useless features very small The tool pouch is a waste of space unless you ride something that runs the risk of breaking down all the time. The main pack can barely fit notebooks in it, forget about trying to fit a change of clothes. I was able to cram 10 16oz cans of monster in it though. May 11, 2015
Solid option for water + some storage Broke this in on a week long off-road trip to Moab and it worked well! I bought this in order to have some compartments instead of just a sole water bladder and it worked well for me - big enough to stuff a layer and a few snacks in for a day long ride and yet not so big it was bulky or heavy. Thumbs up for just the right amount of space for my needs. It comes with a detachable tool pouch which is slick -- a handy option if you don't want to ride with any luggage. On this trip I did use luggage so decided to use it as my primary tool roll but stored it in my luggage. Surprisingly solid little case with zippered mesh pocket on the inside and plenty of elastic loops for tools. Zips all the way around to fully open/close. I may just use this for my regular tool roll. For the water bladder, by day two the mouthpiece was dripping a little when not in use. The info that came with the pack said it had a locking valve but couldn't figure it out the entire trip. FINALLY realized it was just a HARD twist -- now it works beautifully and makes sense. Just had to give it some tough love the first time. I'm a HUGE fan of the water bladder -- the quick release tube, the easy fill, easy dry out -- I was the envy of my friends with different systems. Was really happy to have such an easy system. This pack is a big bigger than a water bladder only pack but I was happy with it. Fits well, doesn't shift around and doesn't add a lot of weight even with the additional compartments. Performed well for the month I've had it - looking forward to future trips with it! Klim products are superb! I love Klim products pretty much over all riding gear - their attention to detail, fit, and finish are in a class all their own. Of course, their gear is expensive, but in my humble opinion, you get what you pay for. March 16, 2015
Much better than carrying tools in a hip belt! Really nice to combine the water supply and tool belt into one package. Rides much nicer as a small back pack rather than pulling down your pants!! September 22, 2014
Comfortable pack I have used this pack on a couple of trips now and it is very comfortable. Water storage is great but a full hydro pack will limit storage. The removable tool pouch is useful on its own. June 26, 2014
Amazing pack! Top quality, tons of storage. Even includes a tool pouch, well worth the money. March 12, 2014
Happy Nac Pack I've wanted to pick up a Nac Pack for a while. It's quality is just what I expected from Kiim. Excellent fit and finish. Great functionality. I'm trying to figure out what else I can do with the shovel holder. Nice bag. October 16, 2013

LAURA AIKEN B: If you read my review on the BadlandsPro then you know why I need 3 litres of water on my back. The tool pouch gets a little too heavy if you pack it though, I ended up getting the Scramble pack which is perfect for that and use the tool pouch for other things. Sep 6, 2013
A shopper asked: Is this pack (or even the krew pak) waterproof? Mar 29, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
RevZilla: According to Klim both the Nac Pak and Krew Pak are *slightly* water resistant, meaning that if you encounter a heavy bought of rain, anything in the pockets will get wet. We would recommend reinforcing your valuables with with a zip lock plastic back to ensure their safety. Apr 4, 2012

A shopper asked: I see that the shovel pocket has two "squeeze clip" attachment/detachment points above it, but I cannot discern how it is attached at the bottom to the main bag. Is the shovel pocket (with its attached compartment) completely removable? Overall, this Klim product, compared to other backpacks you offer, strikes me as a screaming bargain. Thanks for any info. PhilipPino: I have a couple of packs witch have "shovel" pockets. None are detachable. The upper straps witch have quick-detach buckles are compression straps. Combined with the elastic straps, which are sewn to the pack on the sides, near the bottom of the pocket, allow the pack to expand or contract for larger or smaller objects. The pocket is sewn to the body of the pack and may have a small opening at the bottom for the handle of a shovel or longer items. The quick-detach buckles at the top allow the pocket to be opened wide for easy access to the items in it.

Hope this helps.

JMAC: The shovel blade pocket is not detachable. It attaches to the main pack body using mesh on the sides and with some tough cords at the bottom which will allow snow / dirt to fall through and not gather in the pocket. Sep 6, 2012

Shiou-Jen S asked: Can this bag accept other brands of bladder? I have a camelback 3L and would like to continue using it in this bag if possible. May 6, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Daniel D: Yeah, the bladder and hose can be removed completely and I'm sure any other standard bladder shape with its hose can fit in its place. However I really like the klim bladder design and the ability to flip it entirely inside out for cleaning is really nice. May 6, 2015
