I wore these socks for the first time during my one day off-road class. It was 92 degrees and I was in full gear. It was a stressfull day as this was my first time off road. These socks performed beautifully. My feet stayed dry and they were comfortable. I was standing on the pegs all day, for off road and my feet were fine. I woudl be a medium normally, but got these socks in small and they fit great in small.

I bought the small, I'm 8.5 and the sock is very comfortable. Very nice quality. Will purchase at least 2 more pairs.

These socks fit great and extend a good deal beyond a average boot so even if the sock does slip it isn't an issue.

Not at all what I expected...
First of all, let me explain that I'm about as close to a paid spokesman for Klim as you'll ever find. LOVE their stuff! Great group of folks up in Idaho, who produce QUALITY riding gear. In the past 12 months I've purchased a Klim Induction Jacket, 2015 Klim Badlands jacket/pants, Klim Induction gloves, Klim Balaclava and misc. Klim apparel. Rating these socks with only 2 stars may have been a bit harsh, as they appear to be well made, however, very poorly thought out in my opinion. After reading several of the RevZilla reviews, it became obvious that the sizing was off (larger than sized). Waaaay off would be a better description. I'm 5' 10" , 180 lbs. and wear a size 10.5/D boot. I ordered these socks in a size medium and probably could have gotten by with a small. I don't wear a small in anything! I understand "Above calf design", however above the knee seems a bit excessive to me. Excellent padding (read too much), however, your boots best have a ton of "wiggle room" (which properly fitting boots should not have) or you won't be able to wear these socks with them. This brings me to my final comment...Do the people who design and market these products, ever actually try them on and wear them?

I own Klim XC pants that are incredible, so I thought to try these. The good and bad. The ingredients are there, Coolmax and wool, but the gray fabric has 6 small snags just after one use. A few snags came right out of the box. It is like a very delicate sweater worn on one of the most abused parts of the body. They are also very thick for socks that are supposed to keep you cool. My feet did stay dry and other than being thick and unraveling, they were comfortable, stayed up on my leg and felt good against my skin. If they fix the gray fabric to be more durable, these would be 5 stars. I wear a 12 and maybe should have gotten the medium, maybe they would not feel as thick if it were stretched over my foot a little tighter. No one sees boot socks, so it you don't care about how they look, go for it, I am sure they will last, but for that kind of $, I am going to experiment elsewhere for Coolmax / wool.

Okay, so they are just socks, and it is a bit of money for socks. That said, my experience with Klim gear is that you get what you pay for.
I find them to be perhaps a bit lighter weight than the older Klim socks I have, but I can't find the model name for them. All 3 pair of my Klim socks are very comfortable, and I rotate through them when traveling on the bike. They are sized larger than one would expect, just like the older socks I have. I keep telling myself to order mediums, but never talk myself into it. Generally I wear 11.5-12 in shoes and boots.
Would definitely buy again.
