Icon Women's Sacred Tall Boots

Some ladies prefer their boots on the taller side. Mid-calf height, providing extra leather coverage while keeping jaws dropping. If your game is moto mixed with sexy than look no further than the Sacred Talls. A flat sole provides sure-footedness while integrated alloy heel plates and shifter nubs provide requisite motorcycle functionality. Of course the leather covered shinplate is sure to evoke a gladiatorial sexiness that seems most appropriate when found on the ladies (sorry Maximus).

Features:

  • Tall 12" top grain leather upper
  • Low profile Icon outsole
  • Axialmetric steel shank
  • Padded shin panel
  • Custom molded metal heel plate
  • Molded rubber shifter nubs
  • YKK autolock zippers

Great brown boot, finally
Why can't I find brown accessories for women? I did not know that the first rule of Moto Club is that you do not talk about the lack of choice for women who want to wear brown.

I picked these boots because I was looking for brown boots that didn't look like I was working on a construction site or hiking the Appalachian Trail with a congressman or two. I wasn't sure about the brown boot with the white soles, but I love them. Makes them different. And the boot has peg nubbins. Hello!! Does your boot have nubbins? I love my nubbins. I have them on both boots even though the right boot doesn't need them. It's all about symmetry and not hogging the nubbins. Nubbins for everyone!

It's a light brown. Keep that in mind if it matters. It shouldn't matter. You have nubbins.

There are buckles at the ankles to adjust if you need to. Like I said, the sole is white (as are the ... NUBBINS!). That doesn't affect the grip, naturally, but it is a much different look. The material of the sole goes up the back of the heel and has a metal bit for protection, visibility, and to make you look like you're on Star Trek.

If I had to have one complaint, it's the width of the shaft as it goes up your calf. (I have tried to re-write that to avoid the giggles, but that's what it is called!) I like my jeans over my boots. This flared style makes me look like I have a big wart on my shin, so I resort to tucking the jeans in. You may like that. It's okay. I won't judge. It's not that I don't like the look of jeans tucked in, it's just that I am so bad at it, that I end up looking like I'm wearing golf knickers.

I love having brown boots now that I can wear as regular shoes after a ride. Although I'd like a better selection of brown boots for women, I do think I'd still have chosen these. (And, no, leopard print does not count as a brown option.)

Super Comfy
I wanted to wait to write a review so that I had a chance to wear them for a while. It was really important to me to have not only good looking (and tall) boots but also that they would be comfortable just walking around in off the bike. First when I got them they were really really stiff but as I wore them around the house and rode with them they loosened up and now they feel amazing! I could wear them all day. They feel protective and look great. I get lots of compliments on them. I am a 7.5 shoe size so I ordered the 8 and it fits perfectly. Girls, if you want tall motorcycle boots that look sexy and can wear all day without sacrificing protection look no further.

Stylish, safe, high quality boot - but runs small!
I was initially drawn to the boot based on style, and price. They look great and I have received a number of compliments on them. They seem as safe and secure as one could want, although I haven't been (and don't hope to be) in an accident with them on so I can't attest to that 100%. I will warn that these run SMALL. I wear a 7, maybe a 7.5 in all ranges of shoes and boot. I had to exchange these and now have an 8, and even at that, the ankle is tight. I am an average girl, wear a 4/6 size pant, my ankles are small, and these boots are hugging my ankles so much so that with skinny jeans under and tight socks I can barely zip them. That being said, you want them to be snug so I kept the 8. The boots were kind of uncomfortable at first, but now after 7+ rides they have broken in and I can now walk in them with no winces. I can't speak on the water resistant aspect, haven't worn them in the rain. There is obviously no ventilation on the boot but they aren't all that hot. Rode in 90 degree weather and had no issues. They are very high quality leather. One whiff and there is no denying these are real hide! So if you are looking for a stylish, well priced, durable, protective boot I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Sacred boot, just watch the sizing!
Enjoy & safe riding!

very good boot, I'll buy the same ones when my current ones wear out.
Very good riding boot. I've been riding 5 days a week to and from work here in Florida, these boots have seen 2 rainy seasons and are still holding up well. A little yamalube every couple months keeps them fresh looking and soft.

Impressed
I have had my boots since March 2015 and absolutely love them. I am always being asked where I got them from and are they really a Moto boot. They were very stiff when I first got them but didn't take long to soften up.
My only whinge is the zip isn't smooth, keep thinking its going to break as it catches but just don't rush putting them on.

Love these boots!
I got these based on reviews and the style - I wanted higher boots with protection, that still looked cute off the bike. I really like the look and fit of these boots. The are definitely a little stiff the first few times wearing them, but loosen up after a few times. They do, however, run small. I usually wear a 7 - 7 1/2, but size 8 fits perfectly on my feet and calves. They just fit over a pair of skinny jeans, but aren't uncomfortable by any means. I also really like the shifting reinforcements in the toe. Great boots!

Good boot, not great
The reviews really helped - I ordered a full size up due to comments and they are a good fit (I am a US 7.5 - ordered a US 8.5).

They look good and I haven't worn them riding yet but they are not super comfortable. I wouldn't say they were uncomfortable, but I did expect more support. As one other reviewer commented, these boots have zero ankle support, which is a big let down - and they don't have as much support under foot as needed in my opinion either. I imagine I will break them in with wear and get used to them and I am still happy with the purchase - just wish there was more support!

Another thing is they don't have ankle plates or any protection or padding besides the leather - I would have liked this ideally also.

The main reason I purchased these is so I could wear them to work and not have to change once I arrived - they do meet this need, they are a fashionable boot and I would feel comfortable wearing them to work in winter.

The other reason I purchased them is for extra warmth and wind protection in winter - again, they meet this need - very think shin protection and a good length for warmth in winter.

Good value for the money
I like these boots. They fit true to size (I ordered an 8) and are well made. They are wide enough in the calf to accommodate tucked-in jeans. The only drawback is that they are quite stiff, and this was no surprise to me as other reviews had warned me. No doubt they will soften up with repeated wearings.

Zero Ankle Support
I waited a little too long to write this, so I don't remember every detail anymore. I was looking for something stylish AND functional (surprise surprise). These seemed to fit the bill. I didn't love that they didn't have ankle plates, but was happy to find a tall, good-looking boot that had an axialmetric steel shank. I liked that they weren't too chunky. The shin protectors and shifter nubs were cool, too.

The problem? ZERO ankle support. I'm not talking about the lank of ankle protection--I knew that going into the purchase. But walking around my bedroom in them, I almost rolled my ankle. I felt much safer when I put my hiking boots back on (what I've been wearing to ride until I find the right moto boot).

Great riding boot for a passenger
I bought these boots initially to ride my own bike but am now just riding as a passenger but still wanted protection. I also wanted something cute that would be attractive esepcially if I was going to wear skinny jeans. The protection is adequate, I mean there aren't plates to stabalize the ankle and stuff like that but for the price they are far better than wearing sneakers. I normally wear a size 7 and after reading the reviews decided on a size 8 and they were perfect. However if you have large calves bewar because they aren't that wide at the calf area. They also need a little breaking in once you get them, maybe walk around a bit with them on. But once I wore them about three times they were perfect.

I have a brown RSD jacket and wanted brown boots. That's why I chose the color. I chose this particular brand and style because Speed Talking Anthony made it look great in the video. I like the shifty nubbins and shin protector.

These boots took a while to wear in, and it was a painful process, not going to lie. Also the zipper on one of the boots needed to be worn in as well, and it made me question the quality at first, however now they both zip up just fine and fit well and don't hurt my feet at all.

How big are these boots in the calf? I have a hard time finding tall boots that fit my smaller than average calves.
Carissa F on Apr 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They are quite large. My girl has very large calves and the boots are not snug on her calves. Chances are if you have small to average size calves, the boots will fit loose.
Do these boots have any sort of ankle protection or support? The description doesn't mention anything about it. Thanks!
A shopper on Mar 26, 2012
BEST ANSWER: There is not internal ankle protection in the boot.
Do these ICON boots run true to size?
A shopper on May 2, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I usually wear an 8.5-9 and the 8.5 was way too narrow and hurt my toes. If you have narrow feet they might run true to size - but if you have average or wide feet, no way.
It's not mentioned, so I'm assuming they're not, but they're leather, so might they have a reasonable level of water resistance? If not, is there any venting that would allow moisture to escape?
A shopper on Oct 18, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Every question I saw on here asked about how they would do in water. So I filled my bathtub up with about 3 inches of water, put my boots on, and hopped in. They didn't soak through at all, but if water goes in over the cuff then there's nothing you can do about that. Only had my feet in for about 30 seconds. I would say they're at least water resistant, but for long rides in the rain, you'll want to cover the cusp of the boot to prevent water from running down into it somehow. Otherwise, play in the puddles all you want.
