Highly recommended
I am 5' 2", 130lb. Medium frame, hourglass figure. I have a 34" bust, 26" waist, and 36" hips. I bought a size small. I would advise you to stick to the sizing guide for this jacket. Forget other clothing sizes you wear, just follow Icon's sizing guide.

This jacket fits great. Love how its slightly longer in the back to prevent flashing other motorists! And the sleeves do not ride up and expose my wrists when in riding position. The collar is not aggressive and uncomfortable, its perfect.

I have not worn it on my bike yet as it is still Winter in CT with a lot of salt and sand down, so I will check back and provide another review in the Spring/ Summer, but after reading a lot of other reviews and watching YouTube videos of this jacket, I'm sure it will have great air flow in the warmer temps, and keep me warm with the liner installed and maybe a light hoody underneath in cooler temps.

I know appearance/ style and trying to land a feminine fitting jacket should be last on the list when searching for protective gear, but nonetheless it is a factor, and this one wins, hands down.. without compromising protection, durability and comfort.

The armor seems tough, hopefully I will never have to test it out, but its there incase I need it. And it is not too bulky looking or feeling. The jacket is very comfortable.

Check out my pictures, the jacket fits and looks great.

Thanks a lot guys!

PERFECT FIT, PERFECT STYLE-- CAN'T ASK FOR MORE!
This jacket is INCREDIBLE! I am 6'0", a little over 200 lbs with a large bust-- needless to say, I'm not easy to fit! With a long torso and long arms, I had almost given up on short, boxy women's sizes and was about to resign to a men's jacket (none of which are cut for a woman's body and fit terribly, a sacrifice I was willing to make just for proper coverage). However, after doing some Googling in women's forums, I discovered that Icon is a great brand for women and offers a little more arm and torso length than other brands. I had tried EVERYTHING else, so I decided to give this a shot, and I'm so glad I did! Upon measuring my bust and hips and finding I was between sizes, I purchased a 2X to be on the safe side and actually ended up needing to exchange for a size down. I could probably get away with a size L on a good day, but I am a size 14 and the size XL fit perfectly with room for layering without being sloppy if I don't wear a sweatshirt underneath. This jacket offers wonderful spine, shoulder and elbow protection which all hit in just the right places, and has a removable liner which allows you to warm up or cool down depending on the weather. I think this jacket is the one I'll be wearing all spring and summer, into early fall! I've read that the pink color fades easily, but I'm almost looking forward to it. The pink is VERY neon, but I still find it tasteful and subtle compared to other choices on the market. The fit is very flattering, also, with a defined waist and bust without sacrificing any practicality or protection. Absolutely a win-win.

Important to note:

- Arms are VERY long. This is a great feature, because when my arms are extended on the handlebars, they STILL cover the tops of my gloves or more. If you're a tall girl, this is the jacket for you!

-Jacket is longer in the back. Lower back protection and no plumber's crack!

-Sides cinch in. This jacket runs true to size or a little large depending on your shape. Order your regular size and cinch in on the sides if need be.

- The arms are very tight near the wrist and somewhat loose near the top. This allows for warmth AND mobility, but may be uncomfortable in the lower arm if you order a size that verges on too small.

- Many women's clothing items are cut for a size small woman, and then expanded by a couple of inches all the way around as the sizes grow larger. For anyone who has a grasp on biology, this is clearly NOT how bodies work. Bigger girls are shaped differently, and Icon clearly knows their stuff-- this feels like it was cut for me. That NEVER happens!

This may be the excited, rarely-satisfied tall girl talking, but I am BEYOND thrilled that not only did I find a jacket that fits me, but it's a flattering, stylish, comfortable, high quality jacket that I'll own until it wears out, and then replace it with the same one! Absolutely cannot say enough good things about this jacket. Watch the review video and you'll be sold, too!

The arms on this jacket run skinny
I ordered this jacket after a lot of research. I'm a gear head and super picky but the Contra fit the bill on price and most importantly protection. I am 5'9 145lbs, used the size chart and waited for it to show up in the mail. As soon as it came I tried it on in the PO. The medium fit perfectly, except the arms. There is a seam that runs across the fore arm that makes it almost impossible to be in the riding position. Even without the liner in it made me feel like my hands might go numb from it. If you have slender arms this jacket is great. The fit is long in the torso and arms, not a ton of room if you are busty(I'm not), and great protection(if you upgrade the back pad which seems standard). Hope this is helpful

Good jacket
I love my jacket, after wearing it a few times it has really "grown" on me.Very true to size. I just wish there were a couple more pockets on the inside of the coat. Other than that I love this jacket.

Great versatile jacket
I bought this jacket when the Florida heat was still in full swing, and now that it's late October I can safely say that this jacket will work for me. With the liner taken out I really feel the wind and it hardly feels like I'm wearing a jacket (as long as I'm moving). With the liner in I've been handling the 50 degree mornings just fine. I think with a base layer and this jacket, I'll be ready for the colder days. I'm 5 foot 7 and 145 lbs, the medium fits me perfectly. The sleeves are long enough which was a huge concern of mine, and I love that the jacket is longer in the back. I'm pretty happy with the jacket overall!

Love it!
I Love this Jacket. I am usually a size 8, Australian, and I got the XS. I have not worn it with the inner jacket yet because it has been 40 degree heat. But I must say that wearing it in such intense heat was great! Loads of airflow. It is a good fit, not too tight, in fact it could probably be tighter and I wouldn't mind. I bought the Black/Pink, and I love it so much that I am going to buy the Silver as well. Fantastic motifs, design, colours.,, I highly recommend this jacket.

Great First Jacket
I'm 5'10", weigh 140 lbs, have a 28 " waist and 34 DD chest. I bought a medium because of my bust and was certainly glad I did so. A medium fits perfectly over the ladies but the waist and arms are a little bit big, and it doesn't have straps to adjust. The fit reminds me of my Fox ATV jacket, it has relatively minor "female curvature". I'm highly impressed by its breathability and the protection is awesome. I live in Oregon so I'm into reping local gear designed in the NW weather. I rode first day I got it and it was about 55 degrees F and I wasn't chilled at all. Jacket has mediocre pockets, my iPhone with a larger case doesn't fit perfectly in the hand pockets but I make due. It also came with a few loose threads which I stitched or cut to ensure they wouldn't get caught in zippers. Has absolutely ZERO irritation in the neck area. The way the collar was designed is perfect! No scratchy Velcro or zippers biting your throat. Overall, I highly recommend this jacket and believe I got what I paid for!

Great Jacket but Size Up
When I went to purchase this jacket, I looked at the Size Chart and other reviews, and as usual I was left to try and figure it out on my own. I wear a Size Large in shirts and am a 36C in the bust and 5'8" tall. However, I have extremely broad shoulders and muscular arms and a tapered waist. I purchased the 2XL in this jacket and absolutely loved the fit. I could have sized down to the XL but I wanted the extra room to wear a fleece or hoodie on cooler riding days. The jacket has features galore and all of the stitching looks great. The sleeve length was great, which is a bonus because I have long arms, so this may be an issue for others. I had to snug the waist in all the way and still had plenty of room inside the jacket. The overall length of the jacket was great too...not too short while riding and I wore it with a pair of Scorpion Savannah II pants. We rode all day in 60 degree temperatures and I wore a light fleece underneath. I stayed extremely warm (almost too warm), but was able to vent the jacket. Bottom line, I would recommend ordering up one size from your normal sizing. Again, I could have stayed with the XL and probably been okay, but with my extreme broad upper body and my desire to be able to layer I went with the 2XL. All of the padding and safety features were right where they needed to be without added bulk. This jacket is well worth the money and looks great and performs well!

I just ordered the Icon Alliance Crysmatic helmet in pink , and I was wondering if anyone knows if the pink in this jacket is the same shade? I'm kinda crazy when it comes to matching things like that so I just want to be sure it's the same color in both items before ordering.
A shopper on Apr 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I purchased the jacket for my Sister in Law because I had bought the Male version & I was impressed, so I went with this one. I never bought the helmet but from the picture it looks like they do match up.
Is the liner full-sleeve or a vest?
A shopper on Nov 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It is a full sleave liner. My wife does OK with it down to 60s. Below that it is still too cold.
I'm 5'7" 170lbs and usually wear a size medium. Looking at the size chart, it's recommends a large for a bust of 39" which is what I'm measuring at. I'm worried if I do get the large it'll be too baggy around my abdomen. What are your suggestions for fit?

Also, it says a M/L sleeve length is 30"/30.5", where is that measuring from?
A C on Apr 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I ended up needing a medium, I'm 5'7 and 140 with a 36" bust. It is not baggy in the abdomen, it has a nice women's cut tailor. I don't know where the sleeves are measured from but it should be the edge of the shoulder. My sleeves are at my wrists when I have my hands on the handlebars.
Am I crazy or are the lower arms of this jacket really tight? I am a new rider, is that how most jackets fit, or should i get the next size up?
A shopper on Aug 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They are snug, for this jacket it's how it fits. If you go up a size you may get bigger sleeves but you will also get a bigger, baggier body.
Just purchased it for my wife from revzilla and i am waiting for shipping. Does this have any reflective material in the front/back/anywhere?
ashok M on May 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There is no reflective material on the back at all. The Icon on the front is a little reflective. This is the nicest jacket that they currently have out there as I refuse to purchase a white jacket because they are not very forgiving to withstand the test of time in looking well for long. All in all I love the jacket and it is a lot more comfy than my leather.
I notice this jacket is not included in the summer weather jackets. Do you think it is too heavy for summer riding in New England? Thanks!
A shopper on May 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This jacket is great for summer I have a leather for winter and I bought this one for simmer. It is great for hot weather or even fall due to the removable liner. It breathes a lot!
How can I become a Revzilla model? :p
Marisol M on Apr 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Sorry cannot help with this. I do not work for Revzilla. Good Luck.
Is the fit of this jacket considered attack or sport?
A shopper on Feb 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: More of a sport fit.
Is there any way to upgrade to the Stryker CE certified back protector?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this will slide into the Icon Women's Contra Jacket and most other Icon jackets. Just make sure you don't forget to remove the straps. Bet that would be a bit uncomfortable. On another positive, if you keep the straps on, this can be worn as a stand along with nearly any other jacket you could imagine, as long as the jacket is not too snug.
Which back armor protector insert is the best for this jacket please? I'm using one that fits from another jacket, but I think it makes this jacket too tight. Thanks!
