Great helmet accessory to have...
Haven't actually used this particular chin curtain however every helmet I've ever used with one has been a positive experience. I suppose the only time I would not consider using it would be if I wanted more airflow during hot summer month riding. You may be trading off quietness but I can't imagine how much at this time. Again, all of my helmets I ride with have chin curtains so I'm more inclined to always use one. This one however is going into a helmet I bought for my wife so I hope she likes it. Oh one more thing... As we ride 2-up the quietness to me would be a big deal so I am hoping for us to be able to hear each other better as we a riding down the road.

Product will not stay connected to the helmet very well.
Product will not stay connected to the helmet very well.. Wen you pull the helmet face down, it gets caught on your chin. It will get knocked off of the helmet easily and is then useless. It is kinda a pain at that point.

Priced right, blocks air, and perfect fit
I noticed a huge difference in the amount of wind/air that I was getting up through the chin bar on the Symax3 compared to my older HJC helmets without a chin curtain. I was apprehensive when considering the purchase of this chin curtain for my ~2013 Symax3 based on the prior review where they received the incorrect part. I had another order that I was making which qualified for free shipping, so I figured I'd give this chin curtain a shot since it's only just over six bucks. I was disappointed when I first received it because it kept falling out of the helmet every time I would open the modular or take the helmet off. This happened four to five times the night I was checking it out, but I finally realized that I hadn't pressed hard enough on the little plastic tabs to get them to properly seat in the designed locations. Once I got that straight then it has been perfect ever since. It makes the helmet much nicer to wear without all the air coming in from the chin. I also run the Sena SMH10R with the boom mic between the cheek pad and the helmet and have no trouble opening and closing the modular section of the Symax3 with the mic in place. I may have to slightly adjust the mic once the modular is closed, but only by maybe a half an inch through the shield opening. Highly recommended product.

Correct Part Not In the Package
I received my order for this product and could not make it fit. To begin with It looked different than pictured. The SYMAX 3 takes in a massive airflow. So I contacted the sales dept and it turns out the wrong product was in the SYMAX3 part numbered bag. Of course I was given full credit back.
But , I have tried all types of wind protectors and scarves and none help. I have to literally stuff material into the opening or not use the helmet in less that 75* weather.

A shopper asked:I have the Sena Smh10-11. Will I be able to mount it using the clamp and cover up the door to the chatterbox mounting area? I am hoping I can do this or I will have to look at another helmet. Also does the helmet come with a chin curtain or do I have to purchase the chin curtain seperatly?Apr 29, 2014
