Sounds great ... There is a dramatic improvement in sound over the stock exhaust even with the db killer. After my 1st ride I'm sure there is a performance improvement, but there's really no way to track that just riding. The installation was a breeze. It looks great, sheds weight, sounds awesome, and doesn't cost much. Just get one. August 3, 2015
nice can Got this to replace another manufacturer's slip on. It sounds great. A little on the loud side, but it has a throaty sound without that high-pitched cracking noise. It sounds especially sweet between gears like a beast taking a breath, and the rumble during engine braking is pretty remarkable. Looks great. Easy to install. Perfect fit. July 21, 2015
great mod for this bike This exhaust transforms the beemer g650gs from a sewing maching into a thumper. Quite a bit lighter than stock and looks great. It really wakes this bike up with quicker rev and a noticable increase in power. Good quality for the price. Excellent upgrade! May 27, 2015
Best Value for G650GS I spent a lot of time researching other manufacturers, like Arrow, charging upwards of $700 (terrible website btw). not much available like there is for the 1200GS or 800GS models. This is first reasonably priced model I've found & readily available. Don't expect much gains in HP - maybe a couple at best. The biggest appreciable gain is in weight loss & sound gain from the Leo Vince. Definitely a nice upgrade if you're looking to customize your 650GS without breaking the bank. May 25, 2015
Great product I installed this on my BMW G650GS Sertao to replace the stock, heavy double cans. Very straight forward and easy installation. Fits great with BMW OEM Vario cases. Makes the bike sound great--like a real thumper, and is not noticeably louder then stock exhaust. This also gave me room to put a tool tube on the right side of the bike where the old exhaust can was. All of that and a considerable weight savings. April 7, 2014
Great sounding can that'll make you forget that old sewing machine sound This was a great buy. I read about it in the forums and decided to pick it on a rainy day. I'm used to beefier sounding exhausts on my other bikes, so when I purchased my G650Gs Sertao, this was one of the first things I looked to replace. The stock sounded more like a tattoo gun than a supposed dual sporty. The space savings from removing the stock setup is enough to pick this up. I'll be fitting two tool tubes to the back rack in it's place. April 3, 2014
I like this slip-on I like this slip on due it it's great sound and awesome price. I love the weight loss this slip-on offered me from the stock goofy looking G650GS silencer. One of those stock silencer is fake and not even used. I was worried that the bike would look goofy without dual pipes, but the bike still looks great and the loss of one pipe isn't noticeable. This pipe has a great sound. If you take the baffle out, it still sounds good, and is unbelievably loud, if that's your cup of tea. I typically run my bikes without a baffle, so I removed the baffle on this one prior to installation. When I started the bike up the first time with this new pipe (no baffle), it scared me really bad and I hit the kill switch to turn it off. I now run it with the baffle. But up to you! Again, I loved the price. Installation of the pipe was really easy. Removal of the stock silencers was a hassle, but that shouldn't deter you from buying this. The pipe comes with the Leo Vince sticker already on the pipe. If you don't want that it can be pulled off (probably easier to remove prior to installation.) I recommend this slip-on to all. Good mod for the $$$ I originally made this purchase for a 2012 Sertao as a way to free up the extra space taken by the somewhat useless dual exhaust (auxiliary tank, to be specific). Now that the old system is gone, I'm even more impressed with the smoothness of low range power. The bike also no longer sounds like a sewing machine and lost some decent weight, so bonus! And a bit of a shameless plug, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw $319 for the initial price and the same number when I checked out, no tax and no shipping for a pipe that showed up two days later. The only side note is to be careful with the torque specs, as it seemed pretty easy to get close or over the recommended specs without much effort. October 28, 2013

Patrick C asked: What about a 2013 Sertao? Sep 15, 2013

Kris D: It definitely fits.
I had to really persuade the mid-pipe on. Place a 2x4" on it and hit the wood with a hammer. Make sure you have it lined up properly first!
I also had to cut the spacer that mounts the carbon hanger strap with a hacksaw in order to get the molded strap to align correctly with the shape of the exhaust canister. Just place the strap on the pipe and hold the spacer over it and mark the spot that allows it to be aligned with a sharpie and the cut the spacer, file it smooth and place the longer piece inboard of the strap and the shorter piece against the washer and bolt it in place. Make sure you use blue loc-tite on all of the threads.
Don't worry, It's easy. Maybe yours won't need that mod, but mine did. The strap is formed to the exact profile of the canister so if I hadn't made the cut it would have looked bad.

Brian R: Fitted to BMW G650GS 2012 build, easy ti fit, sounds great, bike power up by about 5-10% - also fitted hi-flow K/N air filter. Once I converted from the twin exhaust to the single I fitted a canister on the other side using some fittings from a drain pipe (a round band (new)) to secure the lockable canister, this allows either an extra 1.5 lts of fuel with a primus fuel bottle or a complete jet boil gas stove for camping Sep 16, 2013

MARTIN P: Hi Brian, I got the same bike and wanted to know if you thought the air filter was worth it. I am ordering these pipes for sure soon. Unfortunately I have to have the dealer install it since I am mechanically challenged. Ringing me up for 250 for the install which to me is not bad. Also did you have to add anything to the other side? I was planning on leaving it empty. LMK and thanks Sep 17, 2013

Robert B: the Leo Vince slip on should fit the Sertao just fine since the stock exhaust is common to both bikes. The sound with the baffle inserted is great and very distinctive. I hated the look (phony silencer on one side) and the sound of stock G650GS can and the Leo Vince is everything I was hoping for. Also it is a snap to remove the stock unit and do the installation Sep 15, 2013

Rene A asked: do i need to make an arregement to the map computer for a bmw 650 sertao 2014? May 3, 2015

Joseph V: You don't have to. I do recommend a K&N type high flow air filter. I have one on my bike. I run the stock fuel injection tune also. Tuning it would make it run better. I am not to sure how you would go about tuning the ECU. They sell piggy back tunes that splice into the ECU wires. Not to sure about doing that. There has to be a way to reflash the existing ECU. chris o: I didn't have to change the mapping on the 2013 model. Just bolt it on and go. The hardest part of the install is getting the stock exhaust off. There is a pretty big weight savings as well. Leo Vince exhaust sounds great and wakes this bike up. I thought this was the best purchase for this bike. May 3, 2015

Dan W: I have about 500 miles since putting the Leo Vince on my 2014 Sertao. Did not have have to remap the computer. It was plug and play.
If it does start popping real loud you can have the dealer reset the adaptation values.
