fits a hobbit better than an elf
in typical American style it's oversized in the gut. I could live with that but the arms are way too short, which makes the thumbholes useless. it cuts off the circ in my hands if I try to use them, and it fits terribly under my Spidi leather, which is what it's intended for. the arms stop 1/2way down my forearms and the extra gut material just hangs out the bottom of the jacket. I'm 5'7", 145, average build, as in the size people who don't eat fast food all day are supposed to be. it's getting so hard to find anything that fits anymore. American co's just assume we are all built like hobbits. but I'm built like an elf, dangit. if you have short arms and are wide in the middle then this is for you. if you are long and thin, keep looking, unless you dig the baggy thing. I'm going to try something from a european co, they still cater to the fit...

Nothing great, nothing bad......
As usual for Icon, this jacket is well constructed and fits true to size. It works well layered under a riding jacket to add warmth or you can wear it solo for casual use. Revzilla's rating categories don't really fit for this jacket. It is better than the ratings indicate. I have similar jackets made by Carhart, North Face and Sierra Designs, but I now wear the Icon most of the time when I need a jacket of this type.
If you need a base layer jacket or a lightweight shell for casual wear, this jacket is a good choice.
