! I put this muffler/mid pipe on a new '12 G650GS, so I have no way to gauge performance increase. I doubt there was much gain, more because of the bike, not the muffler. Installation was physically simple. Directions were worthless. Either way, the system appears to be very well made. Fit and finish are awesome. Makes the GS sound like a older XT650, sound proper, like a big enduro thumper! Exhaust is definitely louder that stock, but not too loud. Cruising at highway speed, you can barely hear it, until you crack the throttle. I am very happy with this purchase. May 9, 2013
Attitude Adjustement Installed it on my Sertao recently. It took maybe 20 minutes to fit the new pipe on and bolt it down (an hour to get the old one off). It definitely gives the bike more "presence" with its deep, throaty bark. At highway speeds, it is VERY loud, requiring ear plugs if you plan on spending any more than a few minutes above 50mph. The finish on the pipe, carbon fiber, is first rate. I'm a fan of CF as it doesn't heat up like aluminum pipes. I can't imagine how loud this thing would be without the decibel killer. April 29, 2013
Glad I pulled the trigger on it. Installed on my 2011 G650GS. Excellent value and fit, signficant weight reduction over stock, looks and sounds great, but not too loud. Fits with Givi side saddlebag racks. Was easy to install and fits tight against the bike. Muffler performance seems more related to weight reduction. Engine seems to run fine with it installed with no noticeable change in driveability. October 1, 2012

Kris D: It definitely fits.
I had to really persuade the mid-pipe on. Place a 2x4" on it and hit the wood with a hammer. Make sure you have it lined up properly first!
I also had to cut the spacer that mounts the carbon hanger strap with a hacksaw in order to get the molded strap to align correctly with the shape of the exhaust canister. Just place the strap on the pipe and hold the spacer over it and mark the spot that allows it to be aligned with a sharpie and the cut the spacer, file it smooth and place the longer piece inboard of the strap and the shorter piece against the washer and bolt it in place. Make sure you use blue loc-tite on all of the threads.
Don't worry, It's easy. Maybe yours won't need that mod, but mine did. The strap is formed to the exact profile of the canister so if I hadn't made the cut it would have looked bad.

Brian R: Fitted to BMW G650GS 2012 build, easy ti fit, sounds great, bike power up by about 5-10% - also fitted hi-flow K/N air filter. Once I converted from the twin exhaust to the single I fitted a canister on the other side using some fittings from a drain pipe (a round band (new)) to secure the lockable canister, this allows either an extra 1.5 lts of fuel with a primus fuel bottle or a complete jet boil gas stove for camping Sep 16, 2013

Martin P: Hi Brian, I got the same bike and wanted to know if you thought the air filter was worth it. I am ordering these pipes for sure soon. Unfortunately I have to have the dealer install it since I am mechanically challenged. Ringing me up for 250 for the install which to me is not bad. Also did you have to add anything to the other side? I was planning on leaving it empty. LMK and thanks Sep 17, 2013

Robert B: the Leo Vince slip on should fit the Sertao just fine since the stock exhaust is common to both bikes. The sound with the baffle inserted is great and very distinctive. I hated the look (phony silencer on one side) and the sound of stock G650GS can and the Leo Vince is everything I was hoping for. Also it is a snap to remove the stock unit and do the installation Sep 15, 2013
