Helped my new Icon Helmet fit better I bought a new Icon Alliance helmet and it was just a bit too tight , so I ordered the smaller cheek pads and now my helmet is a lot more comfortable. October 12, 2015
Great pads!! Replaced my old check pads on my 2xl helmet and ordered the 2xl and now i have a new helmet per say. Thank you Icon for giving us riders that option of have just the pads replaced. May 4, 2015
good item Hi you already have my husband's email iandreed1@gmail.com on your mailing list. 'he is very satisfied with the product and is thinking about getting the complete inners very soon for the top of the helmet. thank you February 1, 2015
Perfict fit, snapped right in. No much to saw about replacment Cheek pads. They were the right fit, easy to replace snapped right in. December 23, 2014
Like New Again I bought my Icon helmet 5 years ago. Since owning the helmet I've lost a bunch of weight and the helmet got loose on me. I was looking at buying a new helmet when I came across replacement inner lining for my helmet and thought why not. I ended dropping my helmet one size and the fitment was perfect and easy. Now I have a helmet that looks and smells brand new and I kept the old lining just in case I ever need a bigger helmet again. I couldn't be happier. September 15, 2014
Better fit now... Purchased L size helmet and the top of the head fit fine, but was too tight around the face. Purchased these cheek pads instead of returning helmet for a larger size. Result = worked perfectly. July 14, 2014
Size correction. I bought an XL Icon Alliance helmet last Xmas. I've worn XL in a half dozen other brands of helmets, and my measurements on the Icon chart indicates XL as well. When I got the helmet, it was a little tight when wearing, and difficult to take on and off. Rather than returning it, I decided to see if it would break in. You guessed it, months later it's still too tight. Ordered up these pads in XXL to change the size of the helmet. They're a little fussy to get properly installed, but take your time to get them properly clocked and aligned and they fit fine. Increases the size of the neck opening slightly too, making helmet on/off less of a chore. April 7, 2014
perfect replacement These perfectly replace the pads that my helmet came with. Nice to have 2 sets so that I can still use my helmet when waiting for one pair to dry July 29, 2013

John J: I was getting some pretty significant jaw pain from wearing my Icon Alliance Helmet on my first few rides wearing this helmet (Bought a 2XL). Purchased the 3XL Cheek Pads and am hoping for a better fit. From what I have read there are others like me. Apr 27, 2015

Willis M: for my son. Apr 30, 2014
I S: I bought an alliance dark size XL which is the size I normally buy for everything, but the cheeks are just too tights and getting the helmet on and off its a hassle, hopefully this will make it fit much better. Apr 11, 2014
Thomas H: Needed a smaller set of pads for my Alliance dark helmet. Mar 13, 2014
Evelio M: Helmet was a little loose so needed thicker pad Oct 2, 2013
K Y: Totally worth 20 bucks to have a spare set so you can keep riding! After a good washing, I've noticed these take about a day and a half to dry where I live. I can't go that long without hopping on the bike, and 20 bucks for pads is better than 200 for a helmet. Sep 18, 2013
ryan p: helmet didnt fit after pads broke in Sep 12, 2013
A shopper asked: i have a new icon alliance torrent helmet thats a xl got it in a trade but my head fitment is a large 59-60cm and the xl is a 62 if i buy the replaceable hydra cheek and head liner for it in large would it work? Oct 8, 2013

Joshua H: You'd need to make sure the shell size is the same - I found a link indicating that on the Alliance SSR the Large and XL are the same shell size, but I can't find any documentation indicating whether they do. It's advertised that the Alliance has 4 shell sizes, but not which sizes fall into each shell size.

I'd suggest contacting Icon directly. They're reputed to have great customer service.

Lawrence K: ... I purchased a large Icon helmet and then after consulting with RevZilla staff concerning the fit (who were very, very helpful btw) I purchased a set of cheek pads for a medium helmet and they worked perfectly. In all likelyhood the original pads would have fit after they were broken in, but I'm happy with the medium size regardless ... Oct 8, 2013

Scott A: Probably since the L and XL are the same - 25mm. I don't know if it will take up the extra space you may have for an XL esp if you are a large. I did like having the new ones because the helmet fit that much better. Over time the pads degrade and aren't as snug. Oct 8, 2013

Emanuel B: It should. Most helmets are actually only two or three sizes, with the intermediate sizes made up by different padding. My XXL helmet was too tight around the jawline, so I switched the cheek pads to those for a XXXL - now the fit is perfect! Oct 11, 2013

A shopper asked: I have a size medium Alliance and it fits great... Except for the cheek pads, which are a bit too small. Would I be able to correct that by changing the size of the cheek pads? Oct 28, 2015

Gabriel C: Heck yes! I bought a medium and i ran a bit too tight around the cheecks so injust ordered myself a smaller pair of cheek oads and problem solved. Oct 29, 2015

Christian B asked: I just recently bought the iicon Alliance helmet in a size Large and it fits great around my head but once it gets to my cheeks it feels a bit too tight. To get a slightly looser fit am I supposed to buy the medium cheek pads or the XXL cheek pads? I'm a bit confused on which size would make the cheek pads smaller because it shows a smaller measurement for the XXL (20 mm) than it does on the medium (30 mm). May 27, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Brett O: You want the XXL if you want a looser fit. The 20 and 30 mm are referring to the thickness of the cheek pad. So the XXL at 20mm is thinner than the medium at 30mm. Hope this helps! May 27, 2015

A shopper asked: I have an SSR helmet that needs new pads and I understand that Icon doesnt make the SSR pads anymore. Will the regular Alliance pads work in its place? Jan 28, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The Icon Alliance and the Icon Alliance SSR do not share cheekpads or top comfort liners. They are not interchangeable, and Icon is no longer making replacement parts for the SSR at this point. Additionally, our supplier doesn't have any replacement parts in stock either, so sourcing them would not be possible. Jan 30, 2013

A shopper asked: If i wanted to get bigger cheek pads should i go smaller in size? For instance, if i have a small helmet but the cheek pads are a bit loose should i I get the XS =40mm or should i get a larger size? Jun 27, 2015
