Great Helmet!
Bought this to replace my Shoie Rf1100. Was gonna buy this instead of the shoie but was talked into the rf1100, which was a good helmet. But I must say I'm glad I got the rps10 now! This helmet is awesome. Feels lighter then the shoie, comes pin lock ready and comes with the attachment for tear-off's. My head is probably more oval then round and this helmet feels better then the shoie which I was told the shoie is shaped for my head. I got the Mugello graphics, which looks awesome and was on sale for almost half price. Couldn't ask for a better helmet for that money. Glad HJC is stepping there game up!

Best "higher end" helmet you can get if you have a rounder head shape.
I purchased the HJC Ben Spies RPS-10 from Revzilla. My head measurement is about 57.5cm which puts me in a size MED. My head shape is round which made it REALLY hard for me to find a race or higher end helmet (as most of them are intermediate oval shape).
The shape of this helmet is "rounder" but not fully round as it still requried a bit of a break in before it was comfortable for my round head. However it seems like that this is the closest to a race helmet I can fit.
I've been told that the RPHA-10 is slightly narrower than the RPS-10 but very slightly. I went with the RPS-10 because I'm from out of the US so the exchange policy that Revzilla has does not work for me.
The helmet is super light and comfortable. All the reviews on the net will tell you this, so I'll tak about things I didn't like.
1) The air flow on the chin vent is pretty much useless but they fixed this on the RPHA-10.
2) The helmet is to the loud side, not super loud but definitely not a quiet helmet. You will definitely need to wear ear plugs (as you should for any helmet).
3) Anti fog pinlock insert reflects too much glare which can be annoying sometimes. Also that with it on and being in a 3/4 position it will get in the way of your vision. But it comes free with the helmet so I guess you really can't complain. Also the anti fog really works.

Exactly what I wanted
At fist I bought this helmet mostly because of the Monster claw features, but after wearing it for the first time at the track was a very happy experience. Pervioualy I had been wearing ARAI helmets which are a little smaller in shell sive compared to this one so i was wondering how much weight differeence there would be. Was suprised that despite the size it actuall seemed lighter than the Arai helmets that I previously used.

Awesome helmet!!
First of all--this helmet looks awesome. The graphics look much better in person than they do in the pictures. I've worn HJC's for years, and the RPS-10 fits my head great!! The helmet is really light, resulting in less neck fatigue on longer rides. The eyeport is a little short from top to bottom but takes little time to get adjusted to the ey port. The shield mechanism is, also, great. Changing shields take just a few seconds. The shield also locks closed--no more accidentally opening the shield with a head check. The helmet's vents are easy to operate and flow air very well. Great helmet!!

Works on impact
this helmet certainly works when it comes to safety. i had an accident recently and it definitely saved me from further damage. this paint scheme is also awesome looking and the helmet is just great all around.

Great Helmet for the price!!!
Have an Arai RX-7 that I love but was time for a new lid. This time I wanted to be on a budget but still find the best helmet I could for the money. If that’s what you’re doing...look no further!! This helmet plain rocks for the price. HJC has stepped up their game. As for the helmet, looks wise...it looks great...love the flat black and the simple design...not to fond of the big Monster logos but hey its BS11 race rep so what can I do. Noise wise...not as quiet as my Arai but not loud either...I wear plugs or headphones anyway. Fit/size wise...a little snug at first but broke in fine I'm a LRG in Arai so I ordered a LRG. Airflow wise...I would say average...my Arai flows better. Weight wise...REALLY light but honestly can’t tell the difference between my Arai and the HJC...I guess that’s a good thing! Changing the face shield is a simple as a shoei. Only complaint is the chin strap is kind of an Adams Apple choker. It is position really high. Fast shipping and great price as always from RevZilla!!
