Solid look, thick leather, funky buckle (big is too too big)
Unless you plan to use the bottle on a regular basis, go for the no-bottle model. I took the bottle off and doing so leaves six snaps and four strap holes visible at the back end. Looks tacky. Oh, and when installing, position the straps so the buckles are on the inside of the bag. Makes it easy to tighten. Check U-tube for instructional vid. Big buckle is a little much for me, but leather is thick...and stiff. Room for phone, paperwork, a couple burgers, iPad mini, and swiss army knife.

Excellent Quality. Fair Installation
The quality of the bag & the fasteners are outstanding. It did take a little longer to install than anticipated, but that could be due to me being probably too meticulous on how it sat on my bike.

Will this fit all sportster? I own a 48
A shopper on Jul 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have a 2011 48 and it fits mine. There is only an interference with my passenger pegs, but they still fit together. It just makes the left peg awkward for long rides.
I have a passenger footpeg installed on my iron 883(2015) can I use this bag?
Dannyrunner on Apr 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: So I just installed the passenger pegs on my bike last night and put the bag back on this morning. I have a 2011 forty-eight (should be the same). The truth is that it will go on, but the left passenger peg pretty much has to stay down and your passenger will not have full use of the peg. I don't go two up very often or very far, so I think it will be ok for me. The other option will be taking the bag off when the lady wants to ride, but that is a bit more intrusive.
Can you get this to mount on either side of the bike?
Scott H on Feb 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Scott, I installed mine on the left the way I saw it on most bikes. I am sure anything is possible but I don't see how it would go on the right side because the shock angle on the bag would be away from the shock (ie backwards). The bag will probably touch your exhaust pipes too. I hope this helps.
Will this fit 2014 sportster 72?
