Interphone F5 XT Stereo 3.0 Bluetooth Intercom - Twin Pack

The Interphone F5XT is the first Bluetooth Intercom to be released with advanced intercom features. Up to 6 F5XT's can be connected to extend intercom range to up to a mile. The frustration of hearing mysterious beep tones has been eliminated with the Text to Speech (TTS) feature of the F5XT. TTS gives audible voice indications when the intercom connects, disconnects, music plays or pauses, and when a phone call is incoming. The F5XT TTS feature will also tell you who is calling so you can avoid answering the call if desired. Bluetooth 3.0 technology gives the F5XT the longest battery life of any Bluetooth intercom to date.

The Interphone F5XT features a host of audio options. The hi-fi stereo speakers provide great sound quality for music and intercom. Each F5XT kit includes a 3.5mm audio cable for connection to non-Bluetooth audio devices. A2DP stereo Bluetooth allows high quality music streams from your stereo Bluetooth device to the F5XT. The remote control profile allows you to control playback remotely from the F5XT (with notifications from the headset TTS system). Music functionality is further expanded with the F5XT's built-in FM radio.

The Interphone F5XT features the most advanced phone options available. Incoming and outgoing calls can be controlled by voice, incoming calls are also announced as the F5XT can read caller information, so there are no surprises when you answer. Multipoint technology also allows two phones to be connected simultaneously (if you have a business and personal line). Advanced DSP algorithms make calls at freeway speeds sound as good as calls made in the living room.

Features:

  • Pairs in full duplex with up to 5 other headsets for full duplex intercom
  • Can be used with all previous versions of the Interphone (F4, F3, F2 and original Interphone)
  • Can pair to any smartphone for music, GPS and phone calls. The F5XT also can sync with your phone book for spoken caller id
  • Adjusts the speaker volume based on the noise level detected by the microphone. (Note: It may be necessary to disable this feature on full face helmets to obtain full volume.)
  • Pairs with popular motorcycle GPS systems for voice guidance
  • Rechargeable lithium ion battery lasts up to 11 hours while the F5XT is in use
  • Features stereo speakers which provide clean loud audio
  • A2DP and Bluetooth 3.0 insure the highest quality audio connection
  • AVRCP profile allows the rider to play pause and control tracks from the headset
  • Optional handlebar remote
  • FM Radio features 8 station memory and RDS for spoken station identification
  • Battery can last up to 700 hours of standby when not in use
  • Text to speech eliminates beep tones and replaces them with easy to understand voice prompts
  • If you have custom ring tones, the F5XT will use them instead of using the caller id feature

Awesome product, bad cable Bought this product before going on a Coast to Coast ride. Worked great the whole trip. Installed on an Icon Aramada Salient helmet and dealt with some comfort issues. Not enough room for speakers in the helmet so I cut out some foam to make wearing it tolerable. Pairing with Phone is painless and the sound is good through the speakers. Its a real pain to call using the voice option. Not sure if thats a by product of the Android and Interphone or not. Also ran into a problem with the storing of radio stations. Once you store one, it's near impossible to add more. The main problem I had with this product is the 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable they send with it. For the first 3 days of my trip it worked perfectly and I was able to listen to audiobooks/music from my iPod, but at the beginning of the 4th day of my journey, the cable stopped working. That being said, the interphone works amazingly despite its few quirks and faulty accessory cable. July 7, 2014
Easy to use great sound Pros: Voice prompt commands and menu functions cant be beat. Good sound. Battery life is good. Easy installation. Easy charging. Cons: A little extra wire to deal with. All in this has been a great purchase for me, used for calling, streaming music and navigation. Now I only use one device my phone to do all these functions via Bluetooth. This has really been a space and weight saver for my rides. June 9, 2014
Worth the Money First off – this is my first Revzilla purchase and it gets a 5 Star F5 Cons: - No Voice To Text for text messages, knew this a head of time but with all the features it has this would have been nice - Hands Free Mode on the phone (Samsung Note 3) does not seem to work when enabled. It has its own voice response system but I would like to use my phones. - Selecting some of the features in the menu, if done wrong, IE) not hold the button long enough takes you into intercom mode. Can get a little frustrating having to start again. - Wanted to get the remote but the F5 can only support 2 Bluetooth devices, GPS and Phone take up those sadly. F5 Neither Con nor Pro: - Volume button should be on the top and bottom not the side, can forget which one is + and - - Auto volume, good try but disabled it on day 2 F5 Pro: - Easy install in my Shoe GT-AIR - Music was clear at 102-130 KMH/75-80MPH - Talking on phone call great at city speeds - Speakers, small, good sound fit in the helmet great. Takes a couple of rides to get them placed just right April 22, 2014
Works great with iPhone 5S Although I can not review the intercom features(I have not used this feature), the bluetooth connectivity, iphone integration, TTS , and sound quality of the speakers and phone calls have all been great. The Interphone f5xt connected easily and seamlessly with my iphone 4s, and now the 5S. Easily accesses SIRI for sending messages, or reading you an incoming message, make phone calls, or use the maps navigation all without taking your eyes off the road. Pretty cool. Can also access your iTunes music. I haven't tried it with iTunes radio yet. I believe you can control any app that SIRI is able to control. Phone calls are easily made from the f5xt, however, answering incoming ones can sometimes be a struggle. Sometimes I am unable to answer them, not sure why. Voice quality is outstanding though, no one I've spoken with has the slightest clue that I'm on my bike. I do have it installed in a full face Arai rx-q, which may help with the quiet phone calls. Install is very easy, and the unit comes with several mic options and mounting choices for many types of helmets. The firmware is upgradable, if you have a Windows machine.... February 17, 2014
Works great Easier to install that I thought it would be, I'm just using an enduro helmet. The audio quality I hear isn't as good as I'd like, but it may be the helmet I use right now. When on the phone the person on the other end indicates the quality is great and don't even know I'm on a bike. March 24, 2014
Big disappointment A couple friends, my wife and I purchased these for road trips. Pretty easy to set up but seem to have issue maintaining contact over a period of time. Not sure product problem or nature of the beast. Biggest issue was on 2 occasions during a storm. Once on a roadtrip with the guys another with my wife. When i needed communication the most these let us down. Lost communication and 2 persons units shut completely off and would not restart. This was especially dangerous with my wifes first experience riding in a storm. We really counted on having communication between us so I could talk her through the situation and help her feel more comfortable. For top of the line pricing really expected a flawless experience. This time I did not get what I paid for. November 9, 2013
Simple and with great quality A simple to operate, The best sound quality for songs; Microphone that cancels / reduces noise; Compact, unobtrusive, easy installation; And most surprising: Follows two microfons helmets for closed and open. October 26, 2013
i like it i got this one because lots of bikers got it in my group , i have to say its little bit complicated when you try to sync 5 or 6 together, i used it on my AGV rp60 open helmet , installation was very easy very simple , sound is good , music is good , i actually didn't expect it to sound that good ,the only problem i had was the mic foam thingy flew away out of the mic , so i guess its better to use like a drop of glue to keep it in its place , and the package came with spare one so everything is good :D December 7, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
shaun s: Integration with iPhone and TTS caller ID Oct 4, 2014
Rich B: My riding buddy and I purchased a pair of F5's 2 years ago and have really appreciated them and use them every ride. When we ride with others we split up one in front and one in back. We have ordered another pair for family members who also ride occasionally with us. If you have trouble with volume level - disable auto volume default and you can crank it up manually if needed. L Y: My original BT was stolen, along with my helmet and gloves. I needed to replace the pair. Love the BT, works great and this model has a serial number . Jan 18, 2014
Wayne C: Voice to text. Good rating. Oct 2, 2013
A shopper asked: How well can you hear the music on a full face helmet? I intend on getting one of these primarily to be able to listen to music. I currently have an old O'neal helmet with an integrated BT, but after 50 MPH I can not hear anything. My normal cruising speed is usually in the 90-100 MPH range. What type/brand of helmet do you recommend to install this in to be able to hear at these speeds? Jun 6, 2014

Neil M: I have this intercom fitted to my Nolan X-Lite X-551 helmet and have no problem listening to music from either the inbuilt radio or MP3 player, ( Iphone).
Unfortunately, ( or fortunately, depending on your view), the unit fitted to my girlfriends helmet doesn't work at over about 25MPH. It worked fine when I first fitted it but after about 3 weeks it became unbearable to use due to the interference or feedback coming through the earpieces on my unit.

Richard W: Cruising at 90 -100 mph? That seems silly. I use mine on the freeway at 70 - 80 mph in a Shoe Hornet DS. I can here it just fine. Intercom is great. My only complaint is the inability to have music and intercom at the same time. If you're really cruising at 90 -100 mph, you probably shouldn't be distracted by any audio. At 50 mph, it works great. Speaker placement is the key. I have a Scorpion 1/2 helmet that works fine art 70 mph as well. . Jun 6, 2014

A S: Yes Richard, some of us actually KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING. What do you ride, a Harley?? Or maybe you still have the training wheels attached.
In any event, keep your opinions of any issues other than subject matter to yourself. Aug 2, 2014
Járcio B: I think most of helmets are not able to be totaly silent. i have a Shoei Neotec and also an Interphoe FX 5, and it works good if the speed is not too high. These new helmets have plenty of technology to decrease noise. I think you should choose one that is closed as possible under the chin that will help you a lot. Jun 8, 2014

Jordan B: The interphone is a great device but the volume and sound quality is not the best. I'm not sure if a different helmet would help ether. If your buying it for music I would suggest the sena comunicator they have better speakers and there cheeper. Hope I helped :) Jun 8, 2014

Dong S A: At 70 MPH at default volum the sound is pretty good considering the size of the speakers. At full volum the triple are high and base is mute. Jun 9, 2014

ADAM B: I use shoei rf1100 full face and the music is better than the uclear helmet-phone/music I have on older helmet. It is ok but not really loud. Jun 6, 2014

A shopper asked: Are these devices water proof and do they auto connect if you go out of range and come back into range? Feb 3, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Steven D: in my experience they are completely waterproof. more that a couple downpours and they are working just fine. i am unable to give you a 100% final answer on the range question. but they should because once they are pair to each other i have to go in and clear it manually for others to be paired if im with others. Jordan B: Yes there water/dust proof and a coworker even put my helmet in the freezer as a prank and that didn't bother it. The reception is great and the signal will reconnect if lost for a short period Feb 3, 2014

A shopper asked: Has anyone used this system with a dualsport type helmet, like an Icon Variant or an Arai? If so how does the sound quality measure up? And how was it installing the device into your helmet? Apr 12, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Richard W: I have mine on a Shoei Hornet DS. The sound is good and I had no problems mounting and installing. I also have an Autocomm. My only gripe about the F5 is that when you're on intercom, that's all you get. I'd like to be able to listen to music and "answer" an intercom call. With the F5, it's one or the other. The Autocomm is better at mixing different sources and cutting the volume of music for phone calls. If I ever figure l out how to get both to work together I'll be happy. Apr 12, 2014

Jordan B: Installing the device on any helmet is pretty easy but I have a supper moto with dual yoshimura exhaust and unless you have the volume cranked you can't hear much and I only put 2 batterie charges though the thing before the speakers blew. Id give the system a 10 out of 10 but the speakers a 3. Hope this helped Apr 12, 2014

A shopper asked: Purchased the interphone f5xt . Over all very pleased with this item. Manuals and more specific instruction is lacking which handicaps you if you have a specific question. Overall set up Is a breeze.
My question is this. Regarding FM radio how do I wipe the presets or scan for different stations. There appears to be a flaw in the programing ( and I could be wrong) but once you find your five local area stations and pre--set them in memory it doesn't allow you to scan up or down for additional stations. Leaving next week for an extended trip where all my pre-set stations will be out of range
How do I fix this problem? I tried interphone ....still waiting.............
Jun 9, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
William C: Mine still scans by holding the up button for a few seconds versus just pressing it. The quick press simply cycles the presets. Jul 8, 2014
