Icon Overlord Sportbike SB1 Mesh Jacket

With all the pattern engineering of the Overlord leather, but executed in a mesh chassis, the Overlord Sportbike SB1 represents possibly the best value in textile motorcycle jackets. The durable mesh chassis provides valuable protection while maintaining comfort. External molded plastic armor increases the level of protection while a full complement of internal CE impact protectors confirm the jacket’s legitimacy. Finally, the Overlord’s precurved arms and strategic flex zones position the rider in a sportbike-oriented attack posture. The Overlord Sportbike SB1 Mesh–ready for whatever the streets may hold.

Armada Jacket Excellent Jacket, bought it for its protection and visibility. This is a summer jacket, fits me right Im 5"10 150, I wear a Medium perfect fitting. March 18, 2015
Fit The fit of this jacket is a little loose. I ordered a medium, but I was on the big side of small according to the size chart. I was told the jackets fit snug. So being that I live in Michigan we can have some chilly night I order a medium so I could wear a hoodie/long sleeve under the jacket. Looking back I should have just got the small, but I'm happy with my perches. I think I payed $110 for the jacket. I can't argue with that. Revzilla is the bees knees. ha March 9, 2015
Excellent Mesh Jacket This Icon Overlord Sportbike SB1 Mesh jacket has excellent features and breathability. Has vibrant colors and looks great. The size chart suggested I was a Large or X large with a 42 chest but medium fit perfect not snug. Great jacket !Great price! February 23, 2015
Comfortable, safe, and affordable The jacket is very comfortable. Air flow is good. Honestly if I ever got into an accident which hopefully I don't, this jacket would make a difference. December 22, 2014
Good Summer Jacket Got this jacket about a month ago perfect air flow only back protector gets a bit warm at low speeds cant say anything about winter as our winter here in Jeddah Saudi Arabia the lowest temperature is about 20C (68F) :) got a good deal on a sale December 15, 2014
Great Inexpensive summer weight jacket Ive been riding with this jacket for just over a month now. Style: The jacket looks great! I have the green version and it is highly visible. The shoulders are a bit bulky but the overall look of the jacket it great. Also had shoulder, elbow and back hard parts! Fit: Im 6 foot and wear a 38-40L jacket. The shoulders and chest fit perfect, the sleeves were really short on me though. With a pair of full gauntlet gloves you wouldnt be able to tell though. If i take out the liner I can throw on a hoodie and ride comfortably. Airflow: Its mesh, so it obviously has great ventilation. If its starting to get cool out, slip in the verst liner for extra insulation. But ones the sun goes down it gets really cold really quick. I usually wear a light windbreaker over it with a hoodie under on colder days and im fine. Pros: -Price (bought it on sale) -Aggressive cut/ colors and style -Great for a hot day especially in traffic -had hard parts included Cons: -Little insulation -Jacket seams are already fraying. Conclusion: Would I recommend this? Yes Its cheep, looks great, and has all the hard parts you need. Great for hot weather riding? Im not quite sure how long its going to last though. Cheers October 4, 2014
Great for the price Excellent airflow as long as you're moving. The back armor can get hot when at a standstill. That said, the fabric is highly effective to the point of being limited to summer use. It can be a bit chilly during early morning rides at higher speed. Very cool design with some added protection. Definitely recommend. October 4, 2014
Great look and fit! Overall the jacket fits well and the ventilation is great for those hot days. As far as durability goes haven't worn it long enough to know. Protection appears that it will be good although haven't been in a position to try it out (that's a good thing). September 22, 2014

My normal jacket, even with the lining removed, is way too hot and sometimes I am forced to ride without it which is not ideal. Eric C asked: I am very interested in this product! However, i am worried that it may be to cold to wear during spring and fall. I live in North West Ontario, Canada. The summer weather is typically 77ish fahrenheit give or take a little, spring and fall are about 60ish fahrenheit. I am wondering if this jacket will be able to carry through the spring and fall? (with or without a sweater underneath) Feb 28, 2014

mohamed h: Dear eric ,, i have this jacket and its good item , but its pure summer wheather
Its all mesh with high air flow ,even if u wear the inner liners , i used to wear it in a wheather ( 30th to 20th C centigrade ) but when it comes lower than this i think youwill freez with it

gabriel p: i've worn this jacket out in 20 something degree weather, i think YOUR FINE plus if you get to cold just put a hoodie on before your jacket Mar 1, 2014

daniel k: This jacket let's a lot of air through with or without the liner. The liner only covers the chest. If you don't mind cooler air flowing through then it is fine. In California I use it for most of spring and fall which is 60ish most times. Get a size larger if you want to wear a sweater underneath. It fits tight with a sweater underneath because of the aggressive shape of the arms. It's a very nice jacket but the pockets are a little on the small size. That is my only problem with it. Christopher J: Hey Eric, I have had mine for about 6 months now and I can tell you in does flow a ton of air and depending on your temperature tolerances it may be too cold in spring fall. I typically don't wear mine if it is below 70 as it gets too cold for my comfort. The interior jacket liner helps some but I couldn't see wearing this jacket in temperatures below 65.. Mar 2, 2014

Ronald J: Hello, I wear this jacket for the hottest days of summer in Maryland @ 70-90 deg. Any temperature under 70ish deg and I get cold at highway speeds. Full disclosure, I am cold natured. There is a ton of air flow with this jacket and no moisture resistance. I hope this helps. Mar 1, 2014

edson a asked: Ima 5"6 and weight about 151lbs, i plan to wear it all seasons, therefore it means that i will be wearing a hoodie under it on cold weather. that taken in consideration, would you recommend a size S OR M? May 22, 2014

d d: Unable to speak in performance at present without knowing your chest size it isn't clear in what size to advise you on. Based on chest size if 48" a 2XL is a good fit. Actually have a Contra that works in all seasons with a sweatshirt and thermal top at 32 degrees. The overlord is a mucho lighter jacket even with the best liner than the contra without the liner. Protection is great would recommend measuring your chest and purchasing accordingly. Also upgraded the back protection on both. Jun 1, 2014

Robert C: I'm 5'10" 155 - medium fits perfectly but i think it would be too snug on me with a hoodie or bulky sweater under. A Medium might be a bit long on your frame but with the tailored cut to the jacket, you may need it. Depends on whether you want a tad-too-big jacket for all of the times when you aren't wearing multiple layers. You may want to consider finding a separate cool-weather jacket instead. Good luck! James W: Well Edson, I'm 6'2" and weigh 245 lbs. and ordered a 2x and the jacket is just right for me. Even with a hoodie underneath the jacket is snug but thats the way i want it so theres no material flapping around. With that info i would suggest the medium for you. The jacket is awesome and if I say so myself I look like a badass in it. Hope this helps you. May 22, 2014

Ashley V: I bought this for my boyfriend he's 6" 2 190 pounds I got him XL knowing he'd need the length. He's very skinny so being its an XL its aa little baggy but with a hoodie on you don't even notice! So I'd say go one size bigger to have a little room to move! May 22, 2014

Ryan Z: It runs small, so go a size larger than what you think you would wear. I'm 6'2" 200lbs, normally wear a large in everything, but had to send it back and exchange for a XL. I'd go with a medium if I was you, but depends on your build. May 23, 2014

MEZAUGHN H: i never had or saw a contra jacket but i love this one. i wasnt big on wearing motorcycle jackets because of the bulky look but this one is really cool and fits well. i wear it without the elbow and shoulder pads, lol. im 6'.2" 170lbs and bought a med. May 19, 2014

Timothy R: Never had a Contra. I'd say similar. Maybe more slim around the waist. More of a sport fit. Jun 23, 2014

A shopper asked: I own an ICON Overlord Perforated Leather jacket (size M) and an ICON Overlord Textile jacket (size S), and both fit me perfectly. In fact, the fit is nearly identical between these two jackets. How does the fit on this (ICON Overlord MESH) jacket compare to either the perforated leather version, or the textile version? Joel R: I am 5'8, 180 pounds, 43inch chest.
When I seen the video breakdown on revzilla I believe the guy modeling it was 6 or 6'1, 44inch chest wearing a Lrg so I bought a Med. I exchanged it for a Lrg because I felt the Med was to tight around my armpits. The Lrg felt perfect but now I wish I would have kept the Med because the Lrg is broken in and fits a little loose.
I dont own either of the two other jackets but I hope this helps you decide. Great jacket by the way, perfect for summer.
