LaZer Monaco Lumino Transitions Face Shield
Wish more manufacturers would offer this
Coming from a tropical city on the equator, I get a lot of harsh sun on my daily commutes. The transitions lens works imperceptibly, which is it's beauty. I only notice it's absence when I'm using another helmet and find myself squinting. I wish more manufacturers would offer this option.

One of the Best You'll Find
I purchased my Lazer Monaco helmet a couple years ago when they first came out. I thought it was a good deal then; it is even more so if you can find one of the remaining helmets at the huge discount Revzilla is offering. Ventilation is superb. It is quiet. They put a lot of effort into making a quality helmet.
The visor is just one example. It eliminates the need for sunglasses in almost all circumstances. The transition from being clear in an underground garage to being full dark when riding outside is extremely quick. I don't have any scratches on my current visor in over 2 years of daily use. I'm considering buying a spare visor, because the helmet is a keeper and the visor is such a big portion of why the helmet is so good.

This is my favorite helmet ever
This helmet is lightweight, comfortable, and is probably the best ventilated helmet I've owned. If I had a complaint it would be a lack of instructions for using it's features.

This faceshield is like magic...I love it.
This face shield is amazing...gets very dark and lightens up fast when day time.

Excellent option instead of carrying two
I've had the Lazer Monaco helmet for about a year now, and it came with a transition visor. It's really been nice to not have to worry about carrying two visors or sunglasses, I just let the visor do the dimming. I put a scratch in mine, so I ordered this replacement. I expect it to just as useful. I would like the visor to get a little darker than it does, but I don't find I'm squinting or uncomfortable with the level it does reach.

Outstanding face shield
I bought a Lazer Monaco helmet prior to a 10 day motorcycle vacation in Ireland. I wanted a flip-up helmet so that I could quickly take pictures without having to remove my helmet, as well as the convenience of being able to take a drink, etc. I specifically chose the Monaco because of the face shield. I really don't like wearing sun glasses inside my helmet, and I knew a dark tinted shield wouldn't always be suitable. The Lumino shield baited me into buying the Monaco...
...and then hooked me. Firstly, the optical quality is nothing shy of outstanding. Unlike a previous reviewer, I've had no issues at all with the transition from clear to dark. It gets as dark as the dark smoke shield I have on my Shoei helmet, and the darkness of the tint always seems appropriate to the light conditions. In fact, this visor is so good it has literally kept me wearing the Monaco over other helmets I own. Nothing against the Monaco, but my Shoei Qwest is more comfortable and far quieter, yet I keep wearing the Monaco because of the outstanding visor. Finally, Revzilla now has a Transitions visor from Shoei available for preorder and I've ordered one based on my experience (over a year now) with the Lumino visor on my Monaco. Personally, I don't find the Monaco visors difficult to change, but I love the fact that I don't need to change them! One visor has been all I've needed. Outstanding product, and one I highly recommend.

LD rider perspective
I have used the Lumino faceshield for over a year on my Monaco full carbon helmet. I am not satisfied with the darkening effect of the lens. Even during bright daylight it does not darken well enough. And lower sun levels towards sunset and sunrise do not even make it dark enough and create glinting or a need to wear sun glasses. I will go back to the built in sun visor other helmets provide.

works very well - but a little pricey. contrary to comments I've read elsewhere, the shield is very easy to take on/off using just a coin.
