Icon Squad 3 Backpack

Pack up, roll out…it’s how we live. When the moment calls, it’s time to bug out and hit the blacktop with all the necessary gear in tow. To accomplish this, Icon engineered the ICON Squad 3 Backpack specifically for those that ride day-in-day-out. Revised and reimagined for the daily grind at legalish speeds. Updated graphics, a laptop specific pocket, unique front closure system, 360-degree reflective materials and our ICON Tri-Fit Closure System. It’s a backpack built with the rider in mind. *While the Squad3 is built with water resistant fabrics, Icon highly recommends the use of an aftermarket dry bag for any electronic equipment.

Great Product This Icon pack is a great product. It's well made and sporty. Extremely made tough and feels extremely comfortable. Icon did their thing. April 7, 2014
This product has everthing you will need for storage This back pack is low profile and feels great on your back even with a leather jacket. It fits like a vest and high up on the back for a comfort fit. I would tell all my riding buddies about the back pack. April 7, 2014
Warning: Limited Space This backpack is great if you don't carry much around. It provides only enough space for a laptop and maybe a textbook. Not really great for school, or bringing a lunch to work with. Had issues fitting stuff in this pack. I work on a military base, so being able to display my CAT card is convenient. But it is not a real deal breaker when getting a pack that doesn't offer much space. Nonetheless, that is what this backpack is made for. It is made to fit a laptop and that is pretty much it! So don't get it if you want to put more stuff than that. March 24, 2014
Good small, quick trip backpack. The bag is great. Very small compartments and perfect for quick trips. Seems to be made well and very durable. I currently use a 15" laptop for work and it fits in the pouch very snug but does work. The real benefit is the front straps which allow the bag to sit on your back well and distributes the weight well. Price seemed a little steep but its really the only slim back pack out there that offers these features. March 17, 2014
This is a great product This is a great product I would recommend this to anyone. March 8, 2014
This product exceeds my expectations! Though it doesn't have alot of space, it fits extremely close to the body and I love that it clips in the front. This is exactly what I was looking for when riding to school. Stores 2 books and a laptop snug! February 25, 2014
Best back pack! This bag is comfortable and very durable. The bag looks cool and the reflective peices are great for visibility! February 17, 2014
High style and right-sized As with all of Icon's products, the styling on this backpack was top-notch. I chose the black for the overall look, and it is pretty much stealth with the exception of reflective elements (moot to me since I don't ride after dark, and don't recommend that anyone else do so either). I initially agreed with some of the other reviewers regarding the lack of multiple organization pockets, but honestly I don't ever use them effectively and so this is not really a problem for me. I especially like the electronics pockets on the front, which make access to my phone nearly immediate (without gloves). Great product. January 28, 2014

Joshua C: Love Icon and liked the reviews and shape, it still holds up great and is awesome for keeping the weight in the middle of my chest instead of on my shoulders Feb 28, 2014
Luke H: Needed a cool bag for everyday riding to work, and short trips to places or an overnight stay somewhere. Wanted to be able to stow it away very easily. Had a hard time choosing, but I think this is the bag for me. May get a bigger bag for longer trips as well. Feb 14, 2014
C O: Before I got my current bike (2011 Victory Vision) I didnt have any cargo capacity at all so I got this bag. I like the look of it, the little splashes of reflective tape, and it seemed pretty well made. BUT!!!! you can hardly fit anything in it. It doesnt expand very much at all. Couldnt even pack my heavy duty hoodie in it. Feb 12, 2014

A shopper asked: For commuting, can you fit laptop, iPad, lunch and shoes in this pack (all at once)? Feb 19, 2014

kevin s: I have owned this backpack for about a year and I can say that although I have not tried fitting those specific items in the bag, I would NOT COUNT ON IT fitting. I put a pair of shoes int his bag everyday when I go to work and have mere inches left on teh other pocket to stuff htings in.

I am confident that you could fit an Ipad and shoes in and MAYBE a little lunch (but nothing full-course).

And of relevance is that this pack is not very wide so the laptop question is best-answered with my asking you....how wide is your laptop? Cause this bag is only 8-8.5" wide....

Christopher A: Up to a 14" laptop and shoes will easily fit. There is a front pouch that fits my shoes. I am a size 10.5 mens just to get an idea. But I'm talking business shoes or sneakers, not workboots.
The laptop is snug. so I don't think a larger laptop would fit.
I don't have an ipad, but it seems it would fit but it would be tight in between the shoes and laptop.

You can probably fit a sandwich on top of the shoes. But not a major lunch lol

hope this helps :)

Alexander J: depends how big, the bag isn't huge. It will certainly fit your ipad and laptop. It would probably fit your shoes if you squish them, and your lunch if it was in a hard case it would probably squish anything soft. I use it to commute to work every day but I usually just have my lunch and a book. I've shoved a sweatshirt and sneakers in there once and they fit but it was tight.

Hope that was helpful, sorry there was some rambling.

Yi-Hsing C: It's possible to fit all of the above, though it would depend on how big your lunchbox is as it will be a tight fit, as for durability, if you plan on stuffing it to its limit or carrying heavy loads get a bigger bag. This bag is ripping at its seems for me already. Ps. The little storage pouch behind the top icon sign ripped 2 weeks into using it. Feb 19, 2014

TROY D: You can fit a laptop for sure, IPad for sure, and a small lunch, such as a sandwhich and juice box. However, shoes most likely not especially if they are nike sneakers or boots....definitely not. The pack is flat and compact. However, you could fit flip-flops with all of the rest of your goodies. I hope this helps!

Robert H: I actually tried this out for you. Technically, a laptop (Lenovo Yoga), a tablet (Sony Experia), shoes (loafers or light athletic shoes) and a light lunch WILL fit in the bag but it's going to be pretty full at that point, and not particularly light. Don't expect to get too much else in it. Feb 20, 2014

RICHARD D: Thanks for the responses...very helpful. I have a 13" Macbook Air and like Christopher A pack business shoes. I am currently using an Under Armor backpack. However, I wore it on Saturday here in PHX and it was warm; I might opt for a tank or tail or saddlebag solution instead. Feb 24, 2014

Kiron C: The short answer is no. I really like this pack & used it all last season to carry my lunch, iPad & water to work. It's on the small side & doesn't expand much.

I hope this helps.
