Didn't feel protected/too heavy for the desert I'd had these pants on my shortlist for awhile and when the price dropped, I leaped at the purchase. Plus, Revzilla had them in the lighter grey which was a plus for me. I ended up returning them the same day I received them as they just weren't right for me. I commute in the PHX area and wanted something to throw over slacks or shorts and offer protection. I also wanted something that breathed enough to wear in the summer. I can't recommend for my purpose. However, if someone needed warmer gear they could work. I'd still be concerned about the protection, though. These failed me for a few reasons: -too heavy; I couldn't imagine them in 100 degrees. Also, not enough ventilation -too baggy; I wear a 34, ordered 34. I think they were the right fit, but I don't believe the knee/shin protection would have been anywhere near my knee/shin in a fall February 19, 2014
Good S**t fit great, sizing was on point, was exactly what i was looking for. i use them for colder weather to break the wind and they work good, but still would have good enough airflow for warmer weather riding. adds a layer of comfort in adding extra protection April 1, 2014
Awesome entry level overpant I wear a 36" waist pant and ordered a 36. I'm 6' so the length is just right when on the bike. They slip on over my jeans easily, though I do have to take my shoes off. If they were big enough to go over my shoes they would be way to baggy in the leg. For this price it is an awesome product. March 10, 2014
Great pants, but way way too long. I bought my first motorcycle about 2 months ago, and thus these are my first pair of bike pants. Not much to say, the color is about right on the picture. I ordered the size 28 which is true to size in the waist. But the pants are a minimum 2" too long in the legs, mainly above the knee I think. The flexible CE armor in the knees is great, a total of maybe 6-8" long. When standing straight up, the top of the knee armor is at the center of my knee cap, and the bottom of the pants legs are more like socks. Because of the zipper at the bottom of the pants, hemming them is difficult. After hemming them up maybe an 1" - 1.5" the fit is okay enough on the bike as to not get in the way. (before hemming they could occasionally catch underneath the heel of my boot, no bueno) With my knees bent on the bike, the top of the armor is maybe 1" above my knee with the bottom around 3" below my knee. Overall I think these pants are good enough. I will eventually replace them at which point I will want to physically try on a few before purchasing one. January 7, 2014
Working as intended, but weak durability They look great, feel great, and are easy to get in and out of. They fit like overpants should, but they're about 4 inches too long for my 30" inseam while standing. For riding (the sole purpose of buying them in the first place) they look and fit perfectly. Walking around, however, they look like snowboarding pants on me and I'm forced to walk funny to keep them from dragging. I suppose I could take them to the tailor, but ain't nobody got time for that! Protection and durability are the weakest links here. There is no hip, thigh or butt armor. It comes with removable knee armor, but it's worthless given how long and baggy the pants are. Even if I could get the armor at the right height, it would just move around in the event of a crash and your knees would hate life at that point. I strap separate knee guards on underneath. Durability. I have owned these pants now for four months and commute in them every day. After two months, an outer seam in the leg started to come a part (almost an inch long) and has started to fray. One of the inner pockets has a hole in it somehow. I now have 50 cents jingle every time I take a step. It sounds like I'm wearing spurs now. The only efficient way to get my money out is to cut it out, but I won't do that because lawd only knows what kind of damage that may lead to in the future. Lastly, one of the two fasteners that attach the front closure system popped out. If the other goes, there's no way to keep my pants up unless I gain a few inches in my gut -- which I refuse to do, as awesome as that process may seem. Despite its flaws, for about a hunnit dollas, I'd still recommend them to others (with a word of caution to be nice to them). As long as the front closure system holds up, I'm sure they'll last me a while longer. February 6, 2014
Looks and fits great After reading about the overpants and how they may be too long for some, i was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger. After getting them on sale, i now wonder what took me so long. To me, fit is fine. Not too long and not too short. Leaves just enuff breathability that u may forget ur wearing overpants at all. Love icon gear, would recommend it to anyone looking for a pair December 17, 2013
Good...for the price Heavy material, but a little more drafty than expected. I don't recommend these for near-freezing temps, even if layering clothes. As mentioned by others, they are very long and do not have options to tighten around the ankles, so air can pass up the leg fairly easily. There are no zips other than pockets and down the ankles. The belt closure is decent, but I can understand how some have issues with it breaking. Someone said they are "very shiny"...but I wear them with a black, well-used tourmaster jacket, and they don't look like a terrible mismatch. December 2, 2013
Great pants! These guys fit nicely over my work pants and are protected in all the right places. Black color makes them look a little less baggy which is normal for an over pant. A good 3 season over pant or 4 season pant! January 15, 2014

R Benjamin K: There are 3 different pockets you can put the knee pads in. My inseam is about 31 and I feel that the pad in the pocket for the shortest position still rides a little below my knee. Dec 14, 2013

Barry M: They are removable from the inside in their velcro-secured pocket. There is a considerable amount of play while in place; not too much but enough to allow you to shift the curved pads higher or lower to fit your position. Dec 15, 2013

Carlo Z asked: are these waterproof? Aug 23, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Rob B: I've only been caught in rain twice in these pants and I've gotten wet each time. It seems like the main part of the pants are waterproof or at least resistant but there is a stretchy fabric that runs around the knees and inner thigh. This fabric is not waterproof and allows water in. I really like the pants but you can count on getting wet in any precip more than a light sprinkle. I ended up getting the Revit Pacific H20 rain suit to help out on rainy days. The overlords are great for dry days. Aug 26, 2013

Paul J: Not sure, as I try not to ride in the rain, but it appears to be where the textile parts are. in the crotch area, is a different material for breathability. That part might not be. Sep 29, 2013

Mario M: Hi Carlo,

I never used them in the rain. I do not believe they are waterproof. this price is very low for a waterproof pant.

Micah P: Not really, no. Decent rain will get you wet. Nice pair of commuting pants though. I'd buy mine again, just got ziplocks for putting stuff in my pockets. Aug 26, 2013

Adam R: No, the stretch panels are very breathable, which helps in the summer, but lets quite a bit of water through. Aug 26, 2013

A shopper asked: How does the grey color look in real life? It looks pretty ugly in the pictures.... Dec 29, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Anselm E: Not too bad, but that picture is a fairly accurate representation. It's a bit silvery, 'cause it's nylon and that tends to be a bit shiny, but it works.

Tend to run big. My jeans are normally a bit tight at 36, so wear a 38. Gotta pair of 34s in these, and they're a bit snug going on over the jeans, but fit well once they're on. Also: long. WIll drag when you're walking, but hike up just right on the bike.

Douglas B: It looks better then the picture. I like it a lot. It goes well with my black jacket. I didn't want black overpants. It's nice to be a little more visible plus they look cool. Jan 2, 2014

victor m: I have no problem. Matched a year old red jacket. Very comfortable fit when I used suspenders . Cleaned up real well after muddy rides. I would like to get another pair. Jan 3, 2014
Reply to victor Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Dayton P: I wouldn't say that it's ugly. It's more of a shiny silver color. In my opinion they look fine, but fashion is one thing that isn't as important to me. Jan 2, 2014

Yivan A: The colour is more silver than grey and is actually a bit shiny. Hope this helps. Jan 3, 2014

A shopper asked: What weight material is this? like 600d 500? Sep 23, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Dustiin H: I'd say 500d would be the thickest if that. It's a complete nylon chassis, fairly lightweight but if worn as an overpant they should provide plenty of protection compared to just wearing jeans. I'm liking them so far however I will say they are a bit slippery on my Corbin seat... Sep 27, 2013
Reply to Dustiin Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
A1 Locksmith attn: Chris C: I'm not sure what that 500 600 is but they are very sturdy and I'd recommend them for sure.

Great pants. Not flimsy or weak, I'd bet my life on em.
