A great helmet with few downsides I've only been using the helmet for 3 months but so far it's performing well. The only real problem I've had is visibility when the pinlock is fitted to the clear visor. Because I use this for racing and spend a lot of time crouching & looking through the top of the visor the line at the top of the pinlock cuts the visibility a little. I've never had it fog up so maybe that's a small price to pay February 25, 2015
Great trackday helmet. Bought this helmet mostly for track days. Great air flow easy to check behind you going at speed on track. Not moving, you can easily fog up your windshield when closed. Would definitely recommend a anti-fog windshield, it is better if you take the chin curtain off. Overall great track day helmet and stunning looks. February 23, 2015
Almost there! I started ridding motorcycles about two weeks ago and picked the RPHA 10 as my first helmet. All of the reviews were awesome and the fact that it was DOT AND SNELL certified only made it more convincing. Three days after getting the helmet I was riding at night going 35-40mph coming to a soft turn with the recommended speed being 30mph. The front of the bike started to slip and in an effort to get it back up I pull to the other side but there was a median and it didn't allow me the space that I needed to prevent a fall. The from tire hit the median and sent me flying side ways. I credit the helmet and it's incredibly comforting interior that all I had was a small neck strain. According to other riders that were with me I landed right on the left temporal region of my head. The helmet performed excellent. It's supper comfortable inside, the field of vision is good, noise level is acceptable, air flow is pretty good and overall an awesome helmet. I will take a couple of points off for two things: 1. The lack of wow! effect of the graphics. Was not impressed. 2. The shield will fog in cold temperatures around mid 50's and that's not too cold. You will need an insert in order to remedy that. A PLUS!!! And this is a big one... I was able to fit my sun glasses with the helmet on and it did not created any pressure points and made the helmet uncomfortable. Overall, because of its performance in the real world of motorcycle and crashing I can recommend this helmet and will buy another one for myself. Ps. My girlfriend ones one, I own one, and a couple of bodies one this helmet. Everyone agrees it is premium and well made. February 9, 2015
Good deal, great helmet! I am a HJC guy. Have worn their AC-12 Carbon since 2006 and it has been simply the best helmet I have ever worn. From RT66 to Patagonia and South Africa, it has always been ready to explore and enjoy. Can't get liner parts anymore, so decided to go with the top of the line RPHA. LOVE it! As always, fit is perfect from the start with no hot spots. Lighter that I expected And the icing on the cake...got it on sale and saved 1/2. February 3, 2015
Picking up a second! What a fantastic lighweight track ready helmet. HJC really gives a lot of bang for the buck with this helmet! January 20, 2015
Gets the job done. A good helmet for the price. Has good airflow and it quite. January 5, 2015
Lifesaving helmet - Highly recommended. Strong, Lightweight, little fogging, great visibility, average noise (full tuck) At the end of the day a helmet's job is to save your life; and this helmet did exactly that. This helmet was extremely comfortable to wear in all riding conditions and its lightweight ensured there was no fatigue on those extended rides. The helmet protected me when I crashed at approximately 50 mph to where I had a direct landing on the front/visor part of the helmet. Between this helmet and my Alpinestar jacket; I had very minimal damage on what would have been a very nasty wreck. The ONLY thing that would have made this helmet better would be if they developed a shield that changed based on light conditions; as changing shields is a PITA when the weather/time of day changes. Massive bang for buck, SNELL rated, lightweight Coming from an HJC CL-16, I heavily considered this and the RF1200 helmet. Both fit well, but at nearly half the cost, this helmet is almost every bit as good as the RF1200. Solid feel on the visor action, and the liner feels just a hair less quality than the Shoei. Bonus that this helmet includes the chin-curtain, breath guard. Much quieter than the CL16, 90% less tweaking when head-checking, this helmet offers a lot for the money. Way lighter too, and comparing both Larges, this is packaged much smaller. Those with glasses may bump into the breath guard just a bit, but it's fine once it's on your noggin'. The guard + curtain does make glasses fog up quite bad/quickly when the ambient temps are below freezing. (no the visor) I'm no scientist, but I think it's simply not enough circulation at that point. (can be fixed by opening vents/cracking the visor, but it's too cold when below freezing to do so). RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Earkes S: I went to a local store searching for a new helmet and i never bought a HJC helmet, but once i tried it on i loved how light this specific helmet was, and how well it fit my narrow head. I went to this website that a friend of mine told me about and found it cheaper then on the German market...revzilla will get all my future business. Apr 24, 2014
travis b: very sexy!!! Apr 1, 2014
Dirk K: Needed a helmet that was rated for the track. Had friends recommend the RPHA 10 helmet lines. Couldn't love them more. Features and comfort are well worth the money. Aug 29, 2013
A shopper asked: If in a raining situation , will i be neat and dry if i close out all the vents? Aug 31, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Jerome B: Completely dry? No. But no premium race-level helmet will keep your head completely dru. The top of the rpha-10 helmet has 2 holes, which lead straight to the inside of the helmet for breathability, wicking of inner odor and moisture, and aerodynamic function. I have been stuck in pooring rain for 2+ hours twice and my head was barely wet (just a few drops).

The holes can easily be taped, considering they are about 1/8 inch in size each.

The only down side, if any, of this helmet are the 2 holes on the top. But the light weight, great wind deflecting, easy visor system, and bang for the buck premium helmet pricing vastly outweighs the one "downside".

Hope this helps!

Kelly H: If you close the chin and to cents you will stay dry.But this us a sport bike helmet, and sport bikes have almost no rain protection for your head. you will get wet, but the rain will not be coming through vents, it will be down your back and chest first. I have been stuck in the rain. But by the end of it all of me was at least a little damp. Sep 5, 2013

Jordan F: Yes, it's a very comfortable & dry helmet. I got caught in a bad rain storm and when I got home I was soaked from my neck down. From the neck up I was completely dry. Sep 4, 2013

Mihailo D: I have never been in a raining situation with this helmet, but IMO you should be fine and dry. Only concern are two vents that can't be close, but I don't think much rain will go inside throughout those. Sep 4, 2013

Ondre C: I've yet to ride during the rain since I've had this helmet so I wouldn't know. I can definitely feel the difference when the vents are closed though. Regardless, you'll still look good Sep 6, 2013

christopher d asked: I really like this helmet im just curios to what hjc visor type you would need to buy? Because i would like to also get some sort of tinted or smoked visor to go with the helmet. Jul 23, 2014

john m. m: I got my HJC RPHA about a month ago just before leaving on a 1000 trip around PA. I didn' have time to get a tinted shield so the clear was my only choice. I experienced some rain, some night riding (very little) and a lot of bright sun. I used a pair of polorized sunglasses mostly. Riding west into the setting sun has always created a problem which I solved by using a piece of colored tape across the top 1/4 of the visor - great help. The problem with tinted shields is at night - you just can't see details. It's almost a toss-up but sometimes you need both on a trip. Hope that helps. I also used a pair of clear safety glasses with 1.5 magnifiers for looking at details on maps. Jul 23, 2014

Jack D: Smoked shield is best.

Helmet is very light fits great and flows air like crazy.

I have higher priced helmets that have trouble measuring up to the RPHA :)

HERNANDO D: I recommend the smoke or amber visor, tinted give more aggressive look but are very delicate,
I recommend the helmet hjc graffitti lorenzo the graphics are better

A S asked: One question, i am going to buy this helmet no doubt about it. But on the size chart i am a 22 on the dot... Would i buy a small or should i go with a medium? I know i wear a medium AGV but the area just behind the cheeks are a little loose. I have a narrow face so im not sure which to get and i know the exchange policy is painless, would just like to get it right the first time. Jun 24, 2014

Adam K: Yea a medium sounds like it will be a good fit for you,I've had medium in avg before and found them tight too,but this hjc is a better fit, only thing is it feels tight at first but wear it for a few days and it will be shaped to your head, and just in case you live over seas from revzilla, make sure they mark the delivery down as a "gift"!!! They put my helmet down as merchandise and I got hit with a )€80 import charge which is about $100!!! But other then this i am still very happy with this helmet Jun 24, 2014

Jesse C: This helmet fit is amazing, I'm a chubbier cheek guy it seems :-/ but the pads fit nicely and not squishing my face.. I have a large head and had hjc before and stayed with same size, this one is by far comfortable and nicer fit, as well as feeling lighter! The pads are very soft and feel just right... I would stay with the sizing chart it worked well...my face is narrow also but the cheeks... If that concerned order smaller, than u can go up in size to be sure... Jun 25, 2014
Reply to Jesse Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Earkes S: I would go with the small helmet. One thing I like about HJC helmets is that there more narrow for folks who don't have round heads. Go with a small you will like it. This Helmet is not as quiet as I thought it would be for the price, but it makes up for it in fit, comfort, and ventilation...great purchase! Jun 25, 2014

Clement N: If you want a snug fit, definitely go with a Small as the cheekpads are quite soft. I am usually sized right in the middle of most Mediums, but my helmet could be a bit more snug. Jun 24, 2014

A shopper asked: One of the reviews mentioned that this helmet is good for track but not so for street use (the vents will only do justice at high speed) . I dont really track on my bike and mainly use it on urban settings (stop and go traffic). I also use it mainly during summer so i'm wondering if this helmet would suit summer riding on urban setting, given that i wont be going high speed most of the time? Oct 9, 2013

Minh N: I also only use this helmet for street, wouldnt find any problem with the ventalation. It is pretty decent if you ride over 40km/h.if below that u could open the visor. The head angle also has quite an impact on the ventalation.if you tilt your head down a bit like racing position, it will suck more air. abel r: Don't let the track reference scare you off! I own both the Megello and the RPHA 10 and the air flow us just fine. On a super hot day if I'm not getting the full flow of air I just open all the vents and crack the shield open one click, it won't come flying open so don't worry but it will give you more air flow. (No high speeds when doing this) Comfort and air flow is good and the graffix will surely please you! Buy it! Oct 9, 2013

Patrick M: I doesn't have much venting when you go slow. But normally when I ride in traffic, I have my visor open so its still cool enough for me. This helmet is a masterpiece. You can't even notice its weight on your head. All I have to say is its worth the money. Oct 9, 2013

Carlton S: This helmet provides ample airflow with multiple vent adjustments. Comfort, reliability, and fit makes this an all around head protection equipment that performs consistently in the Miami humid and hot environment. Well recommended. Oct 9, 2013

Ondre C: As much as I would love recommend it because this is a beautiful helmet, I wouldn't recommend it for stop and go traffic. The airflow system is designed more for medium to high speed rides (track, canyon, freeways). Oct 9, 2013
