Great features for a reasonable price
Was very excited to get this as my first jacket. I was looking for something that would offer good protection, fit well and looked nice and this checked all the boxes. As I will do most of my riding in the summer, ventilation was crucial and this jacket nails that too. The two huge panels on the front zip off easily and with everything open, the jacket vent very well even on very warm days. In 90 degree weather I was comfortable. Can't wait to get more miles on it!

Nice and comfortable jacket, lot of protection. I had the opportunity to test the air flow in a hot day (89°F) and I had to say that it exceeded my expectations about the fresh air through the air flow system. Just be careful with the size. In my case I bought L size (I'm 5.9 ft and 180 lb) and feels a little loose in some areas. In general it's a very good option with a nice price. 100% recommended.

Horrible only worn 4 times, does not hold up
4 mph parking lot tip over , the jacket shredded at the seams of the right pocket(have gopro video to prove) this jacket doesn’t have the ability to hold up to any real speed accident…so what is it good for? Joe rocket customer service avoids my calls(has not returned them since the first call 3 weeks ago) the rep for my local shop does too…. Do not buy any joe rocket equipment, they do not stand behind their product

I have the 1st Rasp jacket and It's past its prime so I ordered the new one. It's great looking and comfortable with the 8 point surefit system it's quite easy to get the fit just right. It breathes better than the 1st Rasp and looks better. The removable liner is also not just a vest but a full long sleved liner which was a very welcomed surprise! The free air mesh panels are at least twice as big as the original.
The only cons are it only has the additional outer armor on the shoulders not on the upper arm/elbow/lower arm like the first Rasp did. I also like the original pant zipper attachment better than the current jacket's 4 belt loop attachment points.
But I would still highly reccomend this jacket.

I purchased this jacket about a week or so ago and its a sold 3 season jacket. It has a removable hoody inside so it will be ok to ride with in the summer and you can push it to winter if you layer up.
MickeyHampton:Yes, it's a good 3 season jacket. NO IT DOES NOT HAVE A HOODIE it does have a full length zip in/out liner not just a vest like the description says. It flows air really well when you want it to and shuts it out very well when it's all closed up.Feb 4, 2013
Ryan L:I don't have a aftermarket spine protector in my jacket just the one that came in it. Honestly I was going to get a separate protector but I'm happy with the included one. The pocket is very large and should accomidate most any protecter. There are no slits for the straps that are on most stand alone spine protectors though. Apr 23, 2015
