Great reflective Monaco helmet visor
This reflective helmet visor for the Monaco helmet is an excellent product. Easy installation and great protection from the sun. Very well constructed.

Rony B:I own the silver mirror shield and it works great (living in Florida). Besides the darkness you may consider that the mirror finish reduces heat. The darker tint has to dissipate heat which causes the helmet inside to heat up as well.) Like any finished shield you need to be careful for scratches. In my case I am not as exposed behind the windshield on my GSA. Either dark tinted/any mirror shield is not recommended for night riding. I usually switch the tinted/silver mirror to the clear lens at night or rainy days with pinlock installed. Others wear clear glasses and leave the shield up (disadvantage of higher noise and if it rains less protection). I would estimate the dark tint and the silver mirror to be about the same regarding how much light they allow through. Unfortunately no detail specs from manufacturers available. While not definitively answering your question re darkest tint - I am hoping to provide some other criteria as well. Ride hard, ride safe, have fun!Jul 9, 2015
