Icon Variant Battlescar Helmet
Great cruising helmet
This helmet is great for cruising speeds. If you're constantly wanting to go fast, this helmet isn't for you. Top visor piece gets caught in wind easily when trying to attempt fast speeds and can really be annoying when riding fast. My neck was killing me when i rode for about 2-3 hours, breaks here and there. I broke into the helmet and its really comfortable to me now and i just cruise with my bluetooth unit on with pandora running.

Great helmet with one major flaw.
I love this helmet, the anti-fog coating on the visor is absolutely amazing, any moisture simply runs off the visor and barely affects your vision.
Wind noise at high speeds can be a bit loud, but that's expected. After a days ride in it I only had a slight headache, nothing too bad.
My one serious issue with this helmet is the visor changing mechanism. Whoever designed it is a total drongo. I hate changing the visor, I feel as if I'm going to break the dang mechanism and visor. Idiotic design. That alone makes me not recommend this helmet if you'll be changing the visor often.
Another issue I have is that the smoke / reflective visors aren't marked with the ECE certification, leading to people being fined for "not meeting the helmet standards" where I live.

you will hear the noise form the air going in the vents but that is about the only complaint.
The soft rubber part over the chin area is starting to come off already after about two weeks of owning the helmet. i did get caught in the rain one day thou so that may be why but i still think that shouldnt bother it.

Great Supermoto Helmet
I recently switched from motocross to the street on a Supermoto bike, and did a lot of research on a suitable helmet. I was between the AFX and this one, and I couldn't pass up this sale. The helmet is beautiful and very comfortable. The vision is excellent, and I have been caught in a downpour in it and it handled the rain well. Only downside is that the top vents (for me) are almost impossible to open, so I just leave them open and don't mess with it. Other than that, great helmet, I would definitely recommend. I get comments about it almost daily.

The Icon Variant has everything I was looking for in "road" sumo helmet. The styling is on point, visibility and ventilation are great, and cuts the wind surprisingly well for a visor helmet. The only thing keeping it from achieving a 5 star helmet rating for me are the time consuming steps required in face shield replacement and limited space for my in-helmet Bluetooth speakers. But a great helmet none the less.

Loved it at first
Loved the helmet at first even though it arrived with a minuscule scratch on the shield and the top left vent doesn't close despite application of a small amount of silicon lube.
I've had a chance to put about 500 miles on using it on both my 2013 GoldWing and 2015 CRF250l.
Now either the shield or visor rattles so loudly it's distracting me from enjoying my ride. If I can't figure out how to get it to stop rattling it's a deal breaker and will be going back to ICON.
Too bad because of all my 20 or so helmets I liked this one best at first

I purchased the Battlescar helmet while on closeout, and I'm very happy I did. The day I got it, I took it right out and did a 150 mile ride through the mountains to really see what I got into.
Pros: Awesome design! I was getting compliments from someone every time I stopped for gas about the helmet. It's really a unique look! It's also light and very comfortable. I rode for about 6 straight hours with no problem. Other helmets I own will start to hurt after a couple hours, but this Icon was comfortable all day. Next, visibility is great! Much better than a standard street helmet, and finally the airflow is just fantastic, and probably the best thing about it! I rode on a very hot/humid day, and while cruising with all the vents/slots open, it honestly feels like sticking your face out a car window. There is so much airflow into, and out of the helmet that when moving I didn't sweat at all. You can easily control how much air you want into/out of the helmet as well because Icon made the vents big enough that you can operate them easily with gloves on.
Cons: The helmet is a little loud, but not more than my other full face HJC or Scorpions. The visor does cause lift when turning your head. I will hand it to Icon, when facing into the wind, there is almost no lift at all, and I can even look up without discomfort, but once you turn your head you can definitely feel the visor act like a sail as it pulls with the wind. I noticed that after doing over the shoulder checks for traffic, I'd have to slightly readjust the helmet by pulling it back down. It's not terrible, but definitely a bit of a nuisance. Finally the visor is not quick change, so you basically need to chose what you're going to wear for the day. For me, I generally ride day only, so the smoke visor is a permanent fixture for me, but for those who commute and need a clear lens for early mornings or evenings, making the switch requires a tool (Included in the box) and a few minutes of your time.
Overall I'd definitely recommend this helmet to a friend. It's light, comfortable, great airflow and looks great. I ride a motard so I think this helmet is a perfect accessory for it!

Air flow, Comfort and it just looks good.
I bought this one for the high air flow, living in Las Vegas and commuting daily in 100+ heat I find this helmet is one of the better ones at circulating air. I am not disappointed in this helmet in any way
