Icon 1000 Elsinore Boots
Retro style with updated protection, Elsinore 1000 hits the mark!
I saw a review of the Icon Elsinore 1000 boots in Dirt Rider Magazine and I knew that I had to have them! I ride a KTM 990 Adventure R and have been looking for something slightly more user-friendly than my Sidi Crossfire 2 motocross boots for my light off-road travels. I wear size 14 boots/shoes, but most times motocross boots run too small. These boots fit exactly as advertised, are extremely comfortable and provide that great retro look! These boots provide the exact combination of protection, comfort and style for the type of trail riding that I will be doing. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase as well as the service provided by Revzilla!

Badass boot if you don't want to look like a track rider, but want protection.
The only downside is that they take a long time to break in. Which is good I guess, because that means they're good quality.

Favorite boots hands down
What can I say that others have not? Great boot with quality leather, ample protection from heat on a cruiser, feels fine to me walking around in daily activities, the break in time is very minimal. Perhaps 2-3 days. You may need to change the height of your gear shift and or rear brake depending on the clearance of your pegs vs your left and right controls. Once fixed, the gear shift fit perfectly for the extra amount of leather added for shifting. Breathability throughout this Summer (currently July 2015) is good considering the humidity. It doesn't get any more toasty than my red wings etc. The fit: Fit is perfect, get the size that you usually wear, the added bonus of being able to adjust the width of your calves is a nice touch with the buckles. (warning: may not be a good boot to wear with straight or boot cut jeans if you're blousing/tucking them in. Too much excess material inside the boot causes discomfort/pressure of the jean pushing up against the boot) Mainly meant for slim/skinnier cut pants and jeans in my opinion. Another added feature is using the buckle/belt as a way to house my boot knife. I carry a small fixed blade for everyday tasks and having one on my boot leaves room in my pockets and belt for other items. The buckles work almost as a 'molle' system for attachments. The look: IF this boot doesn't strike you as 'awesome' or something you'd wear from first glance then it probably isn't for you. It has very 'in your face' styling about it with the buckles going from calf to ankle. Old school moto x styling meets storm trooper. For me it fits perfectly.

Good looking, not so durable
I got these boots because I really like the old school motocross look, but wanted something newer with modern materials. Kind of wish I had spent my money on some $275 vintage alpinestars instead.
The boots fit well (I usually wear a 10 or 10.5 but the 9.5 fit me good and snug) and broke in quickly, but the first time I went to kickstart my 1980 IT425, the toe box crushed in, leaving little room for my toes, and rubbing the tip of my big toe raw during the ride. I later took the boots off and had a fun time pressing it back out from the inside. Now, at the least little bump (I have to be very careful of the footpeg when kick starting) the toe pops back inwards, protruding sharply into my toe box. I've even had it happen while riding through brush. Now I know this won't happen to everyone, but just to see if ICON would rectify the situation and replace my BRAND NEW and jacked up boots I contacted them and they told me there was nothing they could do because they had not heard of this being a problem. I guess there have to be a lot of people with the same problem for them to care. Anyways, some of the stitching on the top of the foot has come out, while much of the stitching is very robust and substantial.
Don't get me wrong, I love these boots. They are protective enough for dirt riding, although I wouldn't buy them if you ride especially hard in the dirt. Not very supportive on the calf for a skinny guy like me, but I'm not a motocross pro. They look great, especially when broken in, and I rode all day in them and was still pretty comfortable. I'm just careful about the toe popping back in.
REVZILLA was great, I believe they pointed me towards the ICON people, and the boots were shipped super quickly and arrived in that special REVZILLA box that lets you know it's Christmas. They also had the best price out there so I'll definitely remain a loyal REVZILLA customer

Love these boots....but
These boots look and feel awesome but I will probably have to return them. All my bikes have mid or slightly rearset controls and i just cant get the toe box under the shifter reliably.
If your controls will work with a boxier boot I would buy these in a heartbeat. They look fantastic and fit true to size.

Just got these boots haven't wore them riding yet. First note I have on the boots is if your calfs are skinny like mine you will definitely need to tuck your pants into your boots or the upper will feel loose and sloppy. Also they are very warm, but feel super comfy on my feet despite the heat that gets trapped in them.
