Icon Airmada Salient Helmet
Overall an amazIng helmet
I've used this helmet riding on the road, on dirt, and karting, and its handled everything I've thrown at it so far. I haven't had a spill yet so I don't know about the protection, but I have no reason to doubt it.
The only complaints I have is the visor hinge seems a little cheap, it felt like it was going to snap when I change visors as well as moving the visor to different heights requires a but of effort, but I think that is from not opening it enough, as i usually keep it closed or one notch open.

Great helmet for the sale price. Cool design and plenty of airflow.
Picked up a green Airmada salient at a sale price of 150 dollars as a spare helmet to my Icon Alliance.
The reviews said this helmet fits narrow and they were right. Ordered an XL and it is tighter than I would like on my cheeks but I'm hoping once it breaks in it gets better.
Noise is better than on my Alliance but still noticeable at speeds of 50+ mph.
Visor pivots feel cheap and rough. It is not a smooth transition from open to closed.
Airflow is great however. Helmet stays very cool.
The graphics on the helmet rub off very easily. I've attached a photo of the salient graphic on the back rubbing off on my very first ride with it. Totally unacceptable from Icon.
For the sale price I am happy but do have some complaints with quality. I do not think I will be buying another Icon helmet after this.

Helmet has everything needed to ride day to day. It does fit a a size smaller than I'm used to considering I'm a Medium in AGV but with the Airmada I am a Large. The helmet fits very snug and with some break in time for the pads it the fit gets better over time. Well vented and easy access but the vent for the defogger can be hard to get to with a glove hand at times as well as the brow vents but isn't to bothersome after you learn tricks. If you get the Salient color scheme though make sure to use that helmet sock a lot the finish comes off pretty easily. Not a problem for me but just for someone who wants to preserve the design. Had it for about 3 months now riding with it every time I ride and couldn't be more happier. The price is right, quality is awesome and its pertty. :)

Got on sale for a good price as a passengers helmet
Helmet is very narrow and tight fitting but it fits great on girlfriends head. She has no pressure points and the ride was nice and quiet when i used the helmet.

In love with this product!!!
The first thing that caught my eye was the graphics of the helmet. I immediately fell in love with it when i saw it online and I fell in love with it more when i received it. The airflow in the helmet is pretty good an the vision is outstanding. This helmet is a great pick for the price of it. With this being my first helmet I am pretty happy about this purchase and I am looking forward to buy more Icon helmets in the future.

Es un buen casco, muy cómodo, no me molesta en absoluto ninguna parte de mi cabeza, ajusta muy bien, la visión con la mica es excelente, muy claro, y no se empaña para nada, a parte el diseño es único y muy original.

Safe, looks good, great vision
This helmet is definitely worth the cost. For a sub $200 helmet you get more features than most. Awesome vents, especially living in Texas and dealing with the heat, vents come in handy since there are so many. First time putting it on it was REALLY tight but it loosened up and formed to my head quick. Visibility is great, big visor, looks sick.

Great bang for the buck
I bought an Airmada Gloss Solid back in January after my old Arai Quantum II finally bit the dust. Coming from a near $600 helmet to this sub $200 helmet was a bit of a jump but not as bad as you would think.
The fit: I have a bit of a wide oval shaped head so this helmet is tough to get on, but once you get in there it has a surprising amount of room on the inside. Cheek pads are snug but that's fine with me. Unlike my old Arai which had a tendency to move around on my head at triple digit speeds, the Airmada stays firmly planted.
Noise level: Loud. This baby howls and sings to you at speed, the venting on the inside of the chin-bar doesn't really do anything to help this and once you get into the triple digits this thing makes a hellish racket from the side pods. I normally ride with earplugs in though so this isn't even noticeable.
Weight: It's lite, not AGV Pista GP lite, but still lite. Gotta love it.
Vision: Nice and wide viewing angle, good height of the shield too. No complaints here.
As for features, what really drew me to this helmet was the small vent just above the face shield. I've had this feature on helmets in the past and I can't imagine living without it. The way it eliminates fog is just spectacular. I purchased an iridium silver shield and second set of side pods to go along with the supplied clear shield and after about two tries of practice, shield changes are a breeze. (Take note here Arai, simpler is better).
Overall i'm very satisfied with my Airmada and would recommend one to anyone looking for a fully featured helmet on a budget.
