The patented Flare motorcycle windshield was developed at Klock Werks out of a need for greater front-end stability in order to safely race at high speeds on the Bonneville Salt Flats. The Flare is the original motorcycle windshield of its kind, and has surprised riders everywhere with its great looks and performance. In fact, its superior performance has made Klock Werks a leader in the air-management field. The innovative, patented design features "hips" on the outer edges that route wind away from the rider while creating additional downforce on the front end of the motorcycle. This results in a significant improvement in wind deflection and front end stability at highway speeds as opposed to a stock type windshield. The "flip" at the top of the Flare is designed to reduce buffeting by kicking the wind up and allowing it to flow back as "clean", less turbulent air for the rider. Don't be fooled by imitations! The patented design and highest quality materials are what make the Klock Werks Flare windshield the best in its class.
The Klock Werks Flare Low 5" windshield provides a really sporty look to complement the taller fairing featured on 2014-up Touring models
The Klock Werks Flare 6.5" and 8.5” heights offer an aggressive, sporty appearance and create downforce to further enhance the stability of your Tourer so you can feel the air without the buffeting
The Klock Werks Flare 11.5" height combines the best of a tall and short shield by blending the aggressive, sporty look of the shorter versions with the added performance of a taller touring version - low enough to see over, but high enough to tour with
Wind tunnel designed and tested, the “hips” provide added downforce while the “flip” directs air over the rider
Lexan Polycarbonate with FMR hard coating is used to create these custom-molded designs with unmatched durability
Pre-drilled for easy mounting using stock windshield hardware
The Flare windshields are measured from the center bolt hole to the start of the 'flip' at the top of the windshield
Very nice upgrade
I just received my new Klock Werks 6.5" black shield last night. Slapped it on my 2014 Street Glide Special and went for a ride. After a few minutes of getting used to the fact that I can't see through the shield, I was very happy. I still notice a bit of wind a lower speeds, but when I got up around 50+ I really noticed the difference. I am 5'11" and have a 2012 CVO road glide seat which sits me down and back a couple inches from stock. The Klock Werks 6.5 flare puts the wind just above the top of my head at highway speeds. I could notice the extra down force on the front end when going through the twists. My front went felt more stable and really locked into the turns. I also noticed that the black/opaque color forces me to look further ahead which will improve my riding down the road. Oh yeah, it looks great as well!

Must Have Windshield
The Klock Werks Flare Windshield in conjunction with the newer vent in the batwing fairing is the perfect combination to reduce buffeting and add a little "flair" (pun intended) to your ride. I installed one on my '07 Street Glide which worked great, and a new Flare was one of the first accessories I installed when I purchased a 2014 Street Glide Special. Highly recommended!

I am 5'10" and bought the 6.5" for my 2014 Street Glide. Yes, it is an improvement over stock (really anything is better than stock), but not worth the price. I probably should have gotten the 8.5" as I sit tall in the seat because I am long in the waist. The 6.5 has a ton of flex and vibrates a lot when moving at highway speeds.

Works so much better than the stock one...
I bought this to replace the stock one. After riding at speeds over 55mph, I'd get headaches. With the Klock Werks I can ride without even a slight shimmer to my helmet, and besides it looks awesome!

A shopper asked:I just bought a 2014 FLHTCUTG. I added a 3 pouch windshield bag and I wanted to put a new Flared windshield on it. Harley told me no windshield will fit because of the pouch. Then told me if anyone is selling them, it's because you can mount them, but they don't tell you that the pouch must be removed. What say you?Jun 4, 2014
John A:Yes, the mounting holes are pre-drilled. All you have to do is unbolt the old screen and put the new screen in. The klock werks comes with good instructions. It is very easy to do in only a matter of minutes.Oct 12, 2014
Kutay D:Yes, and it fits perfect. Great windshield, just a soft touch of wind on my face. Just rode over 300 miles yesterday, sometimes over 100 mph. I can hear my radio even with my full face Shoei on!Oct 12, 2014
