Icon Airframe / Alliance Chin Curtain
And they said it couldn't be done... :P
Confession time! I bought this chin curtain because the Icon Airmada Salient Helmet I bought here on Revzilla does not come with nor is a chin curtain even offered for it and I wanted to see if I could modify this one to work. :D
I can say that if you are handy with a pair of scissors and have some time on your hand you can definitely make the modifications necessary to fit this to the Icon Airmada Salient Helmet.
If you aren't handy and end up muffing it up you are only out a few bucks... ;)

As others have stated, it doesn't fit the Alliance Helmet
You can force it in about halfway or trim the plastic to make it work, but this clearly isn't meant for this helmet and shouldn't be advertised as such. It's only $7.00 so I don't think it's worth returning or making a fuss about, but I wish I had read all of the reviews first to at least be prepared for an annoying install.

This one piece has made the biggest difference with the amount of air flowing through my helmet. My phone calls, through my headset are clear and anyone can understand what's being discussed without interference from the wind.

Works, wiith a Couple Caveats
This chin curtain is great for what it is; however, if you are purchasing this for a helmet in the Alliance line, be warned - you will have to trim the plastic part to make this curtain fit.
Also, it does take some time/work to get this into a position where it feels secure, and flush. I haven't taken it off my Alliance Dark since I trimmed it as it really isn't "in the way" and does help with airflow/noise.

does what its supposed to
so i will start with the negative just to get it out of the way. I had to trim the piece that slips into the helmet for whatever reason it wouldnt go in no matter how hard i tried, and i had to cut a good deal off. That being said after i slowly trimmed little by little off to get an exact fit, i havent had it fall out yet. i mainly got this because i have a sena and wanted to keep wind noise out of my mic and it works great. it is perforated so it will allow some air inside so you dont sweat but it diverts it just enough to keep it from my mic. overall it does what its supposed to do and im happy with the purchase.

Does it's job.
Requires a little elbow grease to install, but works as designed. For colder weather, I would prefer that it was a little more closed off, but I suppose that would make the helmet more difficult to put on. It cuts the wind significantly, so no complaints!

Cut Down on Wind
Once I got it to fit, this definitely cut down on the amount of the wind that would come in to my helmet thru the bottom. really helps on the cold nights of riding home and to and from events.

Nice add on for small price
Ordered this chin curtain with the same order as my Alliance helmet. AS others have stated, it took some time to work this onto/ into the helmet, but once it is there it feels secure. I installed this the day i received the helmet, so i cannot compare before and after...i will say however the combination of helmet and chin curtain have cut down on road noise and wind on my chin and face when riding at speed. I cannot speak to durability of the product as of yet since it has only been "put in service" for about a month. The materials seem of high quality especially for an $8-9 price-point. It is the fal/ winter months now, and without this helmet and chin curtain i would be frozen. Recommend
