Hotbodies TAG Fender Eliminator Kit Kawasaki Ninja 650R 2012-2015
Waste of money
I purchased this 4 months ago along with my new 650. Within 2 months on a canyon ride, it broke right at the seam. Meaning lost liscense plate, a day at the DMV, and a $20 replacement plate fee. Hot Bodies was nice enough to warranty my part with no charge and give me a good discount on a windscreen. After 3 weeks my replacement product broke AGAIN in the same spot. Another $20 plate replacement, hours at the DMV, and time lost to go ride. So i am invested $80 in the crapper, with a broken fender eliminator kit..... DO NOT BUY!

The kit comes with nothing but a cheap plastic bracket with a small cheap led light. No hardware at all. Not worth 45$ by any means. I wish I never had bought it and just went with the more expensive yoshimura FE. Waste of money

READ BEFORE YOU BUY
I'm not sure why everyone is knocking this fender eliminator kit. If you read the description it clearly states that this is made out of ABS plastic. As far as the quality of this piece is concerned it is good quality ABS. If you want "solid construction" that you can drive your big HEMI truck over then you need to pay a lot more and look elsewhere. If you want a well-constructed ABS plastic fender eliminator kit that looks good and will stand the test of time on your sport bike then this is it!
As others have mentioned there are no instructions for a piece of plastic with an LED light… But It’s not rocket science… I am by NO MEANS a mechanic, electrician or wiring enthusiast and I had no trouble wiring this up. There are two wires that connect to your stock tail light wires. I used soldering and heat shrink (very inexpensive) and it worked great and looks professional.
As far as fit and finish is concerned it fits and looks GREAT. I have a 2013 ninja 650 and it looks fantastic! It fits my bike just fine and appears as though it was a genuine Kawasaki part. I opted for this fender eliminator because I wanted the slimmest and simplest one I could get. I didn’t want a bulky fender eliminator that’s made to put blinkers on because I have integrated blinkers in my tail light. I wanted a fender eliminator kit that was designed to look slick without blinkers and THIS IS IT!!!
I knocked off 1 star because it comes with no mounting hardware and I had to pay about 70 cents at Atwoods for the nuts, bolts, and washers I needed. The holes in the stock fender are threaded so the bolts just went down through the seat and threaded into the stock fender. This Fender eliminator isn’t threaded and I needed nuts and bolts to hold it to my bike.
The LED light isn’t fancy at all. It’s a single LED light that does light my plate but does leave a lot to be desired if gawking at your license plate at night is your thing... :-\
READ the reviews… READ the product description… then decide if this is right for you. This product looks great on my bike and has stood up to hundreds of miles of highway riding as well as in town through some gravel and mud. It’s a GREAT deal for the money. Can you drive your car over it without hurting it?.... NO… can you put it on your sport bike (that you should be taking good care of) and use it for years to come? I would say YES!

Get what you pay for!!! Literally!
So I wanted a "fender eliminator" for my bike but didn't want to pay the steep price so I went with this and let me say its just "ok". It is very cheaply made ( just thin plastic). It comes with ABSOLUTELY zero instructions and honestly not that much comes in this kit. I ended up making it work on my bike and it looks alright cosmetically but I am very worried that when I am riding, its going to crack, break, fall off, etc… Its just a little this piece of plastic that is quite flexible and it has a built in LED license plate light that literally only shows the middle of your plate. If your good with this kind of stuff (can make it work) and don't want to spend more on the better kits, then go ahead and try it for $45 but just be cautious if your looking for quality and durability. Hope this helped.
