Icon Hooligan Riding Jersey

Not all athletes play in shining arenas. Not all pros enjoy the adoring gaze of the slack-jawed masses. Some of the best combatants can be found running the creosote-stained hardwoods of the urban court. For this arena, the uniform is the Hooligan Street Jersey. The relaxed fit, Fighter Mesh chassis, Field Armor impact protectors, and zip-off sleeves combine to create a willing partner for your headstrong drive into the paint. The streets play rough; the Hooligan Street Jersey plays rougher.

Big for a girl, but DAT AIRFLOW. I'm a 5'4" girl, and bought a small, it's obviously a little big (mostly just the arms are too long when standing, but fine on the bike) so I won't comment on the size. Other than that, I love this jacket! Summers in OK are killer and this jacket makes me feel like it's eternally spring. It's amazing how much cool air flow this jacket *creates.* I normally pop on a sweatshirt when temps are 40-50ish, but above that I'm fine. Protection wouldn't be great as far as collision goes, but I would trust this jacket if I ended up sliding. Pockets are perfect, zipper is great. Would buy again! Icon - I would buy the bejesus out of this if you made it in women's sizes and cut - with THESE color choices - no more pink/purple/icky light blue please! Patriot all the way! March 2, 2015
Great summer jacket. Great jacket for the price. Fits me pretty comfortable. Would recommend wearing for summer use only cause this one has lots of airflow. February 23, 2015
Large and loose but great the jacket is very large nearly 2 sizes too big, I wear an XL in Fulmer jackets (6'2 189lbs), so got a large but a medium I feel would have been the best option. other than that its great, awesome air flow, comfortable, and good padding. although you need to buy a proper back plate. February 12, 2015
Like the feel and looks Love the look and feel of the jacket looking forward to warm weather to ride in. I wore thus far at 45 degrees in morning with thermal shirt and was ok but not recommended. In After noon it worked great in 60 degree. Love the look and color. This will be great jacket for Vegas heat. February 2, 2015
didn't like the shape It's kind of "bell" shape. Thin in the elbows and too wide in the hips. Still good product. December 20, 2014
Where Was This Last Summer? As much as I enjoy the videos, when it's time to open the wallet I turn to the reviews. Actual riders with real experience with the product are what sways me. And this time, as usual, they are on the money. I am 6' 225lbs with broad shoulders. I wear 38" waist jeans and 2 XL sweatshirts. I got a 2 XL jersey and the fit is right on. All my other jackets are 3 XLs but this one does run large. It is boxy, but so am I apparently, because it fits great, comfortable with all the armor where it belongs. I agree with the majority here, order a size down. It's cold here now, and the wind whips right through this jacket. Not so great getting the mail in December, but I am sure that wind will be appreciated in 95 degree July. Airflow is excellent. I ordered the red, white, and blue colorway. It is quite bright and should both reflect the sun away and make me more visible to traffic. This is a light jacket compared to a leather or thicker textile. It is not the most protective garment available by any measure. This is for hot weather riding. The shoulder and elbow pads are solid, but I may upgrade them. The installed back pad is a place-holder only and I installed my Icon Stryker back plate, minus the straps. This is one of the most substantial back guards made and costs almost what this jersey does. I rotate the Stryker among three jackets so the dollar hit is spread around. The Klim D3O is also an acceptable, lighter and less expensive alternative. It's nice to have choices. Being ATGATT I would not ride sleeveless, but another reviewer's idea of taking them off at a destination for more comfort is a good one. Overall this is a fantastic riding jacket for the money. My experience with Icon goods has been positive. I think this one is a home run. December 17, 2014
Amazing Airflow Perfect summer riding jacket. I live in Okinawa and it gets miserable at times during the summer. This jacket really helps keep the air flowing and my temperature down. The shoulder pads are a bit bulky with a backpack, but you can adjust them as needed. December 1, 2014
Pros and Cons As a teen hooligan it is easy to say this jacket was the right fit. For the price, you cannot argue with this jacket. The airflow is rediculously good. Warning do not wear in rain at night, you will freeze. Wearing something under this jacket is really easy. I only have one gripe, the elbow inserts: they fit to my elbow very well and the forearm inserts fall in the same category. BUT, they often get in the way while putting on extra clothing and sometimes it is difficult to wear my jacket underneath when it starts getting cold. Once it is on, no problems noted. If this is your first jacket, get it. If it is a light jacket for the late summer into early fall, get it. As usual, Icon provides great products for the price. Take that detail to your advantage. Alexander H asked: I was wondering if this jacket will have the newest shoulder, elbow, and back armor that icon has just released? They said that there new armor is now standard in all jackets and I just wanted to clarify if it was for this site. Aug 16, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Christopher J: No. it's not the absolute "newest" armor. The jacket came out before the new D30 armor came out. Relatively the armor in this jacket is its newest. If you want to look at it that way. The armor in this jacket is called "Field armor". The newest icon armor on the market is the D30 armor. Hope that helps. The armor is stout. I took out the back protector because its too hot. Once the temp drips below 87 F ill put it back in. The shoulder armor feels great. The elbow/forearm protector floats around a bit. Nothing a quick needle and thread can't fix though. Aug 16, 2013

Richard D: I'm not sure what constitutes 'new'. I bought mine in April. It does come with armor. The pads say "Field Armor" on them. They certainly appears sufficient for a mesh type of jacket, however old or new they are. For what it's worth, I love this jacket and feel that it provides an adequate amount of protection for such a light and breathable piece of gear. Hope this helps. Aug 16, 2013

John L M: The shoulder and elbow pads aren't the new pads but are very good. The back pad is not so good and should be replaced with D30 pad. The elbow and shoulder pads are still comfortable and provide very good protection for a lightweight summer mesh jacket. Aug 16, 2013

Cary I: When I bought my jacket the newest armor was not available yet, but the new armor does fit the jacket. I got an email from Icon offering the new armor for sale. I would not be surprised if the new armor comes with the jacket. Aug 16, 2013

Efrain A: Yes, the shoulders and elbows have the newest armor in this jacket, however the back is supplied with a dual density foam pad. It is comfortable but you can purchase and replace it with the CE back field armor. Aug 20, 2013

DAVID P: I bought mine about a month ago from Revzilla. I can't comment on the shoulder or elbow armor, but the back armor is really just a thin foam pad. I do love this jacket though! Aug 16, 2013

Cary I: I have the Patriot jacket, so its mostly white and doesn't seem to have any special reflective material. I would hope that the darker ones have reflective material. May 15, 2014

John W. W: They fit true to size. I'm 6'5" 42 in chest and a 35 ish waist large fits me fine, even in the arms. This is a great summer jacket, i'm in Vegas, this jacket helps a lot. Breaths very well, protection is good. Jun 25, 2014

Alsharif A asked: In the video they mentioned the guy wearing the jacket has 42inch and is wearing size M. Is this accurate? According to the size chart he should be in L. I have a 41 inch chest and I'm wondering if medium would be fine also. Thx! Apr 23, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Wayne J: Sorry, don't agree with John W. These definitely run a size larger than the chart. I'm 5'10", 42" chest, 36" waist and I'm wearing the MED with plenty of room to spare. They call this "relaxed fit" and that's exactly what it is. I have room to put a sweat-shirt or other relatively heavy gear on under if it gets chilly while I'm wearing it. If you're anywhere near my size (or the guy in the video) a MED would do you fine. I talked to one of Zilla's tech guys before purchasing, he suggested MED, and he was correct. Jul 8, 2014

John W. W: Go with the large, I'm 6'.5" 41" chest and if fits fine, even the sleeves fit, and the armor is in the right spot. Apr 26, 2014

A shopper asked: I am 6" tall 175lb, usually wear Large size riding jackets. But i really need to know if a LARGE size for this jacket is my size.
I have a Icon Raiden Patrol jacket and a Olympia Moab jacket both are LARGE.
The Icon fit is on the roomy side and the Olympia just fit me right.
Please let me know wich size I have the choose for the Hooligan Street Jersey.
