Best carbon fiber helmet for the price. Overall, I am happy with this helmet. I have only had this helmet for a month, ride to work about 3 days a week. Pros: It is the lightest helmet I could find in this class. The fit is good, slightly snug at start and gets comfortable soon. I love the carbon fiber look and the helmets subtlety. The available Transitions shield with Pin-lock is a major factor for my choice. The visor will fog without the Pin-lock insert, so use it and it'll never fog. The Transitions shield gets medium dark, but not really dark enough if you're used to dark tint. Cons: Not as many air ports as higher end helmets. It does not reduce a lot of noise. It also has a loud wind noise at speed depending on fit, vents, and if you use the included chin piece. Wear ear plugs or earphones (if legal or safe for your area). I think I made a good choice, but I wonder if I should have waited a few months for the Shoei NXR (ECE 22.05 RF-1200) at a much higher price point. Revzilla service is great, got the helmet to me at my duty station in Japan in a couple of weeks. No hassles, no worries. February 26, 2014
Light weight, fits true to size, good product for a reasonable price. This helmet is very light. After a 3 hour ride the other day it was like I wasn't even wearing a helmet. One of the main selling points for me. The style doesn't hurt either. I love the carbon fiber look and so do other people it would seem. Ive recieved at least a few compliments already on it. Other riders have questioned what kind of helmet it was and when I tell them its a LaZer helmet they tend to look a little puzzled. Most the guys around here don't know the LaZer brand I guess. After checking mine out and me telling them about it they leave with a good impression. The helmet fit just as advertised. I measured my head, ordered, and put it on. It is a little tight going on but once its on i feel like I'm in my own little environment. It hasn't been hot enough to really test how well the air flows through this thing but so far it seems to flow air just fine. I can feel cool air channeling across my head. and at speed the chin vents keep me from suffocating. The pinlock included seemed to work well when i first got the helmet, but I ordered the Widerace Lumino lens to replace the stock one. IT seems to work for the most part but the lens will start to fog a little if im not moving for too long. Im not sure if its a failure to seal or if its just a fault of the pinlock system after too much exposure to temperature differences from the inside and outside environments. I do really like the auto tinting though it works very well. (kind of disappointed with the anti-fog at the moment, i figured it wouldn't fog at all. maybe i got a bad one, or maybe that's just how it works. Again speaking of the WideRace not the stock visor.) The helmet seems quite comfortable and the materials feel soft to the touch and pretty plush. Everything being removable and washable is an extra plus. I even installed the Sena SMH10R blutooth unit in the helmet. I was afraid it would cause too much pressure as there are no cutouts for the speakers. But with careful placement and wrangling of wires i was able to install it just fine with no discomfort to my ears. The helmet feels slightly more snug, but after that 3 hour ride like i said before its like its not there almost. It sort of just becomes part of your head. You get great peripheral vision with this thing. even better with the Widerace visor due to the pinlock not distorting vision like on the regular visor. All in all this is my first real quality helmet. There may be some things i didnt catch because I have never had a nice helmet before to compare it to, but having said that I do feel like it was money well spent and would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a light weight, stylish helmet, with available transition visor and pinlock system. its carbon fiber very light!! love the fit ML. very comfortable. will recommend to any one willing to pay the price. October 28, 2013
Good Helmet only if your head isnt tiny This helmet looks great and is super light. As for the noise cancellation section I cant answer truthfully since I didnt get to use it. Why? Because my head is too small. This helmet fits my head perfectly snug but the design is rather large, so on my small frame I look like I have a watermelon on my head. it didnt mold with my frame but made me look very silly, like a child wearing their father's shoe, but it's a helmet instead. However, if the look had fit I know I would have loved this helmet. September 26, 2013
Great Helemt, and for the money... SWEET DEAL!!! Really happy with the helmet. Was using an RF1000 for several years, and it was ok/good. But the fit of this is so much better. I got in on the deal with the free auto tinting shield... So happy! Defiantly worth the money. I can finally thoroughly clean my liner. Years of FL and AZ heat... :-( I've been recommending not only the helmet but Revzilla as well to fellow riders. Really glad I found this site and this helmet. Now I think it time to upgrade the bike to match the helmet. ;-P Happy Happy Happy August 27, 2013
Great Helmet! So i was researching many helmets different price ranges and shapes found this one and instantly loved it. This helmet is extremely comfortable and so light weight you forget you're wearing it. The vision is great you get great peripheral and plenty even in a full tuck. I ride an 08 R6 so i needed something that wouldn't make my neck tired on the long runs. I would recommend this product for anyone. August 12, 2013
my favorite helmet This helmet is by far better than i expected.Way better than my HJC and my old Shoei. True to size and Super light and quite;also you cant beat having the transition face shield included. I highly recommend this helmet. Plus Revzilla delivery was super fast. August 12, 2013
My research payed off! I bought this helmet after extensively researching the features that I was wanting out of a helmet. This helmet was a clear winner. I would like to offer the following review after using this helmet. Style: This helmet looks great! Even my opinionated fellow riders say they like its look. No stickers for this lid! Weight: This helmet is very light. Wearing it all day was no problem on my neck. It felt no different than wearing a hat all day. Comfort: I wear glasses, and this was an issue with my last helmet. Not only was it hard to work my glasses into my old helmet, it also created a pressure point along the side of my head. Not so with this helmet, my glasses slide in minimum effort. And due to the layout of the cheek pads, no pressure point and discomfort behind my ears from my glasses rubbing against them. This is a big plus in my book. Airflow: The first morning I used the helmet I had the vents open on the top. It was in the low 50s.( I also did not have anti-fog shield pinned in, more on that below). Halfway to work it felt like I had two ice cubes in my helmet close to where the two rear vents were. This sensation went away whenever I was stopped. During the day when the temp was around 80, the helmet was very comfortable. It never felt hot or stuffy except for when I was stopped. It was a must for me to open my shield. I would have to say the airflow is great based on those experiences. Anti-fog: That first morning, as I mentioned earlier, was in the low 50s. Not having my anti-fog installed made it impossible to ride with shield down. The next morning I slipped it in and rode to work without it fogging up once. That insert really works! Misc: When you close the shield on this helmet it makes a nice thud sound, like it is really sealed well. I feel I made an excellent choice in my helmet purchase. April 13, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Robert S: Good reviews and great personal service from Brandon W when he replied to my help email. The price, carbon fiber look and weight was a large factor. Free shipping to Military APO addresses is a bonus. Feb 7, 2014
Bryan H: Chose this because of the carbon fiber and how light it is because that. It has removable and washable liners and neck rolls. The sizing was pretty true to my measurement. Despite not having cutouts for a blue tooth unit I was able to install the Sena SMH10R with little to no issue. Just takes careful placement of the ear pieces, and once installed works well with no discomfort. Lastly I ordered the WideRace Lumino Visor, which was one of the main selling points for me to get a Lazer helmet. Sep 16, 2013

A shopper asked: does the laser kestrel carbon light have ear pockets for speakers? Sep 30, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Arthur F: Unfortunately no... This was the only issue I have with it. The moduler version does, kinda, it come pre-wired for the bluetooth option which looks nice. But then you need to buy the moduler helmet, and there bluetooth. I haven't tried fitting speakers yet, but once I do I'll update my review. Other than that, I'm really happy with the helmet. Daniel B: No. However I have used Motorola style hook over the ear type speaker buds successfully with the helmet in order to follow two way radio communication during an event. Will be going down this path for my own music listening and mobile phone use. It is a great lightweight helmet, a favorite. Oct 3, 2013

pete r: Yes..but they are small pockets. I use the smh10 and the speakers barely fit..if its not placed properly you will feel along with sound quality go down. Sep 30, 2013

jason p: unless my helmet is completely different than everyone else here, yes it does indeed have pockets for speakers. They are just not the typical cheap round looking cut hole the majority of people are looking for. You can easily fit speakers right where the chin strap is coming out. Oct 30, 2013
