Icon Airframe Construct Helmet
I loved the helmet! It was my first helmet specifically for riding and i adored it. Looks cool, feels great, and air flow is fantastic. Sadly, after a month or so of having it I was side-swiped by a buddy because we were being hooligans. The helmet is certainly still usable but I bought and Icon Airmada to replace it just in case the structural integrity was goofed up. I love the airflow but the shape was a little too round for me. Badass helmet, definitely would buy again if they made it in long oval. Construct is badass.

An amazing first helmet
I just started riding recently and this is the first helmet that I bought for myself and I love it. At first it was a little too snug, and I have a big dome for a little guy, but after a while of wearing it, it became extremely comfortable and fits just right. I love the exposed material design and with the dark smoke visor, this makes me feel amazing wearing it. Changing visors was really tough, almost thought I broke the mechanism, but it fits and there's no wiggle or play to the visor when it's in there. It makes me look a little bit like a bobble head, but at least I look like a cool bobble head.

I bought this helmet because its different, and I love it! Its very light and very comfortable, but you can expect the best because its an Icon! The smoked shield just adds to the look and is awesome! I have another Icon helmet and I'm not sure if I'm going to wear it again after wearing this helmet! If your looking for a top of the line helmet for a decent price, here ya go! Great helmet all around!

Sturdy but loud
Got the Airframe (though differently coloured, but that makes no sense in terms of usability) last season, worn it for about 6k miles until a crash into the "guillotine" bump.
Style, vision and ventilation are as good as every Icon helmet provides, that's the job Icon guys always do well. I'd rate this one 5*, but the single thing about this helmet is that it's LOUD. Extremely. You might not even notice that feature if you're wearing it just at the track or for daily "home to office and back" commuting, as every other way it's the perfect helmet, but it does make difference on a highway without strict speed regulation, especially on those longer trips. After 100 miles of such a ride your single desire will be to stop and trash this whistling plastic torture. Noise comes to reasonable levels with upper vents closed though, but it's not the solution within a long ride, especially on the colder night rides, when antifog works at the edge of its capability.
On the other hand, every other feature is good and the price is highly affordable. The choice is up to you, though i wont buy the same one, even keeping in mind that it saved my head once.

best bang for your buck.
The helmet vents very well. The noise level is kind of high, but not bad. The helmet runs kind of small. For example I'm usually a medium and opted for the large which fits perfect. Overall great helmet for the price.

Overall a great helmet. Had to return the first one and buy a size larger because it fits fairly tight. Haven't ridden with it for more than 90 minutes, but feels fine for that amount of time. Cools down quickly with vents open, but can also be very loud especially at highway speeds.

commuters should reconsider the Airframe
The Airframe in my opinion is an excellent race helmet, but fails for a number of reasons for daily commute or long-haul rides.
1. this helmet is tight. the strap is about an inch shorter as well. After one year of use it doesnt really "loosen up." if you have glasses, they will start to become painful after an hour of riding.
2. this helmet is loud, despite the chinskirt. the 20mm top airducts, while a blessing on a hot day in traffic, will roar on the highway and must be closed. Even with earplugs this helmet is noisy.
3. At 70mph the chinskirt can exacerbate the aerodynamics of the helmet, creating a rather unnerving vacuum. The front vent may be open, as well as the top vents, however most of the air is being drawn back down through the neck. this makes for generally laboured breathing.
4. the chin, as with most race helmets, comes up nearly 1" higher than its counterpart the alliance. not a pro or a con here, just something to be aware of.
5. the air-foil atop the helmet is wonderful for taking high speed corners and blasting down the racetrack. it resists buffeting, but is a horrible idea for commuters and long riders as it makes it brutally hard to turn your head and check a lane before merging.
6. the field of vision is about 20% narrower than the alliance.
in my opinion commuters and longer riders are going to be happier with the alliance. the helmet is larger, more plush, and offers a much more luxurious field of vision. The weight difference between the airframe and the alliance is not appreciable.
