Icon 1000 Ultra Tube Scarf
Icon 1000 Tube Scarf, a must have!
I recieved this scarf as a birthday gift from my wife in October, just in time for the cooler riding season as I ride year round. It seals very well against the bottom of my Icon Variant helmet. It also seals very well against my leather riding coat, keeping that cold high speed breeze out. When I remove my helmet, I have the scarf folded in half to thicken it up, I use it as a head warmer, very much like the Mambosok style hats that were such a craze for a while. It folds up well and is easily storable in a pocket or compartment on my bike. Many others have commented on it and wanted one as well. I only wish it were offered in other colors. I have washed it a couple times and it is holding up well as I expect nothing less of Icon products. If the temp drops below 50, it's certainly a must have.

Looks and wears great
I've used this for about a month now and it's great. Material feels soft against the neck and while not completely blocking airflow, is thick enough to keep you warm. I've washed it several times and it has required no special handling and has proved itself durable. If the style is to your liking you won't be disappointed.

Very warm but a bit scratchy!
I haven't had a chance to ride with this yet since it's single digits and icy outside. However, I've been wearing it outside while working and it's a nice piece of kit! For being Merino wool, it is a bit scratchy even after handwashing it in the sink. It's not as bad as Army surplus wool but not quite as soft as Smartwool.
I have other tube scarves but this is my new favorite. Keeps you warm and looks good, even off the bike. It's made well just like the other ICON products I've bought in the past.

Looks great and works just like it's suppose to.
• Good protection from the wind.
• None. It's a scarf! It does what scarves do.

Style, comfort and warmth
The Icon 1000 Ultra Tube Scarf is easy to slip over your head, long enough to create multiple layers for warmth when bunched up around your neck and super comfortable. Plus it is stylish. I love it.

I bought this because it looks really great, and wearing a long scarf is a bit tricky with its long ends and unreliable coverage. Once this scarf arrived, I was immediately impressed by Icon's packaging, as it was quite bold and expressive with its black box and silver embossing. The scarf's design was exactly as I'd hope, but was much larger than I expected. This is a boon, however, as it covers from the base of the neck up to the chin if you so choose. The layers that occur when the scarf is worn add wind protection, and once worn, this scarf is impenetrable.
This has proven to be a key item in my search for gear that will keep me on my bike all winter. Highly recommended.

This is a no brainer. If your neck gets cold when you ride, then buy this for twenty bucks.

I wanted a neck scarf for early morning commutes to work and liked the Icon style. It fits well around my linebacker size neck though it was a little scratchy at first. One thing to note is that this only covers the neck... I find it hard to get tucked down into my jacket enough to totally block the wind from getting through. I can pull it up around my chin and get my helmet strap over it though it can be a bit of struggle to get it to stay in place as i pull on my helmet. Once the cold has left the scarf does fold up nicely and fit well into a pocket on my jacket or in the compartment under my seat.
If you're looking for a little added protection from the wind but don't need full-on balaclava style protection, this is a good, stylish place to start.
