LaZer Kestrel Deep Helmet
I love the look of this helmet and the air flow and noise level is decent. I love the fact that I got a free shield with the purchase of this helmet. The helmet is of decent weight and the visibility is good. I ordered a MS as my head size was the same as the guy it was being demo on and it's tight, so you might want to go a little larger.

I have owned a number of helmets from Shoei, AGV, Shark, HJC, Icon, ect.. This is my first Lazer helmet. I am impressed. The price point places it on the lower end of what I would consider a decent helmet, but the value of this helmet blows me away. It fits nice; I ordered a ML and wear a M in most everything. It is comfortable and quiet, I was most impressed with how comfortable the helmet is. The included UV sensitive face shield was a nice addition and it works well. The design is nice, I like the pearl white accents. It does have an interest "point" in the chin area. This only places a factors when placing the helmet down. I have all my helmets on display and most of the time they sit flush on my shelving. This once pivots back and forth on the point of the chin. Overall I am impressed with Lazer and will look to them again for an additional helmet.

Good bang for your buck...
I find the weight of this helmet and the auto-tinting anti-fog visor to be the best selling points. What one is getting are top of the line features for an above average price.

Great functionality for the value.
First thing is that the helmet runs a tad small, i had to go from a MS to a ML which are 2 separate shell sizes. I wear a L in Scorpion btw. When i got my helmet i noticed that it was a rounder profile then my EXO and was very differently fitting. The helmet fits on your head very securely but due to the padding there are some uncomfortable spots, it is not earphone friendly due to no ear wells. How ever it has nice ventilation and a detachable chin flap for those cold days. The lumio transitions visor exceeds expectations and gets dark enough to block out any annoying brightness's. Over all i would get one size larger if you were ordering this helmet. Its a great price for a sub 250$ helmet and i prefer it over my EXO any day.

Fit is great, I have a MS and it fits like a glove without any pressure points. The shield is definitely the best thing about this helmet and it is amazing. I threw the pinlock lens in the first time I used the helmet, and I havent touched it. You can day to night in all conditions without ever touching the shield. Also the baseplate/shield integration is great, as demonstrated in the video. This was a huge upgrade for me over my previous helmet which got jammed in the up or down position all the time. My only complaints are minor: there are only 2 shell sizes, so the shell may be a bit bigger than other helmets depending on the size. Also the strap system is a little bulky, but I got used to it pretty quickly.
Overall, I got a great high-quality helmet with amazing features for a steal.

Was hoping for a better fit
I bought this helmet because I wanted a light weight hi-vis helmet. I watched the vids, researched on the manufacture site and decided to purchase. I ordered a 2XL with the theory if it was a little big I could always order the XL liner. Well my logic was almost correct. The cheek pads fit well but the 2XL liner was a little too big so I went and ordered the XL liner. Could be my head shape but I didn't notice a significant size difference in the two liners. I measured and the circumference was the same. The only noticeable difference was the padding on the back of the liner, but still wasn't enough to make a difference for me. I returned the XL liner and decided to add a skull cap between the EPS and the liner. Makes the helmet a little better.
I did call CS and was told the XL and Large liners had a different design, which was disappointing because of Lazer's claimed Morpho System Plus. So be warned go with your actual measurement and don't wear it on the bike if you think you might need to return it. Also the cheek pads extend and cover my ears. After a day long ride I found this to be irritation. I have since cut the foam from that part of the cheek pad
The best part of this helmet is the shield. Pinlock AND free photochromic shield upgrade that was offered when I made my purchase. Air flow is also very good and the helmet is one of the quietest I have ridden in. Woked well over the summer in Hotlanta.
For comparison sake my Scorpion Exo 1000 and Exo 400 in 2XL and my Bell Vortex in XL offer me a better/snugger/more secure fit.
For the money I would probably but another Bell.

Great deal on an excellent helmet.
Compared to my previous helmet, a cheaper three-quarter unit:
- Much reduced wind noise around my head. I now experience a remarkably quiet ride, especially when I add ear plugs.
- Transitions face shield works great, even on a partly cloudy day, rapidly darkening and clearing as the sunshine comes and goes. Very comfortable riding east to work around sunrise and west back home.
- With the Pinlock, I ride to work on a chilly morning without any shield fogging.
- Snug fit at XL on my 60.5 cm head, but not uncomfortable. I expect it will wear in to a better situation.
I was worried about riding upright in this helmet but the Q&A feature on the site provided valuable feedback and dispelled my fears. However, ventilation was marginal until I figured out which settings generated open vents. A crack-open setting for the face shield would be a useful addition for urban riding.
