Kaoko Throttle Lock BMW F700 GS / F800 GS / K1200 S R / R1200 S R RT / K1300 S R

The Kaoko Cruise Control is perfect for anyone looking to reduce fatigue and strain on your hand and wrist during long distance highway riding.

Each Throttle Lock consists of a simple, ingenious and robustly designed friction nut that is integrated with a special Kaoko bar end weight. The Kaoko bar end weight is closely matched in appearance and weight to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) bar end weight.

The Friction Nut has a left-hand thread. It must be adjusted so that it makes light contact with the rubber throttle sleeve.

The Grub Screw is set to provide the necessary resistance on the friction nut. This may be adjusted periodically to take up wear.

To Engage: Twist the throttle and friction nut simultaneously with your right hand. This action tightens the nut and provides sufficient friction to set throttle to the desired position. The friction nut is designed that the rider may still open and close the throttle.

To Disengage: Roll off the throttle while gripping the friction nut. The throttle should open and snap closed freely.

Type A - BMW F700GS and F800GS with Barkbuster, Touratech handguards or OEM barend mounted plastic handguards. All other models without handguards.

Great hand saver on long rides Great looking product. Does what it should while looking like it is part of the bike and not an add-on. A bit pricey but it is well made. Highly recommend it for the long distance rider who needs to give his right hand a much needed pause. July 8, 2014
Pricy, but well made. Well made, good looking piece that works as advertised. It does come at a price though. Overall it is no replacement for an active cruise control but it does allow one to stretch their right hand. July 8, 2014
This product works great I put this cruise control on my 08 stratoliner midnight it was very easy to install only took about five minutes. I have put around 600 miles on my bike since installing the kaoko throttle lock I have not had any problems with it would defiantly recommend it easy to use works great and it is adjustable. It is a hand saver July 8, 2014
LOVE IT! I oder the product prior to my 1,100 miles trip. Went up to 1,000 Island NY from Baltimore MD and I see it over 50% of the trip on 81North. The product was great and very helpful. Easy to use and great design. HIGHLY recomended. July 7, 2014
Simple Install, Factory Looks, Worth the Price of Admission I had been looking around for a throttle lock for my 07 R1, and this quality lock fit the bill. The install took all of 3 minutes, the LH thread twist to lock motion is natural and easily learned, and the fit/finish is up to par with Yamaha's OEM, quality finishes. The price is steep, but if you are looking for a quality lock for your bike, look no further. July 7, 2014
Well made, works great I'm using it on a 2013 Triumph Tiger 800. It literally took 3 minutes to install. You simply take the old screw out and put this in (use a dab of loctite on the threads of the Kaoko bolt) and tighten... done. It looks great too. The knurls are for your glove material to grab from the edge of your little finger. You can roll the lock on or off. The Throttlemeister on my 94 R1100RS is smooth and sometimes I have to move my whole hand onto it to roll it on or off if that makes sense. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is price. I suppose we're paying for the word KAOKO embedded into the lock. Either way it's better than any other lock I've ever used. ALl future bikes will get one if KAOKO makes it! July 5, 2014
It was very easy install and it works great. . It's very easy to install and it works great. I an now able to rest my right hand while on long road trips. May 19, 2014
Well made piece I didn't realize how much I missed a throttle lock on my bike until I didn't have one. After trading my Throttlemeister equipped BMW RS for a GS in 2011 I sort of forgot about it until I did some extended trips. After returning from a hand cramped Tennessee ride I decided to immediately install one. I chose the Kaoko because it was a bit cheaper and the reviews were favorable. Installation couldn't have been simpler and the metal piece has a nice heavy feel (matching the weight of the original bar end) and is well made. Revzilla came through with their usual fast shipping. I still think these things are over priced, hence my 4 star review, but I suppose it is a rather specialized unit to tool up for. Very nice to have an occasional rest for the wrist though. Donavan G: Similar in weight to what is factory on the bar ends, which in the case of the 1700 Vmax was quite a bit. I wanted to ensure that the throttle lock was similar as they are weighted for a reason and I wasn't disappointed. The quality is exceptional and it looks like the factory put it there. (they should have!) Jan 12, 2014

Chris G: The Kaoko unit for my BMW R1150RT and R1200S appears to be almost
identical in weight to the stock bar end weights. Could not find any OEM weight specs but the weight is not a concern over the stock bar ends.
