BUY IT! I put this muffler/mid pipe on a new '12 G650GS, so I have no way to gauge performance increase. I doubt there was much gain, more because of the bike, not the muffler. Installation was physically simple. Directions were worthless. Either way, the system appears to be very well made. Fit and finish are awesome. Makes the GS sound like a older XT650, sound proper, like a big enduro thumper! Exhaust is definitely louder that stock, but not too loud. Cruising at highway speed, you can barely hear it, until you crack the throttle. I am very happy with this purchase. May 9, 2013

Attitude Adjustement Installed it on my Sertao recently. It took maybe 20 minutes to fit the new pipe on and bolt it down (an hour to get the old one off). It definitely gives the bike more "presence" with its deep, throaty bark. At highway speeds, it is VERY loud, requiring ear plugs if you plan on spending any more than a few minutes above 50mph. The finish on the pipe, carbon fiber, is first rate. I'm a fan of CF as it doesn't heat up like aluminum pipes. I can't imagine how loud this thing would be without the decibel killer. Glad I pulled the trigger on it. Installed on my 2011 G650GS. Excellent value and fit, signficant weight reduction over stock, looks and sounds great, but not too loud. Fits with Givi side saddlebag racks. Was easy to install and fits tight against the bike. Muffler performance seems more related to weight reduction. Engine seems to run fine with it installed with no noticeable change in driveability. October 1, 2012
