Icon Beltway Gloves

The limitless expanse of empty tarmac is both a path for escape and an empty stretch of horrors. Prepare for the one-two punch of reality with the ICON 1000 Beltway Glove. Abrasion-resistant French cowhide chassis and D3O® impact protectors are infused in a classic styling to evoke an era that few remember, but of which many dream. The floating knuckle and gathered elastic provide increased dexterity while the mid-length gauntlet accepts either over- or under-sleeve fitment, depending on your jacket.

Super Soft Glove The glove feels amazing to the touch, period. I usually wear a size medium glove, but after reading reviews I sprung for the size small and I'm glad I did they fit perfect, the finger length is really good I have long skinny fingers and thinner hands. As my hands are small the whole "wrist opening is to small" problem is not an issue. these gloves look great with more subdued riding close and the red leather is awesome looking. Not to sure about the D3O armor but I really hope to never test it and find out. January 27, 2014
Solid Gloves They almost feel broken in right out of the bag. Super soft leather... an excellent compliment to my Roland Sands Ronin. Beware if you have large wrists though, the cuff opening is extremely small. If you have small wrists or can manage your way through it, they feel perfect and fit true to size. The only reason I don't recommend these gloves is that they are too expensive IMO. November 20, 2013
Cool looking gloves! Gloves look amazing. They take about 2-3 hours to break in. Make sure you get you the exact size. They are pretty true to size if not a bit larger. I'm an alpinestar medium and a small in icon for reference. As far as protection I think there is plenty. I think it's more important to have thicker material than hard material. This glove does not have a hard knuckle protection but it does have thick foam and thick leather. I would feel total confident that it would be sufficient in a crash. October 25, 2013
Stylish but not much protection Overall I like these gloves, they're super soft, comfortable and they look good (I bought the red version). That said, don't expect much more protection then a normal un-armored deerskin/leather glove. The 3DO knuckle armor will help a little, but if you hit it with something hard you can definitely feel it on your knuckles. It won't protect them nearly as well in a crash as hard plastic or carbon armor. Sizing is about spot on but it's a tad small at the wrist, so if you have a big hand it will take some breaking in before they slip on easier. They are definitely not a winter glove, but for spring/summer/early fall they should serve you well. October 21, 2013
Belway Glove I am sorry to say that the cuff opening of these gloves is just wrong. I have tried 2 pairs now and just can't get my fingers in the glove opening to even get them on. The size chart says I need a large. The gloves seem to be a extra small at the cuff. Revzilla of course is awesome with returns and very responsive. Looks like it would be a great glove, just doesn't fit. September 24, 2013
Beltway leather gloves I wear a size large which is what I bought. The size once I get it broken in will be perfect. It's a little stiff right now. This glove, in my option will be for spring/fall. Although there are perforations I don't think it will flow enough air for the hot summer. Nice protection and well made. Also the cuff will not fit over your jacket. If your wearing a shirt it will but not a m/c jacket. It's very well made, the glove fingers are long enough so your finger does not hit the end of the glove finger when you clutch. April 15, 2013

A shopper asked: I'm just trying to see if these would be good gloves to have this upcoming summer or if I should instead invest in the Dianese X-ile gloves instead? I like the option of D3o for flex and better protection, but I'm wondering if the Beltway's have too much bulk for summer and are more suited for spring/fall use in cooler temperatures. Apr 16, 2013

Jonathan L: Ordered them and got them today. They are probably a slightly thicker weight than a standard cowhide work glove you'd get from Home Depot or Lowes in the areas without dense protective padding ?廷 finger sidewalls, etc. Also, the only ventilation is at the tips of the fingers for airflow ?廷 the knuckle perforation only lets the D3o pad breathe, the underside is solid. So, it depends on your comfort needs with that level of coverage and ventilation, given your climate. I think it might be a bit much for city riding in the Northeast summer time.

Also, take note: these are really big gloves with long fingers. I wear an Alpinestars medium (GPX glove), and ordered these in a size small and they still feel uncomfortably large and loose. They look good, but they're just too big. About the same size (maybe even a bit larger) as my cold weather Dianese Scout gloves externally, but without the insulation inside, so it's roomy.

Hopefully this helps other buyers out there. Cheers.
