Kuryakyn Mechanical Throttle Bar End Cruise Assist

This may be the simplest, cleanest and most effective throttle position holder on the market. It attaches to the end of the handlebar like a bar-end weight. You just open the throttle to the desired position, then roll the throttle back and a spring-loaded tensioner keeps the throttle in place. Then you simply roll the throttle forward to disengage. The matching clutch side Bar End Weight is also available to complete the look.

Features:

  • Chrome finish
  • Sold each

Note: Installation may require cutting or drilling a 5/8" hole in the end of grips.

FITS LIKE A GLOVE!
Thought I was going to have problems installing at first. When I pulled the end cap off my Iso-grip, there was a end cap plug inside the handlebar on my VTX 1300R. Tried seperating the switch assembly and found the cables to the throttle kept me from pulling grip off to access the plug. Tried using spring hooking tool with no luck. Gave in to having to drill the hole and when center-punching the plug it moved into the bar, so I pushed it back far enough for the cruise assist to set properly. Then adjusting the assist was a piece of cake. Works like a champ. Ride ON!

I also have the Throttle Boss on the end of the grips. Will this lock work with it?

Thanks
A shopper on Dec 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't think it is intended to, but I reinstalled the throttle boss using the shorter screws that came with the original end cap for the iso-grip. Tighten screw until the head in wedged into the Boss's mounting slots, then you can adjust the assist properly against the boss's flat surfaces. Worked for me. Good luck.
Will this fit a 2007 Honda Shadow 750? - Thanks in advance.
A shopper on May 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If the handlebar is one inch in diameter and you can slide the stem in, it should fit. Go to the order screen for it and look at the install instructions. Slide it in and tighten locking screw to lock it in. Holds throttle where you want it with a twist back towards you. You can close with a little pressure back or twist the assist to allow natural throttle return. Good luck.
