As an engineer I like technology and this is their Composite Plus technology is something trully inovative to improve helmet safety. When I first got the helmet I was getting some whistleing nose at freeway speeds. I wrote a note to the company and got an immediate response from Brad. He offered to give me a different helmet to try out (isolated insident). Turns out the company is only a short ride from me in Morgan Hill, Ca. So I went there on my lunch break and sure enought with the different helmet the problem was gone. The customer support was outstanding I didn't even expect such treatment. After a cople of weeks of riding I love this helmet. It is very light, comfortable, looks beautiful, and offers a great perifiral vision. Not to say that it could have some enhancements. Because it has no chin curtain, I get a lot of air coming in from the bottom, which makes the helmet noisier then I would like, however it also provides additional ventilation, because the top vent is not very effective.

Its a slightly round medium oval. If you're looking for an oval shaped helmet in this price range I would reccommend the RF-1100.
