Excelent Starter Glove Used these gloves for my BRC classes... It rained both days... These aren't necessarily waterproof, but they served their purpose well. A few days later I went for a ride at 35 degrees Fahrenheit... I wouldn't say my hands were warm, but they weren't terribly cold either. Probably not a great summer glove but it works wonderfully for the other three seasons. October 15, 2012
Great beginner gauntlet I was told that the gauntlet gloves were the best gloves to purchase because of the protection it provides. This gauntlet covers the entire hand and wrist as it supposed to. The valcro looks cheap and appears to wear down with excessive use. However, the price you pay for the gauntlet is superb. The price range is spot on because if you upgrade to a high grade joe rocket glove it provides more protection with better padding. The padding around the wrist is minimal and if the rider were to ever fall. I am not certain if the rider will leave unscathed. August 27, 2012
Great finish and fit. Durable. Likely a 3 season glove. I've ridden about 500 miles in these gloves so its about time I wrote up something. With Fall/Winter approaching I opted for a leather glove with a decent gauntlet in the $50 price point. Great finish and fit. Decent gauntlet length and dual Velcro straps that go in opposite directions to ensure proper fit. The extra padding is decent on the backside and on top of the fingers and does allow good movement as Anthony mentions. The reflective piping has worked out well with my Joe Rocket RASP Jacket and also like Anthony mentions you can easily wear them over or under your jacket. See pictures. I wore them on a 49F commute to work one morning and with no insulation per se you are not going to get much warmth out of them. The thumb areas joining the palm are excellent to stave off wear with working the areas of the clutch and front brake. They provide good tactile feedback on the controls and once they are worn in you'll probably not notice you are wearing gloves anymore. Which is a plus in any riders book. I wouldn't recommend them for the track. There is not enough protection here for what the track environment calls for at this price point. I surmise though they could hold up in a decent spill.
