Hotbodies Superbike Undertail Kit Honda CBR1000RR 2008-2011
Not so easy to install!
Ok, so I bought the Hotbodies undertail as part of my CBR1000RR's overhaul. The undertail is solid, the plastic is thick and sturdy. Be warned, there is some bike modification required. They require you to shave down sections of the tail fairing, which easy pretty easy with a Dremel. Anyway, because I have aftermarket fairings the undertail didn't fit perfectly. I had to shave and mod most of the tabs for it to snap into place. It was also incredibly difficult to install the tail light, I needed a second pair of hands to hold it in place while I forced the undertail on. I blame most of this on the aftermarket (Chinese) fairings for all the fitment problems. Hooking up the lights was straightforward and very easy, plus they include the terminals and ties. The finished product looks fantastic! The signals work flawlessly and the set up has held up great after about two months of daily commutes to work.

I have to say I was skeptical based on other reviews I read. This project takes some time so bring some patience. Once installed it looks awesome! Not sure why Kawasaki didn't develop something like this out of the gate. The turn signals are extremely bright which was one concern I had. I rated it a four out of five as the plate mounts are a joke. You will need to build your own. I used hard plastic tubing and cut two small wedges on the top plate mounts and 3/4 inch tubes on the lower plate and ran bolts with lock nuts.

Poor fitment, even worse paint
First I will start with the positive about this product.. While the design idea behind this under tail is awesome, with the integrated turn signals, and they are super bright, I had very high hopes of a great product, but it is poorly designed, the fitment is terrible, and the paint looks like they gave a four year old finger paint and told him to have at it. the mounting holes for the taillight were off center, and the section where the tail light meets the under tail is not even at all. if it weren't for the fact that I had already ordered one and returned it in hopes of getting a better quality one, I would return this one as well. And I understand that this is an aftermarket part, and they never do quite fit like OEM, but this would be an amazing product if Hotbodies took more care in the manufacturing of it.

Exactly what I wanted
Great product, looks superb on my bike, however the paint job was not very even. I would recommend buying a blank one and paint it yourself or have someone in auto do it. It's not too noticeable though, only close up in the light. It was quite easy to install, however you have to drill your own holes for the license plate.

Nice, clean look
This product makes my bike look a heck of a lot better after install. Wasn't quite able to get the fit perfect, but it's not the noticeable. All lights function as expected. I am happy with the results. Installation was a snap. It's a good product. I chose this particular model for the integrated turn signals that give it that sleek look. The visual just flows with no breaks in the lines....

Pretty good fit on my ZX10R
I've bought other undertail kits before but never from hotbodies. The undertail is basically a molded fibergalss material, and it fit pretty much perfect. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the pain in the a** it is to glue your tail light to the undertail. Once you get that right, (took me 2 tries) it looks awesome.

Just installed this on my bike today and after actually getting some hands on time with it...Definitely not impressed. Once you FINALLY get it on your bike (2013 ZX10R) it does look nice from a distance but the installation was a pain in the butt and not as easy and quick as the YouTube video made it seem. The only reason it gets 2 stars from me is the fact that it looks better than the stock fender/license plate holder. I expected more quality after paying over $200.
